Tanker Tuesday's Summer Freeze

Hi all,

Having just finished July's TTJ it's time to start looking towards August and our next Power Set highlight event. August 10th's TTJ will be highlighting the Ice Power sets, Armor and Melee, and concepts and Power Customizations that fit into this catagoy.

As always all Tanks are welcome regardless of level and Power Sets. This event will have a "Freeze" theme.

Hi all,

Sorry it's been so long since the initial post, I'm still working out some of the details/surprises and didn't want to indicate any until I knew a bit more. As these things go the finer points are still up in the air (I'm hoping they land soon).

Here's some ideas: (prizes still to be determined, but will probably be "Freeze" based or "Tanker Friendly").

1) Best concept toon (best use of powers, colors, costume to convey the "Summer Freeze" theme). So, yeah, a costume contest.

2) Surprise reward if the Spirit of Tanking favors us.

3) Participation reward.

I'm still looking for a good "close to the theme" TF to run.

If you're an Ice Melee'r don't forget to spam Ice Patch when we gather, also drop Ice Storm if you have Arctic Mastery.

Also of note this TTJ will mark our one year anniversary here on Justice!!! Great job all!!

Also, also, this will be a P.E.R.C. Event!

Well first off my Fire/Fire tank has his winter costume on and I made all his powers are the color of ice for this . Second off I think a KHTF might be appropriate for this since first off there is some baddies in there u see for the winter event, and second off storm powers is close to ice.

Hmmmmm.... might have to take Arti' to the tailor....

I am going to bring my Stone/Stone tank instead of my Fire/Fire, Try to get some lvls on it atm it is lvl 46. almost lvl 47. But I got a Ice theme powers for her.

And NOW I find out free server transfers are coming back...GRRR.

That was a fun Tanker Tuesday Justice event this evening. There was quite the turn out. With the Costume Contest, prizes handed out by Warboss (which I believe were funded by the PERC staff; Philly Girl was hanging around so I'm guessing she had a hand there.), and event Gold Names handed out by a visiting Mod_8 it was a sight. (Mod_8 switching to a Paladin costume was amusing.)

I want to thank Warboss, Ice Knight, and anyone else who helped organize the event. I think we ended up with at least 4 teams going. There was one running a KHTF, one running a Citadel and at least two radio teams going. I ended up on one of the teams running radios in PI.

Okay big turnout tonight.

I paid BIG MONEY to transfer my Ice/Ice tanker from Protector. Hope he finds a good home on Justice.

Anyhoo, picked up a spiffy gold title.





I got picked up for a Citadel. We tore through it like nothing. An Ice patch and a couple shield charges just WRECK enemies.



Went in at level 25. Came out just shy of level 27. Thwapped a few enemies in Croatoa and 2 levels out for the night.

Not bad.

Well TTJ has a big hit everyone that showed got a gold tittle from Mod8. I did a KHTF took a little longer then Expected but was fun none the less. The first mish was the hardest for are end kept getting drained. The only biggest problem with the whole event I saw was the Global's went down during the event. We had know idea if any loose tanks showed up or not. But it came back up as the event was ending.

Great TT guys! And how awesome to have The Ocho stop by and hand out pretty golden titles. Thanks so much!

Thank you to the organizers for the lovely door prizes, as well as the very generous costume contest awards. I got 3rd place! woot!



I thought the KHTF went about as well as could be expected. We had some returning players, as well as a couple (such as myself) who had not run the durn thing in a good long while.

Even though we were hit pretty hard by Miss Mary Mac's minions end. drain, we fell into a groove; a kind of circulation of "holders" and "resters"... fall back, rest, jump back into the fray... lather, rinse, repeat. There were a few faceplants, but hey, that's the way it goes sometimes.

The last mish was ... well... kinda funny, actually, in a "Keystone Cop" kinda way:
"Where is she?", "Who has her?", "What is she doing?", "We need a flyer", "I got SJ", "She keeps aggroing", "Gah! another ambush"... We did finally get her to the exit, but I was cracking up the whole time.

Everyone kept their good humor, and I think we all had a good time.

I just stoped by to see the good turn out and chit chat Iceknight said he had about 35 I just had to go see. It was nice to see since I think Tanker Tue. Is alot of fun.

We had a great turn out for the TT "Summer Freeze" and one anniversary of TTJ! We also had some great costume/theme/concepts to help keep the event in theme. So, thanks to all for the creative work and effort put into your toons. I'd like to give a big Tanker Tuesday salute to Ice Knight and P.E.R.C for supplying us with the prizes and to The Ocho for the cool (pun intended) gold titles.

We had four teams running, two Task Forces (Katie and Citadel) and two radio teams.

As mentioned, the globals went down which made picking up our TT strays and keeping in touch a bit difficult, but on the plus side I think enough folks out there know us TT vets and are able to put players interested in the event in contact with us. So, good job and tanks to all you TT vets out there that come to all the TTs and "tour" with us.

As always I like to thank all who lead teams (makes organizing the events easier) and a special thanks the Rangle, Ice and The Ocho who were my fellow CC/theme judges. And, another special thanks to Rangle who helped get things rolling so I could finish handing out prizes and such.

Oh, and we had a special visit from Philly who brought her rather peculiar "Tank" with a power set I didn't recognize... Always good to see you!

This was my first TT, and it was good to see that social gatherings still happen after all these years. Taking down Mary was interesting, to say the least! That constant END drain was a pain, to say the least. Halfway through the fight I just gave up on keeping my toggles up while fighting Mary herself.
