I20 has been out for 2 days, and I've unlocked my Interface, Judgement and Destiny slots. I've slotted them with commons. I get between 5-15 threads per run and I can make about 6 runs per day. How is this slow?

Studying for an exam should refresh and bring that knowledge to the front of your mind in preparation for the test, it shouldn't replace the class. You don't decide to take a physics final having never gone to class or opened the textbook until the night before. It is also not a requirement of any class I've ever taken that in order to be successful at an exam, you have no choice but to use someone else's notes.

Furthermore, exams are designed to test your knowledge and ability to apply the subject matter, not introduce new subjects. The ability to solve the questions comes from both your knowledge of the subject, and your ability to interpret what is being asked.

If you were going to make the terrible analogy that boss encounters are exams, then the game itself is the class. The developers would be the instructors, and the in game help screens would be the textbook. My ability to be successful at an encounter would depend on my ability to play the game and how well I interpret the various ques provided by the boss.

By your logic, having a boss that just stands there and is immune to everything but attacks slotted with a single level 17 accuracy TO, and who can one shot anyone that didn't 6 slot brawl, with absolutely no in game indicators to tell people these two conditions are in effect is a well designed encounter. As long as at some point someone writes an out of game guide about it, it's fine, right?

Edit: Actually, your analogy is even worse than what I outlined. Using your analogy, the best way to take a test is wait until someone else has already taken it and then just use the cheat sheet they made with all the answers on it.
Man, you're digging way too deep in all of this.

Let me make this simple for you.

Just because some people prefer to read up on content does not automatically make reading up on content bad, nor does it make the game bad. The stuff you need to do is presented to you in game. It is. Read it some time.

Some players may prefer to read more detailed guides written by people other than the devs. If you think THAT makes for poor players and a poor game, you have a problem no one can help you with.
  5. They can be colored. Be sure to change a costume piece with them, or they will revert to default. This is a bug. When you're done just change the costume piece back.

Change a costume piece with them. It's a bug. When you do it just go back and change the costume piece back.

Also, which Judgement are you using? I know that IDF, Warworks, and Seers are very resistant to Energy Damage, so Ionic is a little flimsy. My Void usually hits for 100% of it's damage, and I've seen Pyronic wreck some serious **** in BAF.

They do. I'm using Diamagnetic (great with Dark/Dark, by the way; things miss constantly) and when the proc itself fires, the enemies hit by it are surrounded by this half-gold half-vomit yellow "warp" animation. It's a swirling vortex looking graphic that has yellow lines moving into it. I'll post a screenie if I can.
  8. I have to dual boot. There's no option for me now. I20 has drastically increased the amount of times I crash per hour. I've even installed on a newly-formatted drive with a newly-created admin account. I crash about 6 times an hour (every 10 minutes).

I have no choice but to dual boot my machine and run the game in Windows until the devs actually find a way to fix the mac client. As it stands, the mac client, for me, is now useless.

I'm sad I have to abandon my favorite OS to play my favorite game. I'm also disappointed that the client has been like this since Issue 15, and apparently won't change anytime soon according to Zwillinger's first post in our forums.

Your example is flawed in that a game is not an exam. An exam is a test of your knowledge. A game is a relaxing past time. All the information you need should be displayed on screen.
We'll have to agree to disagree. I like to know what I'm getting into, you prefer to be instructed in the field.

*shrug* If that's your cup of tea.

Let me reword it: If you've never done Hami, and barring asking other players for help, are you going to know what the hell's going on when you run in?

You've never played console games, have you? You should try playing Resident Evil 5 or Devil May Cry 3/4. It takes numerous tries to take down bosses before you figure out the strategy. And by numerous I mean "god dammit Wesker why won't you die" and throwing your XBOX360 out the window in a fit of rage. I watched it happen to my old roomie.

Smart gamers will read up on their encounters.

Seriously, your logic is the flawed logic.

"If you have to read up on content to win it's a badly designed game."

Let's change that a little to reflect the nonsensical aspects of the statement.

"If you have to study for a test, it's a badly designed class."

But... if I say I enjoyed something, I'm saying that because I enjoyed it. I'm in no way trying to label anyone as anything. It is what it is; I played the trials and I enjoyed them.

If it's such a problem to say that, why are so many people saying it?

You're implying that the minority of people going "this issue is terrible" (and yes, those people are a minority whether you like it or not) are more correct than the majority, who are people who just walked out of a trial and said "I loved it!"

I didn't get that he does not understand the larger scale aspects of the comix.
I'm trying to tie in using Leagues for the new content and the difficulty of said content with the Dark Reign/Siege saga. We have to take down Tyrant, and to do that we have to smash up his Praetors. Eight people just isn't enough.

The heroes of Marvel had to take down Norman Osborn, and to do that they had to usurp him and those who follow him. Sending a few signature heroes wasn't enough.

My point: Regular 8 man teams usually won't be enough for this new content.
  14. MOO, please read the last few issues of both the Dark Reign and Siege arcs by Marvel Comics.

8 heroes weren't enough to stop Osborn. I myself love the new teaming system and I look forward to more League-intended content.

You can take 5 minutes to read how the encounter works, or you can't. Things will feel smoother if you know what's going to happen. If you're not willing to assess your enemy you're not entirely entitled to complain when you can't defeat them. Imagine if the playerbase took your idea and ran with it with Hami, barring them knowing already; no one would have beaten him. They wouldn't know what the green mitos did, they wouldn't know only Ranged can tackle yellow, etc. etc.

You can use Judgement, Lore, Destiny, and Interface in regular non-Incarnate content. The tier 3's for Lore and Destiny won't level shift you but you still have their incredible powers at your fingertips.

I did. That's what's awesome. The uncommons for these four new slots are, IMO, worth more than the Rare's in the Alpha tree.

15 seconds remaining in the event. Nighstar and Siege at 3%.

Nightstar goes down. 10 seconds, both on the timer and before she's resurrected.

    5 seconds. Siege at 1%.

2 seconds. Siege falls. Mission complete.

Entire team throws up numerous capslock sentences, tanker self destructs.

Crashes are feeling more frequent after I20. I can barely get through a Trial without crashing to the desktop. It's either a full on client crash or an Assertion Failure (omfg am I sick of those two words).
