AE is lulzy at best, there was a flame war in some hero zone the other day becuase a player logged on, fixed his arcs, played them and they were giving no XP.
It just perpetuates the perception that the devs have no real "game" experience in this, data can only go so far. -

Most non-pvpers play the game BECUASE it is PvE Centric, not PvP centric or even balanced with PvP in mind. Many PvE'rs, when asked, will say they don't pvp cuz of "trash talk". In actuality the truth is that many simply just don't want to PvP. Period. They use trash talk as an excuse.
Honestly, that false perception proves to be something that greatly annoys me often. -

The GSFC is still buggy, as are all the BU procs, they will sometimes fire, but not play the symbol, and will sometimes play the symbol, its really lulzy that way.
Other procs you might not notice unless you're actively watching your combat log, what procs are you looking for, we can prolly help more with that info. -

But that perception is old, and to say its a common perception is less then accurate. Most people play this game, play it becuase its PvE centric, not PvP centric like many others. Their excuse takes the form of that perception, and is often used as a last resort in an arguement when all rational is exausted.
SO in truth, using that "Common Perception" is slightly muddled when it comes to credibility. I've played long enough, and had enough wonderful friends in this game, to know the truth to this, and as odd as it seems, it is kinda the truth. -

Well we have had the word need redefined recently, why don't you lay out what you mean by functional ?
I actually have no real idea how long it takes me to get a toon to 50, I actually play them for the enjoyment of playing them. While there are many things, I don't like about the game there are many I do. The fastest I can recall getting a character to 50 was during the AE speed craze and he was logged in with a friend to pad out the farms.
I do know people that have their characters in mid levels for months or years and I would hardly call them lazy tards.
If you can please link to your 100 million pvp build, I am not up for punching at air.

I play a few times a month. If there is an event run by perc, or if there is something going on with the more sportsmanlike players. Or if I happen to be badging in a pvp zone and there is still someone there. Its enough to have the joy of people encourage all sorts of things.
I think everyone agreed that PvP 1.0 was a better game and the PvP 2.0 changes were not an improvement. The question are PvP drops helping PvP and the implied why or why not ?
You have to tell me what you think my core issues are ? I know many people that just don't want to get involved in the pvp community for some or all of the reasons I presented.

What I have been saying is no one should have to go through that kind of agita just to pvp.
What I have been getting back is people saying if newbies don't get the pain we had to go through, and we don't get to wail on them with the that extra edge above skill, it devalues our accomplishments.
To that I say, don't be surprised that people aren't flocking to the arenas, and the devs are deaf to your concerns and have a very localized case of alzheimers about anything they may have said concerning them.
I see lots of reasons people play this game, but all I can say with certainty is that it is my opinion that your description of why the majority of people play this game is at best inadequate. -

I stayed exclusively in sirens from I13 to about I14, because RV was really laughable in I13 when elusivity was king. Imagine a whole zone of defense melee toons, with nobody being able to hit anybody else lol. Anyway, sirens can be very fun, but lately it seems to be a ghost town compared to RV. Seriously. -

Worst part is, PvE'rs who are interested in the PvPOs, get friends and FARM for them; Was on guardian or infinity, was grabbin nukes in the morn and ran into a 16 man pvp io farm in the web.

My 2 cents to the rant;
YAY REAL LIFE OMG
I played 4 years varsity center on a football team, I would ****-talk anyone in front of me, goading them into anger made them easier, made them reckless.
In any place where it is possible to gain an advantage that is allowed within rules, players will exploit it.
I have found that talking "****" gets me ALOT more kills in zones, as I am often singled out and persued, which gives me an advantage of using superior tactics over someone, even if its as simple as bringing the fight into the spiders/npc's.
Its that and the constant hatred and contempt the outside community has always really showed the PvP community tends to cause bitter feelings and vile anger, I take psychology class's, and seeing HOW the PvP community has been treated over the development of the game leads to bitter-ness and favors the "****" talking side of the competitiveness.
Although I doubt barrier knows or recognizes any of this is up for further debate (<3 u barrier, in a non-**** kinda way)
Advice:
You won't earn the wrath of god for using inspirations.
Move, Move, and if u type, use a bind like I do, /bind Enter ++up$$begin_chat or however its made, I dunno off the top of my head/
KSing isn't bad, its a sign of intelligent target prioritization
Have fun, join the **** talks, its a game, laff at it. -
