After the first couple dozen kicks there probably wouldn't be enough left to kick and you'd have already passed out.

Quote:When you achieve one of the badges involved with the trial you'll also receive a random piece of uncommon salvage (which includes the gluon compound.) If you meet the conditions for receiving a badge that you already have you will get an astral merit but not the random salvage. Using BAF as an example, the following badges will get you an uncommon salvage:Somewhat--if there is a reason for the extra astral, great. What about the extra drop of salvage in addition to the one I choose? And sometimes on BAF I get it after one of the phases, but not at the end (well at the end, but in addition). For some reason when I get this drop on BAF, it is usually Gluon Compound, but not sure why about that either.
Behavior Adjuster - Complete the Behavioral Adjustment Facility Trial
Not On My Watch - Allow no Mindwashed Prisoners to escape during a Behavioral Adjustment Facility Trial.
Alarm Raiser - Never disable a Guard Tower using the controls at its base during a Behavioral Adjustment Facility Trial.
Gotta Keep 'Em Separated - Defeat Siege & Nightstar without moving them from their initial locations during a Behavioral Adjustment Facility Trial.
Strong & Pretty - Defeat Siege & Nightstar while none of their reinforcements are alive during a Behavioral Adjustment Facility Trial.
Once you have earned all of the badges listed about you will receive the Master of the B.A.F. badge and a random piece of rare salvage. -
About time.

If I lost some of my character names, especially the long held ones, that would be a deal breaker for me.

Or maybe it's because plenty of us would rather live in a small town instead of New York or Los Angeles.

Quote:I didn't really intend (much) sarcasm. The fact is there are LOTS of things going on behind the scenes in a game this complex and developers are continually having to tweak numbers here and there. They get enough grief from players as it is about things allegedly not working as intended. I'd like to see the numbers myself, but if I were a developer I wouldn't release them. Can you imagine all the "Trial X is supposed to have Y chance to get Z rewards, but I ran it 3 times yesterday and that's not the results I got" threads that would pop up on these boards?I realize that you were trying to be a little sarcastic with this remark but in essence I agree with the idea of the Devs being able to update the system "behind the scenes" without having to openly report everything to us. I'd rather the Devs have the freedom to change a value here or there by a few points without them having to deal with firestorms of angst from players which tend to serve no constructive purpose in the long run.

My biggest problem with knockback is that most powers with it only have a CHANCE to knockback. Knockback that is reliable is useful for deliberately repositioning enemies. Random knockback is what can be frustrating (though I don't mind it all that much myself.)

I'd like the see the official numbers on this as well, but it's unlikely that the devs will share them. As with many other things, us not knowing the real numbers lets the devs change them as they see fit without telling us.

Quote:I can agree with two of those, but Mother's figure is just too, er, improbable. Not to mention the insanity.Females: Mirror Spirit, Mother Mayhem and Belladona Vetrano are the best.
As for the men I'm not really qualified to judge. But surely there most be some fans of Dark Watcher's deep, brooding look or bad-boy Arbiter Sands. -
Quote:Avatar was released just over 2 years ago. Yes, I know that there were films released in 3D in the years before that, but those were chiefly "kid" movies. It wasn't until the success of Avatar that studios decided "ZOMG 3D rules and everything must have a 3D conversion!" Prior to that no one would have even considered releasing the Ghost Rider sequel in 3D.How many years must a thing last before it's no longer considered just a fad casue we are going on 7 years of 3D movies being profitable?
3D won't go away but hopefully 3D conversions of 2D movies (which generally end up looking like crap) will. "Real" 3D films are more expensive to produce and studios are less likely to be willing to shell out the extra money on films that aren't sure fire hits or made as 'prestige' films like Hugo. The exception to this is with computer generated animation where 3D is not significantly more expensive because the effects can be achieved through use of a virtual second camera. -

I'm sure that the term glass ceiling was used in an entirely cromulent way.

I'll join up and go with whatever team wants me: @Inquisitor.
Warning to teams potentially interested: I may suck.
PS Will any AT's be prohibited? Chiefly Kheldians because of the fly baked in to nova forms. -
Quote:I wouldn't recommend juggling the coffee.Ever drive a stick shift? You have to manage a steering wheel, a turn signal, and the gearshift all while managing three pedals with two feet. Not to mention the extraneous things like headlights, heating/AC, radio, windshield wipers, cellphone, coffee, and breakfast one might be juggling at the same time.

Quote:I don't know who your cheerleaders are but they haven't posted in this thread. Not one single response here has argued that BAF and Lambda are hard. And don't bother telling us that Golden Girl contradicted what she said here in a different thread. Golden Girl does that.I have a squad of cheerleaders constantly reminding me that the reason DA solo missions have terrible rewards is because Trials are HARD.
Quote:In the Baf in 20 seconds I figured out how to slow the prisoners to a crawl and I had never set foot in the zone.
If your real point is that the new Dark Astoria's rewards are too low compared to trials based on the Astoria content being harder, then that's what you should have said from the beginning. That's a valid point and a view I share. But Paragon has fallen into the typical MMO mentality that more people=harder=better rewards.
There are plenty of people that think the "solo path" for incarnate rewards should be more viable. I'm one of them. But simply ranting about the lack of difficulty in trials doesn't add much to the discussion. -

Quote:Have you really seen a thread recently complaining that BAF and Lambda are too difficult? He didn't mention that other MMO. He only addressed the perceived difficulty of the iTrials. I have seen threads and posts about the difficulty some people experienced completing them, and I believe this thread was in response to those comments.
Of course the OP would be best suited to respond to this, I can only offer my interpretation. -
I can't even stand to play MMO's on a laptop.
