Apparently they have mag 30 stun protection vs 50 for hold protection, and 50% stun resistance.
Since Horus mentioned the idea to me, I've tried to revisit some old guides to see if there was any mention of using other mez powers. They all pretty much say "must be held to deactivate resistance and regen".
But like you say, this might be a product of what is most available to spam rather than what actually could work. Stuns should also deactivate running toggle powers, so you'd think they would be viable. -

I did have a small chat Amy and my idea on this. I considered using stuns instead of holds on the green mitos which should still drop his shield. My idea was to use 3-4 Dark/Energy tanks to lay down rapid stuns on the greens. Between the stun aura from dark and the stuns from energy and the much lower stun protection the greens have I believe it'd be easier way to go...you just have to find 3-4 Dark/Energy tanks... just tossing out an idea.

We dropped form the SG and joined AoV for the day. I remember it was so awesome because lots of other random and well-known villains had done the same, so for a while AoV was like the "who's who" of Champion villainy. We did our part but sadly the other teams didn't fare quite as well so the trial had to be abandoned.
The next day it was closed and only a couple of SGs had managed to grab an IoP.
I really hope they find a way to bring the models for the IoP items back into the game, in some form or another. Those objects looked great, or at least I remember them as looking great...
We fumbled through that Trial and got one with about 10 minutes to spare on our first try. I forget what the IoP actually did, maybe a 2% damage buff or some such. -
