It would be lovely if there was at least a passing reference to Alan's son Jet in the movie.

Yeah but as TRON 2.0 didn't exactly set sales records, I'm not expecting it. Too bad to, a very excellent, fun game that was sadly underrated.

    Sounds familiar.

Maybe we will get a teenaged pseudo-clone, a dude in a Spider-armor suit, a cyborg Spider-man and one that wears polarized goggles and kills criminals.........

    REIGN OF THE SPIDER-MEN!

When it comes to killing off characters credibly, hack-auteur Joss Whedon understands that the audience doesn't care if redshirts die (because they're never coming back) and doesn't believe the deaths of the protagonists (because they have to come back or else there's no continuing story), so the logical targets are the secondary characters in whom the audience has some emotional investments. That's why the deaths of Uncle Ben and Gwen Stacy worked, and that's why this "event" issue is fundamentally meaningless.

(Whedon also understands that it's impossible to make the death of a superhero stick - e.g. resurrecting/bringing back Colossus in his X-Men run - but putting them in impossible situations is more effective - e.g. consigning Kitty Pride on a one-way rocket to outer space in the same series.)

It's actually possible that they may pull a hat trick on us and have it where Spider-Man FAKES his death so that he can disappear for awhile. Perhaps Mayor Jameson's Spider-Hunters finally corner him and he defeats them but in the process manages to fake his death on purpose or by accident and decides he just needs to go to ground for awhile.

Ben was rather definitively killed off and if the continuity reset of OMD/BND didn't restore him by now then he isn't coming back.

Now if they find another clone and it was somehow programmed with Ben's memories then we have Ben 2.0 which would have to do.

As I recall Mephisto didn't want his soul or MJ's soul, just their love/marriage. So presuming that is still the case, then he shouldn't.

I have a feeling the new movie will at least explain what happened to Tron and Yori but I don't really have a problem with them not playing big roles in new movie.
In the TRON 2.0 game for PC/X-box, TRON was referenced a few times by other programs as a legendary hero but his whereabouts where unknown. The TRON Legacy code in that game was supposed to be a new version of TRON but wasn't perfected.

Basically in that game, your character was the son of Alan digitized into the system and you were essentially Tron 2.0 at that point.

For this movie, I suspect TRON may show up to lend a hand near the end thus repaying Flynn for his aid with the MCP.

There was the initial teaser that had the light cycle chase and the loser stating "You won, its only a game" and then we see Flynn's face appear inside the helmet and says "not any more" and goes for the kill shot.

CBR News has obtained the cover for Marvel Comics' section of the February, 2011 "Previews," featuring an image boldly declaring "The Death of Spider-Man." No further information has been made available at this time as Marvel offered a firm "No comment" on the cover, but stay tuned to CBR for more information on the story as it becomes available.

Indiana Jones and the Claw of Shangri La

As Indy tries to educate young Mutt, he becomes frustrated with his son's chosen field of study, Cryptozoology. It isn't a legitimate science and artifacts of that nature don't belong in a museum!

However, after a hair raising sled dog chase in the Canadian Mountains, Mutt and Indy are confronted with bigfoot tracks. Indy disregards them as a hoax until Mutt shows him identical tracks found by a lost Mount Everest Expedition. If its a hoax, how can the same footprint be found on the other side of the world? Also, there is a Tibetan Monastery said to house a claw and a scalp of the famous Abominable snowman!

Just as Indy is about to make a final objection, Indy is approached by the United Nations Heritage Council in order to in-list him in the help of evacuating a Tibetan monastery and its artifacts before the Communist Chinese arrive. To both prove Mutt wrong, and to help a Canadian Mounty find a lost brother, Indy, Mutt and a naive young Mounty travel to the tallest mountains in the world only to discover that the Chinese Communist Revolution might already have solved the mystery of the Claw of Shangra la.

    Communists, I hate these guys.

Of course there would be set pieces, like the big dog sled chase, a heigh altitude mountain climbing fight, and Shangra La would be protected by a clan of Abominable Snowmen.

Big effects would ensue at the end leading to Indy admitting that Mutt just might be right about these Cryptozoology stories, and it would end with Indy giving Mutt the hat as the next leader of the next franchise, as he chases down Cryptozoology leads, via 1950's 60's b-movies, like the Blob, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, and Them.
Not bad. I've been thinking Indy and Mutt dealing with either Atlantis or else King Solomon's mines.

Probably because of some of the four letter words and other adjectives the site uses to describe Liefeld's lack of talent, rather then the horrific art.

Also, Rob Liefeld... well, he must have been good at something. I don't know what, but whatever it was, it wasn't drawing or writing. Maybe knitting. Cards? Tiddlywinks?
The irony is that as I recall, Deadpool is Liefeld's creation, but the character didn't gain popularity/notoriety until after others started working on him.

At least that was when Deadpool actually had feet, something that Liefeld just couldn't seem to draw at all, which probably led to the overcompensation via pouch drawing.
  13. Well I closed out of the game and it looks like the i19 predownload has begun.

worse was seeing them blow Bruce's Return with no explanation, and of course, the last part of the Return of BW isn't out yet. so yeah, good going there guys. criminey.
Yes waiting for ish 6 of Return of Bruce Wayne would have been a good idea.

I am surprised OMD is not in there.
A better comparison to Doomsday would be the Incredible Hulk. DC created Doomsday to be able to kill Superman, his origins would be explored after Superman's return.

As I recall, Doomsday is an ancient Kryptonian experiment to create the ultimate survivor/killing machine, but of course it couldn't be controlled.

However an old DC tradition: to truly hurt or kill Superman you need something from Krypton. Either Kryptonite, or a super power Kryptonian Hulk known as Doomsday.

It was a shock that they did kill him, but no surprise that he was coming back. There was no way any of the four "Supermen" were going to take his place.

Bruce is going to travel the world, acting as Batman on an international level. I think he's going to seek out up-and-coming, or even established crime-fighters in cities around the world and bring them into the Batman fold, offering help with training, equipment, support, and finance. I can see him taking Tim along for this, since Tim is already a well-established world traveller as well.

Good idea? Bad idea? That remains to be seen. I'm just glad to see Bruce is expanding his horizons a little, looking beyond Gotham. Hopefully this move will give Bruce some much needed international legitimacy as well, and help shed the "idiot playboy" identity. I still think there would be nothing cooler than to see: Bruce Wayne, Head of Checkmate (or whatever large-scale international peace-keeping force there happens to be at the time)
Or at least drop the idiot playboy image and have him introduce himself the way Bond would, "the name is Wayne...Bruce Wayne."
  22. I really can't see this idea lasting long, especially with this hatchet job on the artwork.

So, is Bruce going to train a corps of Batmen while Dick stays on as Batman in Gotham?

Or is he going to use teleportation technology to go around the world where he feels he's needed?

Now Bruce's revelation that he has been funding Batman for years I don't mind. It helps deflect speculation that he is Batman somewhat but it may open a few unwanted doors in terms of liability for Batman's actions.

To use a quote from an episode of Batman TAS: "If the Batman is on a spree, Wayne must pay the fee!"

The same comic book magic that for years kept many from figuring Clark is Superman, that Peter is Spider-man (until the unmasking followed by the Joephisto mindwipe), or that for years no one could figure that Tony was Iron Man except Bethany and Rhodey, that no one could figure out that Don Blake turns into THOR, Billy Batson into Captain Marvel, or that people can't seem to recognize that Hal is GL...... etc.

Both my last issue and now this one seem to be very dialogue heavy. I feel that was the main problem in my issue 1 comic. Which i am going to redo later after I am done with this storyline called Obey.

But I was going over last issue and this one and its very hard to get rid of any dialogue. It all fits and is needed for both character and plot development. But it makes the comic less fun in some ways to me since its a heavier read...

Any thoughts on this topic? Should I sacrifice character development or what? Its rather frustrating...

I appreciate any feedback on this. Thank you.

Character development is good, too much dialogue would be when you reach DBZ levels of disproportionate dialogue vs. action.
