And herein lies the problem, why should WE put up with it? Why do some people think that being online is a excuse to behave like morons and ruin other peoples playing time?

I am talking about BOTH SIDES here. I do not paricipate in any of the abuse unless I am directly attacked, and never by abuse or language on my part.

Why do some players feel the need to share every bit of drivel from their minds with everyone on Broadcast/Arena? Is it showing off or attention seeking?

Either way, I don't really care, all I want is to be left alone to play the game MY way and I will receprocate the curtesy.

Just to add my annoyance over the way arena chat has gone, I also have turned it off as the language and abuse was spoilng my game and I was sending petitions more than playing. As I do feel nothing is done about them (see the "other" thread) I wanted to save myself some grief.

I wont use ignore as I want to know if anything is turned on myself or my friends, but this has got to stop. I am totally impartial with my petitioning as I report all that are involved, not just one particular person, but enough is enough.

It is really starting to affect my game enjoyment as not being able to participate in PvP arena because of a group of morons is frustrating. I am missing a part of the game I want to develop now and that is not fair.

As I have said before if we just ignore the flaming and baiting that goes on, then no fire will be fueled.

I have given up petitioning abuse and bad language these days. It seems like my petitions go into a "dead letter" box and get ignored. I have petitioned a certain person at least 3 times for language and abusive behaviour and still he carries on.

I still stick by my live and let live principal and if he thinks its clever he has a whole thread about him on the forums then I actually feel sorry for him. I would personally feel quite ashamed if it was me.

The only thing I wonder is if he is the age he says he is, why aren't his parents monitoring his internet usage? There are weridos online (looks at DaSlasher )!

Anyway, I will continue laughing at his amazing comments and leave him be, maybe with no audience he may finally get the message.

Like me then? its a personal choice at low levels.

I treat people as I would like to be treated but some push you to your limits. Not naming any names but a certain person was broadcasting in Altas Park bragging how he power levelled to 50 playing scissors paper rock in Dreck and abusing low level players. This was compounded by another player of the same SG who ruined a Hami raid saying they were misunderstood and laughing about wasting my time and effort.

If you saw this behaviour in real life would you try and understand them? or just write them off as a waste of time and space? I know what I would do.

People all play this game differently and I have a live and let live attitude to things, but when it spoils my fun time and upsets people all round I'm afraid I'm short on sympathy.

As for the age issue, we have SG and coalition members who are teenage boys and they are nothing but polite, respectful and a pleasure to team with. It is not an excuse to be rude and nasty.
