Hi all,

For tonight's TTJ we're going to try something new and include our fellow Tanks in the Gold realm of the CoX universe. It's never been attempted before now (largely because there was no way too...), so this will be a new venture for all.

In order to facilitate the event we'll need to communicate. To that end I propose we use the TankHQ channel (we pretty much do this already during TTs).

As I've stated on other threads I'll be in King's Row tonight and will need a co-host to organize the Tanks in Praetoria. It should be pretty straight forward there. Organize in to teams and roll out.

For TTJ Praetoria participants, meet in Nova Praetoria on the East side of the CTA (train station).

For TTJ Blue side Participants, meet in King's Row by IP Gate and we'll decide on TF's\trials\missions depending on turnout and levels available.

As always TT will start at 6pm PDT\9pm EDT, in King's Row for Blue Side participants, by the CTA in Praetoria for Gold side participnats.

Don't forget to join TankHQ, (/chan_join TankHQ or /chanjoin TankHQ). I'll post something in the MoTD on both TankHQ and the Tankers channels as soon as I can.

We're going to try that tomorrow. We'll need someone in Praetoria to organize the event and someone in King's Row. Atm, it looks like I'll be in King's. I think we can coordinate as long as we're all on TankHQ.

I currently don't have anyone lined up to be my co-host in Praetoria, but hopefully someone will come forward. I think the key is to get everyone on TankHQ and then we'll go from there.

That's pretty much how it goes, with an additional one on Friday's at midnight.

I've got an Electric/Fire/Fear (Fear chosen for concept reasons) at 50. I use an AoE Speed build for running standard content (I'm looking to respec and tweak a little with what I've learned in the process), and a more Single target "Regen" build for Tanking Hami. I will say that a little defense goes a long way with Resistance sets. To which end you might want to check out Dechs's "Dark Armor Sucks" thread and Call_Me_Awesome's guild for ideas on building defense.

Electric Tanks really benefit from recharge. There were posts on this a while back (probably around pages 6-8 now). I'd say look at those and see what you think. The only thing That can really knock you down quickly is Toxic damage, which you'll have zero Defense and Resistance to. I wish Electric Armor had at least a little of one or the other, but oh well...

I have, Electric/Fire/Pyre, Electric/SS and an Electric/Dark Tanks at various levels and always enjoy running them. Remember on large teams you'll likely have access to buffs, so those will help compensate for any shortcomings while you're settling into the set (and likely give you ideas to refine the build). I've run ITF and most other TFs with my Electric/Fire/Fear and had no real trouble. Defense, heading for Softcap will really help if you're looking for that "Invuln" kinda' feeling". Otherwise, speed is your friend, and don't forget a Winter's Gift's 20% Slow Resistance as any slowdowns kill your speed.

Thanks for the info Grey, depending on what happens with this coming TTJ (coordinated Praetorian, and Regular event), we can work Victory in next month.

Also November is another 5 Tuesday month, so even more Tanking goodness as the holidays approach!

Here's the list for September:
1st Tuesday the 7th, Champion
2nd Tuesday the 14th, Justice (reg TT + Praetorian TT?)
3rd Tuesday the 21st, Freedom (Synapse\Manti TFs?)
4th Tuesday the 28th, Guardian (open to suggestions, otherwise Citadel?)


For Justice's TT we could run a combined Praetorian\regular TTJ in, we'd just have to keep in contact using TankHQ and/or one of the Justice channels. This would superceed the October 26th date we had discussed and allow us to hit another server on that date. Let me know what you think.

Great job tonight at the pre-spawned 3RNR'r. Aside from a bit of server lag on the first round I thought all went well. Hopefully I'll have some time this coming weekend to work on my binds and get myself ready for the next Wednesday raid. If all goes well, this weekend, we'll look at doing a 2RNR this coming Wednesday.

If you're interested, please bring Nukes, Shivans and HVAC. I'll need a Hami Taunter and team leaders as well. So, if you're up for it, post here or give me a shout in game.

We had a great turnout last night, and managed to get four teams rolling. An ITF which from the sounds of things, did great a Posi TF team, I thought they did parts 1 and 2, but I won't swear to it, and two PI missions teams. Thanks all for coming out and thank you Virtue for such a great turnout! Next TT is September 7th on Champion (the Home of Tanker Tuesday!). I'll post the September TT schedule in a day or so.
