Everything is better with a Scrapper

That wasn't my experience. I'm assuming you were using your Claws/SR, so my DM/SR has an advantage with Siphon Life. With a good bit of luck(and three medium green inspirations) I was able to take down the last 15%ish of Rommie's health while the other six scrappers were laying around and taking their time getting back from the hospital.

Though I don't expect to be able to do that consistently. That auto hit fluffy sucks.

    edit: Just saw this

You can, with careful maneuvering and a little luck, stand such that you are in range to melee Rommie but still outside of the autohit Nictus' Mire attack - especially now that melee range is 7ft. It's how I've fought Rommie without getting killed on my SR (those times I did get killed horribly, now...)
I bet that's is what happened to me. I never knew that piece of info. Maybe this TF is soloable after all...

With Defenders if you load the two cones with Procs then it becomes the best AoE set for defenders. Not sure if that translates to Scrappers at all, just throwing it out there.

Personally I'm so used to having such crappy options that I plan almost all of my Scrappers only taking one power from the epics.

Also a second question what powers in Sonic would be called skip able?
IMO not taking the shields is a huge mistake.

Stygian Circle redefines the word awesome. It's that good.

This times infinity! I can go back to playing MunkiLord more often. With that character I'm a bad teammate and I've done pretty much everything I care to do solo with him.

AVs are challenging and all, but kinda boring if I do it often. Now I can do something really hard and exciting and I don't have to piss off teammates.
  8. I don't think it's a need, more a minor QoL since two TFs are in Striga.

I agree. I've already started planning my costume for my upcoming Spines/Elec.
  10. Fulcrum Shift no goes by the proper modifiers.

Kinetics/Fulcrum Shift: This power will now correctly use Controller buff modifiers instead of Defender buff modifiers, resulting in a 20% damage buff per target and a 40% damage buff on self, instead of a 25% damage buff per target and a 50% damage buff on self.

That means we get to look at the new powers for Scrappers!

edit: Also, my first attempt at soloing +4 Carnies spawned for 8 with bosses was a massive failure. My DM/SR actually got held.

edit2: Just realized I stuck hasten on auto fire by mistake. Been playing my cold defender too much recently.
  12. What Striga really needs is a zone event to fight the giant Council Robot from the Hess TF.

Funny thing is JSHMOE was dong that as I was arguing with the guy. I went into his room to tell him about this thread and he was leading the boss farm without a tank. But I guess that doesn't count.

I forgot about the end drain protection. I take back my previous statement about avoiding Carnies.

Haha! You're taking your ball and going home because nobody is buying the stuff you made up. You lose at teh internets!!!!
  16. Fair enough. I have a ton of programs that bring it up, so it was a major PITA for me.

Once i16 hits I suggest giving the Battle Maiden farm a shot. Up your difficulty and go to town on the baddies. Unless you wanna AE farm, then pick something weak to lethal(though I would avoid Carnies for obvious reasons).
  18. If you're the only person using your computer, why not just turn off UAC?

Again, you're making stuff up. A tank isn't required. That is a fact. Plain and simple. Recruit the right buffs/debuffs and any character can handle a 54 boss farm.

While it may be true that you're totally-super-awesome-rad-epicced-out-scrapper has what it takes to run a level 54 boss farm with the finesse of an Olympic athlete, the simple fact is, you don't.
Never said mine could. My DM/SR can't do it. I don't have effective aggro control(SR should have a taunt aura), and there are too many big hits coming at me to survive too long.

That burden is laid upon the willing tank.
    Or any buffed character.

No need to call you those things. You are just simply a player ignorant of how this game works.

you'd be right, but I'm the guy that's standing between your new character and level 50.
No, you're just another random person easily forgotten and replaced with somebody else.

It's my experience that the average pug needs a tank to do AE boss farming, but that is primarily because a lot of people have really poor builds and no concept of teamwork. A good tank can help mitigate those flaws.

But if a patient and smart leader puts together the PuG then no single AT is needed.

Also, a well built Invul Scrapper can handle the aggro on a 54 boss farm fine. I'm sure other scrapper builds could do it too, but I've only seen my roommate's DB/Invul Scrapper do it(dual blades is great mitigation).

You're making stuff up. Grab some defenders and controllers and you can do anything in this game. Really with those two ATs you don't need scrappers or blasters either.

However, I should point out that I said I would either flat out leave a team or kick the bad player out. Not sit there doing nothing until I was kicked out, I have better things to do. Bit of a primadona attitude, yes, but there's really not much that people can do to combat that in a world where everyone wants to be the DPS.
Sure there is, they could just invite a different player. On a decent team the AT won't matter.
  24. I joined. But I won't be active until I fix my computer(hardware failure).
