Great idea!
Top of the buildings may or may not work, I know I always groan at the thought of going on rooftops. (but then again, I still don't have fly yet, only hover)
And ... I am going to sound like a newb but ... where are the magic shops?!? -
My personal opinion: Do what allows you to enjoy the game. Don't do things to impress others because there are always nay-sayers to any idea someone may come up with. And play with those that enjoy the game the same way you do.
I've seen so many versions of the Hulk since I started playing the game, but you know what? If they roleplay and are in character they are all good in my book. Some have really silly names that crack me up too. -
There's really no sweat to roleplay, you just have to have the desire.
Most common roleplay ettiquette in whatever game you play:
1) In public channels, say what your character would say. That's being in character.
2) Most roleplayers value punctuations and capitalizations. Dialogues without abbreviations like k, thx, plz, u, and such. As in, they type out the dialogue as you would read them in a book.
3) React as your character would, not as you the player would.
4) Keep what is in character separate from what is out of character.
... that's all I can think of at the moment. Oh yeah, most importantly, have fun! -
D'OH. I shoulda read the boards back further before posting my own roll call for Liberty.
And ... considering I am the first to reply, I sure hope there are more RPers on Liberty than just us.
But look for me (Mystical or Firebird) and my friends (Orangutank, Eighty-Eight, and SilkSteel). We'd love to meet more roleplayers. -
.... And I hope mine will not be the only post.
So far it's me Mystical, Orangutank, SilkSteel, and Eighty-eight. (they don't read these boards like I do)

While I read these boards before I got the game, and knew Virtue was supposed to be the unofficial RP server, when I began to run around Virtue with my young defender, I never saw RP other than my own.
Then my hubby ran into connectivity issues trying to join me on Virtue, so we up and moved our characters over to Liberty. We have two other friends there now and we are having a blast RPing with each other. A few strangers join in now and then.
This is my second MMORPG, I have found from my first (Camelot) that to not set yourself up for disappointment with strangers that don't respond or cooperate with your desire to RP is the best way to enjoy the game.
Sure I enjoy RP and will always do so in public chat, and I hope to run into others in Liberty who enjoy it as well. We also goof on team channel OOC. And when I run into an RPer in public chat you bet I am adding them onto my friend's list and will look for them next time as well. But I see plenty of OOC chat in broadcast that I don't really read it at all.
So no matter which server we are in, I think we RPers are the minorty, and likely have to stick with those we know to continue the immersion. But I think fun can be had anywhere.
I hope to find some RPers in Liberty soon! -
There are a few of us on Liberty that roleplays as well, although it is not predominant through the server. We had connection issues with Virtue as well.
