I have no preferences on teams on Pinn, though obviously having teamed with JK and Kiwi and Funk before it's easier with those people. I'm going to be running (order of preference) my Emp, Rad/Psy (lf PL, level 35 now...) or Cold on a team so whatever, really.
Anyway. glhf in the last match of PinnCup and the Chase Wednesday... -

I know you're not looking for a sg but Lethal Ladies (lethalladies.guildportal.com) is fairly busy on evenings. You can contact @Dakota Sunrise or @Fateweaver or myself @Neuronia about it.
Other options are "Cozmic's Playground" global channel, which is fairly busy and "PinnBadges" (?) as well.
There are a variety of busy sgs as well, some of whom have their own channels.
"Alliance X" is a private channel run by X-Funk from Nites of Darkness. The server has a love-hate relationship with him heh. @Xfunk
Love the Turtles is another sg with some good players, I think @Pie-ro is one of the leaders.
Hope that helps. -
Quote:Ahahahahahahahaha.I will forever remember REI raging at about anything and everything.
"Do you know I am een Germanee now, I make men's souls implode, I swear theeer is one guy at work I will keel."
"I am not playing an eemp."
"Do you know ees 4 a.m. over here, tell people to be on time for thees league thing."
"You know, you guys are too nice. I like you but you are too nice. I am rageeing rite nao because of this. Pls trade me."
"*sings really cool Russian folk song, we all love her doubleplusgood because of it.*"
"If we run "X" I swear I weel ragequit. *ragequits on forums, comes back for next D6 match.* "
"Vy vood I rage on barrier? I own nookes he eez terroreest."
I miss Rei -
It's a big t-shirt button (like those ones you see on coats and backpacks)

Edit: Not sure that one has a pin but it'll basically blink and stuff. -
Quote:Adding to this...Things I'll remember:
Slax ragequitting about a dozen times...several because he/we hadn't actually read over the rules.
Rei begging for a trade over being picked by Peril to go to EP...then Slax trading for her and then us taking an overall loss (I think) to EP the first time we played them.
.
My quitting the first league match at the 5 minute mark, tied 1-1 with CIGAL because I got cat aggro and accidentally hit "Exit". I wish the "Score" button had been there...
Computear (Starflight Labs, I think) fightclubbing another Brute on Steel Canyon.
The two Stalker line-up working SO WELL in practice but never getting off the ground in a match.
dUmb trying to turtle on the Atlas globe against U2BG and I for some reason jumping short of the globe twice, getting killed then throwing the whole team for a loop. *facepalm x 1000000000000000000*
Rei ragequitting like at least a dozen times: over line-ups, having to emp, hating other teams, hating the schedule, dUmb NOT having enough drama and being too nice (true story) and not being able to really rage on us, along with her awesome singing Russian songs.
Doyler doing a capella JoBros. - Love Bug with segue into Justin Bieber - One Time, proved to be a rallying cry for the whole team. Not really though.
Slax's voice impersonations on vent...the Sean Connery-Vader crossover was awesome.
Vinnie taunting doyler ('verbally') while doyler tried to taunt Trapmind.
Slax's pets falling into one of the Eden crevices. -
Quote:This, I'm hoping we get a 3 v 3 or4 v 4 ladder going at some point, instead of the FFAs. Granted it takes a different skillset to get there but it's still very fun.Not that it really has anything to do with the Cup. But we held several Kickballs last night, with a pretty strong turnout. We had a couple 5v5's and even enough for a 7v8. Just saying I think that we're moving in the right direction to really getting a bit more interest in pvp on Pinn again. Heres hoping that Season 2 brings even more less expieranced PvP'rs into wanting to try it out and see how enjoyable it really is. Especially when you get to smack Funk around a bunch.
Also, I can't stress enough to get enough KB protect if you're on a squishy, or you'll literally be in a KB animation for most of the match. -
Special MVP goes to -Divine for getting foisted with a team from the Eagle Leader and actually making something of it. He did the best with the hand he was dealt.
MvP Emp: Klesk comes to mind as someone steady and very reliable, I'll go with that.
MvP Blaster: Lib cos he didn't play tonight. Seriously, going to have to go with Dex for doing a great job with spikes, locks and finishing.
MvP Disruption: Vinnie can always force a Phase or some early Respite eating so kudos there. Outside of that, Kat's team brought multiple Tauntbots so that qualifies I guess.
Favorite moments:
-When we got our first win with the Storms, was very nice.
-The whole DQ saga added a lot of forum drama, so that's noteworthy.
-Seeing D6ers get better was great.
-Tonight's match vs. POWT was awesome, came so close that both teams could have swung it.
-O-portal drama
-Tauntbot limitation talks
-The extra draft, which got bogged down about extra picks
-barrier (I think) Wormholing our group in Skyway was pretty epic
-barrier vs. divine on the boards -
Bugged powers:
Stalker TS
Defender TK
Corruptor LR
Should be discussed internally and reviewed.
I'd also much prefer a 3 v 3 or 4 v 4 but I can live with free for all format. -
Happy birthday, now get out there and arrest some Hellions!
-
Those ideas would be pretty cool, especially the Repel one as it would throw people for a loop. Totally in favour of strats/tweaks like this and much, much less agreeable to just "big sack of hit points and call it a day."

No thanks on buffing any AVs anywhere.
While I generally just breeze though this content, I have been on teams where people have had less than optimal builds and take an extended period beating down on Honoree. The team didn't have enough debuffs, an overly large amount of smash/lethal, etc etc.
For example, the other day I was on a PuG with an Ill/Emp whose only powers from Empathy were Heal Other, Healing Aura, Resurrect and Absorb Pain...at level 24. I gently suggested she take Fortitude, Clear Mind, the Auras or at the very least Fortitude and Clear Mind, with clear explanations of why these are great buffs.
You can't account for players with wacky builds or new players, but LGTF is meant to be one of those "player friendly" TFs. There are already a few spots in there that can disassemble PuGs, the Hamidon encounter being one of them and Honoree being another. While there have been "Kontent Kops" in other threads that have suggested lengthening the LGTF through making the Omega Teamers undefetable or the last mission have a set number of mobs to defeat, not sure that's a great idea either.
On a well-oiled team LGTF is 20 minutes. On a PuG it can be much lengthier, somewhere between an hour to an hour and a half...without accounting for build quirks. -
I search for farms generally.
If I am looking for a story I skip over Dev's Choice arcs for the most part (several of them have unlisted EBs, etc and are longish in length) and search unplayed ones. I also use the old coding system (SFMA, LBMA, etc) to help my searches.
Occasionally I'll hear of a great arc through word of mouth and go from there. -
I might have one and need a Theft proc. Lemme check real quick.
Nope, just have the Dam/End in that range, sorry. -
Nice modest stash of stuff.
I hoard like crazy. The only people I share with are my pvp group and immediate friends and sg members. Purples I obtain never hit the markets unless I have doubles or triples of the items.
Of course, my OCD of wanting all purples crafted and placed alphabetically in a bin (by IO name, thus Apocalypse then all Apocs alphad, for example) doesn't help things.
Basically, the worm has turned on this. With email, even if they disallowed storing items we'll just send them to each other and hold them in email or on dummy characters.
I'd be more than glad to supply my share of purples etc to the Markets if they were easily recouped...but as is with a somewhat high drop rate, the inf isn't worth the effort.

Ran it on my friend's and and he was a MA/Nin Stalker. We popped some yellows and lucks with not much of an issue.
Mine is a Fire/Energy Dominator so I tagged Domination and carried some Break Free and Respite inspirations. -
Quote:I'd also like to see this. Any objections from any parties involved?I'd like to see our team take on the three with the most kills in a 3v3. Team funk vs mach, ADD, and pun. but whatever, i'll be there.
Quote:Hopefully they fix the observer drones before next week if you plan to record it. Otherwise it will be quite the boring video if people decide to fight up on this hills, while your stuck in the graveyard.
Fix Observer Bots NAO!!!
It's brutal how immobile the observer bots are. -

Let's not arbitrarily make changes to TF completion methods because Kontent Kops want to smell the roses at every turn. The game is already fairly easy for the most part in missions and TFs. Slowing it down even more isn't a great solution.
Concerning the Mending changes, setting them so that their regen tends downward when held as per their pre-I17 iteration would be swell. Requiring a team full of "Holders" is an inelegant solution, at best.
Edit, thanks Castle for that fix. -
My namesake, a Mind/FF on Champion.
Of course, a BIG +1 to Samuel_Tow. If it takes me weeks to months to switch sides, I'll ignore it and roll a new alt. If it takes me tons of raiding/pveing/grinding to become an Incarnate, I'll...have trouble here because of PvP aspects but I'm likely to find the new loot and trade/buy it.
The game as is has it so you can get fairly decent loot (Hamis are still ok) in a half hour to an hour. I'm not expecting Incarnate level stuff to be that easy to get, but...the longer I have to wait the quicker I'll get bored with the process and just do other stuff.
It's bad enough I still have to do patron arcs to get my epic powers redside...here's hoping the new stuff is at least streamlined and enjoyable. -
Quote:Freedom is 24-7.o.O almost sorry I asked. So is PvP on Freedom only during primetime or is there also some latenight action
You want zone activity, you got it.
You want random Arena scraps, you got it.
You want Fight Club at the train in RV, well...if the Virtuous Vanguard isn't around, you got it.
Usually tons of people in Pocket D for matches and kickball too. -
Unless you're going to be an avid soloer, then YES.
Take Speed Boost, tag your teammates with it and repeat when it expires. -
Quote:Top 5 kills face off on a random map and a single player gets that purse.Well we have 1 match left in the graveyard, what's the random map all about?
Team Funk has already locked up the Pinnacle Cup; even if we were to place last in kills we're clear of the next two teams (they could only get 64 points to our 66) so next week is just to pad our kill stats.
The Chase (on a random map) is the top 5 kills (So you, Kiwi, Machina, ADD Kicked in and Pun Fry so far...) in a FFA. Whoever wins that gets THAT purse. It's an individual thing over a team thing. Now, 3 Stalkers means 3x Sharkies and 3x AS...it's gonna get real ugly for whoever gets injured first.
Basically it comes down to this:
Is it worth you or Kiwi's (Or ADD, or Pun Fry or Machina) time to show up for 30 minutes to fight for 50 mil inf and bragging rights.
