I like Clouded Senses or Perfect Zinger procs personally.

This way the two attacks that show up the most often in the chain have the purple procs, as well as a secondary proc.

It's how I got my pylon time to 5:46s, although it's not endurance sustainable, and I cheated using recovery serums/blues.

I generally don't need it to be sustainable, as the build is team focused and I usually don't run into End issues outside of hasten rage crashes (cardiac has done wonders)

    That's ok, happens sometimes.

    No harm, no foul.
Glad we're not bad blood now; I remember having a spat with Obitus over this same issue, and I saw Otiosus and... well, cue mental flatulence.

Blackberry is still a big company and is throwing a ton of money into new platforms. Nokia too. Not to mention, if your app is really cool people will want it for Windows and Mac too! I know I'd much rather run a build planner on my PC browser than my phone's tiny screen.

My suggestion: do a web app. Use PhoneGap to be able to crank out native apps that can go through various app stores. Use a framework like jQuery Mobile to create interfaces that look native across different devices.

You don't have to worry about stuff like shipping an updated UI or database with a web app because everyone always gets the latest. If someone switches devices, they don't have to worry about transferring their data. Linking to datachunks is easy. Hosting is cheap. Heck, one generous donation of $100 would take care of hosting for a year.

Plus, a web app makes possible interesting possibilities of user generated content. People could mark their builds as public, allowing others to browse annotated builds for comparison/inspiration. You could offer statistical functions like "what percentage of builds pick this power" or "show me public builds that have more of set bonuses X and Y than my build does".

This may be a nonstarter 'cause it sounds like you're a dedicated Apple developer, but from the standpoint of maximum user adoption and futureproofing, a web app is the better way to go.
Kind of craps on us iPhone/iPad users, too. :/

DM/Invuln can be built to solo AVs, it requires very effective slotting and build planning.

I'll continue to feel free to post this idea whenever it pleases me, especially in threads that are so full of misinformation and confusion as to be laughable.

  7. I just rolled up an Ice/Ice dominator, planning on going Ice Mastery. Any tips?

    From what I've heard:

Arctic Air, Ice Slick, Power Boost, Shiver.

    From what I've speculated:

Arctic Air + Shiver + Chilling Embrace= Recharge Slow Cap on any enemy save for an AV.

Just looking for some advice, I'll post a build later.

The speech actually helps and hinders the argument.

Recluse himself says what equates to "No longer will you be told what to do, you can take what you wish, when you wish. The heroes are doomed!"

And then he goes on to proclaim he will rule the world with an iron fist and that he'll cover the world in darkness, but he still possesses the ability of a great orator, in that he can make the people believe he intends to give them what they want in the form of their own free will and choice of morality.

What does that yell look like, anyway?

People who want it to hurt. I actually received a first-hand demonstration of this in a theatre 3 class I took way back in the day; if you slap someone with your palm and palm only, you'll get a lot of concussion but not a lot of welting or stinging. Your cheek takes the brunt of it. If you slap someone with just your fingertips you get a lot of stinging and a very hefty red mark. If you slap someone and use the bend of your knuckles as the 'center' of the slap, then you get the proper amount of whack and sting, if you will.

That's why, in plays, slaps are done exclusively with the palm as to prevent a temporary red mark.

Mebbe I will just quick grind the build up to 50 and see what it can do.
Using Slag Golems as a baseline for any build is madness, good sir. Try Council. :P Golems have a ton of -Defense, and they're pretty hardy. They suck to fight.

So, Energy/Will would prob rock against AVs?
Honestly, for solid AV smashing, Energy is kind of a pig. It used to be the king of ST until the ET change. I'd recommend Kin/Invul, SS/SR, Dark/Will, and WM/Invul. I also had my own Energy/Will brute... he was not fun. He was slow and died often, and had a single and rather crappy AoE.
  17. Broadsword/Nin is a nicer combo, FWIW.

I have solo'd these EB level AVs and Heroes on many different type brutes, including SS/Invul. (Although i was really having End management problems.)

If you mean truly soloing an AV I do not think it can be done, not on a Brute. My current main is a Dark/Invul. Pimped out with 5 purple sets, 2 PvP sets, and various Procs and Globals. with this build I can tank almost any AVs. that is it, just tank. I tanked Reichsman the other night for 10 min while waiting for the team to make it back from the hospital after a wipe. I tanked Positron and Back Alley Brawler solo while the team killed another AV. I used serious inspirations for this, and thankfully it was just under 3 minutes. I do not use Unstoppable, but I was just about out of inspirations lol.

The damage per second necessary to carry the fight against an AV just is not there. Even if you built a Brute for DPS at the expense of all else, and assumed you could survive the encounter, I doubt the DPS is there to take down a full strength AV. Has anybody actually solo'd one on a Brute?
As other have said, Blue, your build isn't well suited for pumping out the damage needed to stomp an AV. I'm positive it'll do a crapton of other things with smash-blasting power, but for an AV fight I can tell you why you're having problems.

I've solo'd AV's before on three Brutes, with great trouble on my Fire/Fire since he's less of a tank and more of a hand grenade. My Dark/Dark has done it, my SS/Elec has done it, and my Elec/Invul has done it.

Your posts in the Stalker forum do a grand job of disproving everything you just posted.

    EDIT: And the Brute forum.
  23. I'll gladly offer my Ill/Kin/Primal controller. I fulcrum shift, I speed boost, I increase density, and I rock! I'll make your team so powerful the enemies might as well just bend over and yell "make it fast, you hero jerks!"

Also, what timezone 11PM? PST, EST, CST, LFG, GTG, BRB, OMG, PVP?
  24. I've been running toward Musculature, myself. As an Ill/Kin I know I already run around at the Damage Cap, but with ED capped Recharge and Accuracy (as well as minimal endurance issues) the only way for me to go is to pump out even more damage. Plus, later pieces of Musculature will affect my holds. The only reason I'd consider Nerve would be for the added hold/confuse.

By the way, Local Man; I picked up Confuse. Fantastic addition to my arsenal thanks to Inherent Fitness.
