Thanks alot Sparky. How did you get these? I tried a search for zloth, but I only found demo making stuff. Is there some kind of model viewer out there?
[/ QUOTE ]
It's really easy to create a simple demo that shows any of the npc models in the game, as long as you know the name of the model.
For example, the name of Statesman's model is Model_Statesman. All you do is call the model, put the camera facing it, and voila! Instant character viewer..

About the kiln...
Have you considered checking at a local ceramic shop for use of theirs?
Looking forward to seeing what you produce.
<resists urge to post screenies just to get in before TA>
Can't blame me for trying..

Thanks Celsia! That looks cool... Even got the detail on the arm tatoos. Good action... Really nice! Thank you! -
OK.. at 8:11 a.m. you say you'll whip out a quick sketch...
At 11:10 a.m. - less than 3 hours later - you came up with that? A 'quick' SKETCH?!?!?
Dude. You are a true Yoda among us...
I would love to see more of your 'quick' sketches...
(Maybe if someone stole his sketchbook... hmmm...)
And can't wait to see what you do with this Rowr! -
Hope to get BETTER?!?!
O_O
Looks awesome already. -
WOW! That looks great!
This makes me wish that they had curly hair in the game.. it would look a lot like her.
Thank you! -

OK. I have now read the post. This is great. I hope to make it on the list. Why do I continue going out to do RL things when I could be waiting here for great posts like this?

Because you lack faith...
I find your lack of faith.. disturbing...

Oh, wait - that's a good thing... -
Hey TA, is xs.to blocked also? It's where I have my images stored...
-
Umm.. let me think...
(.00002 pico-seconds later)
Yes!
Shinin No Maki - Katana Stalker (I think I've misrepresented him as an MA... D'oh!)
Shadefyre - D/D Defender (Wife's toon, she wanted curly hair, but there isn't an option for it! )
Nyght-fyre - DM/Reg Scrapper (runs with Shadefyre mostly.)
-
Looks nice... Foreshortening is not that easy, but you did a good job there on his arm.. Nice detail, too.. especially for a sketch.
-
OK... Let me pile on here..
Shinin No Maki - MA Stalker
Warm Hands - Emp Defender
Nyght-fyre - DM/Reg Scrapper
Shadefyre - D/D Defender, runs mainly with Nyght
Rhett Bhastard - St/SS Tank
Let me know if you need better pics.
Appreciate anything you come up with. -
OK, Squirrel, I guess I'kll throw my hat into the fray as well..
This is Nyght-Fyre . He's a DM/Reg scrapper.. Kinda Nightcrawler-ish.. Except for the horns.
Have at it! -

Yes. It's coming. Safeguard missions. Being worked on right now (outside my office, in fact).
[/ QUOTE ]
What? Someone is tasked with safeguarding States' office?
IS THERE MAYHEM IN THE CRYPTIC OFFICES?!?!
That would be a cool mission... -
I think it was MisterMarbles tutorial that showed some extra options to use when executing a demo. One of them is
-disable2d
This will remove player names, floating damage, etc. My execute statement looks like this
"c:\program files\city of heroes\cityofheroes" -disable2d -demoplay dancing_trio1 -
OK... Basically Northern California is generally thought of as roughly Stockton northward. (Stockton is about 45 miles south of Sacramento.)
Central California would be south of Stockton to the Grapevine. (Grapevine is a small town on I-5 just north of the mountain range that is the northern border of LA County.)
Southern California is all south of that.
The Bay Area - areas west of the Coastal Range and as far north as Petaluma and as far south as Santa Cruz - is, well.... a whole 'nother realm of consciousness. -
Frankly I'm not worried about them announcing another retail box expansion. They have said that they will continue to provide new content with the free issues.
Put this in perspective... Heroes was brought live two years ago. How many issues have we had since then? Six solid issues - good, bad, or otherwise - of free content. Now, how long do you think they were working on Villains? Even though most of the development was already in place from the Heroes side, it still took a while to get all the artwork, powers, zones, sories, etc, together before CoV was released - I wouldn't be surprised if they started right after Heroes went live. That means 18 months of development - during which time we were still getting our free updates.
Now, I'm a little disappointed that we won't get a few more issues in before the next retail box, but I'm not about to look a gift horse in the mouth. Free updates is a new concept to the MMO genre. I'm thankful for all the new stuff thrown our way.
If you have that much of a problem with retail box updates, then don't buy them. You'll still be able to play your Hero/Villain. It may sound harsh, and I don't mean for it to sound that way. But let's set aside wants/desires/expectations/whatever, and look at what's relevant here.
Free issue updates can only do so much. The amount of work that went into CoV dictated the need to make it a retail box, because of the advanced coding - compared to CoH - that went into it. The advances they made in the development will eventually be applied to CoH... without having to buy CoV. (I'm thinking Newspaper missions, simultaneous mission completion, etc.) The same will be true, I'm sure, when it comes to the next retail box. Granted you won't get the content, but even someone with just the original >basic< CoH will still eventually reap the benefits from these retail boxes, without buying more.
Besides, with the generous administration by NCSoft of allowing the playing of any and all NCSoft games with one subscription cost, along with a free month for adding...err, well, upgradingwith each additional game, makes me wonder how much you expect for the price you are paying.
Well, I have rambled far too long here... All I have to say is TITANS ASSEMBLE!
Time to hit the virtual streets of Paragon! -

Surly some of these things could be fixed with a simple run through with a spell checker.
[/ QUOTE ]
You should see far fewer typo's in powers with I7. Thing's like "it's" for "its" on the other hand, are still likely to crop up and be low priority fixes.
[/ QUOTE ]
Man, Castle's Irony power is 6-slotted, pre-ED.
[/ QUOTE ]
It would've been funnier if he'd written "fix's" instead of "fixes" though
How about the indeterminate nature of the correct pronoun to use for Doc Buzzsaw or for Calystix? Is there a spellchecker for using "she" and "him" on the same NPC? Quite a few NPCs in CoV share this gender confusion...
[/ QUOTE ]
It's not gender confusion, it's gender ambiguity. -

Funny random story...
I got into a debate with someone in Mercy Island a couple weeks back; not even sure what it was about exactly (it was a point of minutea (sp?)) but... this third person suddenly says.
"shut up i hate nerds"
<,< You can imagine what that did... My response...
"You're playing a computer game about superheroes, and you're complaining about nerds?" >.>;
>.> In other words! Take pride in your dorkiness, your geekdom, your granted powers of nerd! <o.O>m
(Nice choice <,< thats what I meant to say!)

HA! Have you seen the replays of Triumph The Insult Dog on G4 recently? His Conan O'Brien "interview" with the Star Wars fans is part of it, and when he talks to the guy dressed like Darth Vader, it's priceless:
"M-m-my n-n-name is T-T-Triumph, oh scary nerd!"
Oh, and nice avatar--"Queen to Queen's level three" (exceptionally nerdy ST reference).
