I almost wouldn't be surprised if they redid the skeletal structure of toons for GR to allow for more mounting points, depending on how much work they're putting into it.

Gods, yes. I'd love some decent tattoos that aren't used by everyone because there's only two tattoo options or tattoos for females besides just for forearms. Some piercings besides the pierced male nipples for leather straps'd be good, too.

Quote:As it stands right now, the very least they could do that would still be a big upgrade to the costume creator would be to split things up like:And make certain items appear in different places. Quote:Eh.. clicking something on the character because you were trying to move it around was annoying, so I could do without that, and it was broken up into some odd sections with some things that didn't make sense and was at times far too complicated for it's own good, as with the multiple color options that didn't even match from piece to piece which got used for 2-color pieces, for example.I'd like them to steal the Champs Online character creator. That was a thing of beauty.
It was damn nice, though, aside from the art style. So.. if you're going to rip it off.. do it right and make it work like it was meant to, I suppose. I have more faith in our devs to do that than the Cryptic ones. -
This boolean plan of your's sounds like an added server strain from having to pass along equations and such from person to person.
Personally, what I'd do is add in asymmetry and further break up things into parts to allow for more pieces to be used at once. It's already been shown that there can be enough options to have a scroll bar on the left, and I really want to be able to use horns with sunglasses.
It's also already been shown that the system can be set to recognize if something would clash and not allow you to choose an option, as with capes and trenchcoats, so just get rid of the robot arms type and add in an upper arm option so we can have a robot in a three piece suit if we want.
I suppose what hasn't been shown that I'd like would be allowing two overlaying patterns instead of just one.. or say an option to turn a pattern from regular to shiny, etc, and a self-illumination option if glowing isn't allowed.
And as for asymmetry as I mentioned earlier.. it's been shown to be allowed through the robotic arm options that the system can handle two different models for upper arms and forearms/hands.
..One of these days I should just do some mock-ups in Photoshop to help make this easier to explain. -
No specific toons, but I did rearrange/transfer character slots on my server of choice to give me plenty of new toon options.

I think "CK" is doing just fine. He just needs to give it time to let it develop. She already thinks he's a nice guy and she's defending his faults to other people. That right there is a textbook case of "I can change him" starting and that's usually where the magic happens. Well, not the changing, but the part where P ends up with her own throne next to his, when in actuality it's a metaphorical chain that keeps her sprawled at his feet in a gold bikini.
There's a more serious issue to be discussed, though. What's that? Well, I think we all know about S, and his problems with GW.. and I think we need to talk about that more since CK seems fine with P, besides needing to be patient. -
Quote:If you were to divide the map by going North from the Eastern wall behind the Vanguard base, it'd be in the Western third of the section without the ship in it.. say.. 3/5ths the way up. Look for a building with Council banners by the door and Council guards stationed outside it. It's in the kinda "empty" space filled with ruins right before you come to the more "populated" city section, if that makes any sense. All the time I have spent in RWZ and I never knew there was an underground section. Any pointers on where to find the entrance?
Edit: Damn, I was off. Pretty sure it's where the Base Jumper badge is in the map.

The circular pond in Croatoa that's part of the Baby New Year map. It's neat to go there at night in Paragon City and watch the Wisps dance from on top of the rocks.

Quote:If you were determined to change the world for the better without having to do so by wringing it dry between your hands.. why not give the world a common enemy to unite behind you to deal with? It's in effect a bloodless coup. Or rather.. bloodless on your hands. As long as no one finds out the truth and you don't let your conscience get to you and you keep your eye on the prize, the only thing to keep you from your goal is what you've unleashed. You don't have to be moustachio-twirling, top hat wearing, monocle squinting evil for that (though that's an awesome look). Its the first thing I thought of when I read the bio. However, I hope that the writers did not go there, because its so much more interesting that Tyrant actually did take over the world because he thinks its for the world's own good, rather than being a straight-up mustache-twirling evil-doer.
Think of it as thinning out the stupid from the herd. The only way you'd end up being evil is if in the end, you're not the one who writes the history about it. -
Quote:The easiest one to get to for awhile was the Talos one when that entire section of the pier to PI was missing on the Live servers. This reminds me of when arena first came out.
Fun fact: The reflections on the floor of the arena aren't really reflections, but an upside down arena under the floor.
There should also be one of those matrix rooms under the other arenas.

Anything with a split second detoggle. If you want to mezz me, mezz me.
If you have problems with Sappers, you should play Dark Armor. Sappers are DA food. I'd have thought Carnies would be bad for Uberr Gothikka considering their energy damage, my dark/dark scrap, but they're surprisingly delicious AND nutritious, too! -

Ok, so I'm playing my deliciously SMASH!y super strength/willpower brute, doing Operative Wellman's arc and then did my level 20 stuff for my extra costume slot and my cape. In an hour's span I'd smashed the two statues in Steel Canyon twice, with vastly different experiences.
The first time, I smashed them for Operative Wellman's arc and fought Wyvern with some random Outcasts and Tsoo for local Steel Canyon flavor. This mission could use some.. um.. tweaking, I'd say.
I cleared everything except for the statues to save the best for last and while doing so I noticed the Outcast boss (Lt with my difficulty settings) had an idle comment wondering why the "Longbow heroes" or something were all around.
After I thought everything was clear, I went and decided to go for the statue I was closest to, to the North. I don't know if I did it too hastily or what, but after taking out the Wyvern around it and the statue, I got two Wyvern ambushes with Wing Fang Agents in each at the same time that hunted me down while I was taking out mobs I'd missed. Needless to say they were no match for my SMASH and dispatched easily. Then things got.. interesting.
Two ambushes appeared nearby at the EXACT same time that made me chuckle since they both said "We're going down, Lady Puncherella!" but perhaps without the $name/$target in it. They definitely told me they were going down, to which I thought "you damn well are, hero fools!" ...Then they proceeded to absolutely destroy me. In my prone state of analyzing the workmanship of the concrete, I checked out who my attackers were. It was a Wing Raptor Agent, an Elite Boss. Well hell, an EB on an ambush?! Then I tabbed around and saw that EACH ambush had an EB in it. Wha...? I even checked Paragonwiki for more information and found out a named Lt is supposedly the only existence of Raptor Agents of any sort in the game.
So I hospital'd it out to try the other statue because I figured then at least I could clear the Wyvern around it and the statue and complete the mission quick. This time though, on the southern one, the sets of two ambushes were nice enough to wait until I'd cleared one ambush before the next started. One EB at a time was a tad easier, even though I'd focused on the SMASH and ignored my mezz protection for now and their stun was killer.
After that and the mission was complete, I had an choice.. exit the mission or actually finish it. Naturally, being a good brute, I made my way back to the two EBs who'd gotten me earlier. I managed to get their surrounding minions for possible inspiration drops and one of the EBs down to a sliver of health before they took me out again. This time, though, I didn't have an option of hospitalling it.. plus I remembered I had the power <.< and used Resuscitate and quickly took out the almost dead EB. Then I focused on the second and it suddenly switched to either a smart or "cheap" tactic at random and spammed me with Entangling Arrow instead of Stunning Shot, dropping my recharge to next to nothing. But still, I prevailed and managed to take him out.
I cleansed my palette of that by SMASHing some low level Family in Port Oakes and Longbow in the precursor mission to the cape mission (I'd forgotten just how damn funny the knockback on the contraband is. Srsly, heh.). Then it was back to those damned statues, but with Longbow to SMASH and a Hero instead of Wyvern. Needless to say, the ambushes of a general Longbow ambush, a Longbow ambush with an Officer and THEN the Hero ambush after that only AFTER destroying BOTH statues was much easier. Especially since my missions are set at even level, no bosses, so they were Lieutenants.
For the tl;dr..
- Operative Wellman's statue mission produced eight total ambushes with four comprising of two with Lieutenants (actual Lieutenants, since they were Wing Fang Agents) and then two ambushes with Wing Raptor Agent Elite Bosses for each statue.
- The Villain Cape Mission produced three ambushes total of a generic Longbow ambush, a Longbow ambush with an Officer (a boss set to a Lt), and a Longbow ambush with the Hero (a boss set to Lt), after destroying BOTH statues.

Knock it off. All of you. Even though I disagree that RPers should get some kind of special treatment and went for a lulzy "lolRP" in my initial post because I didn't think I'd be listened to if I talked logically, what you're doing is essentially taking potshots at people from behind someone else's back.
Grow some backbone and actually join the conversation.

So far? A replica Jared Allen Minnesota Vikings jersey that I brought to a family gift exchange for males on the basis of "buy something you'd want to get" that I managed to roll doubles late enough in the game to be able to steal from someone else. Because, well.. I bought something I knew I wanted.

Praetorian Sally is an urban legend. Sure, you can find info on her and even her textures in the pigg files, and you may see screenshots of when a Community Rep brings her out in Pocket D during an event, but it's all heresay from a friend of a friend.
-
What better way to prove the citizenry is safe than to let a GM run rampant only to have Praetoria's best and brightest show up and beat it down handily at minimal risk to property and the citizens?
-
If this' true, then Praetorian Mako needs to have a patron arc about his unrequited love for her.
-
In Praetoria, babies eat Sally!
In all seriousness, would Salamanaca even be the same in Praetoria? I thought all the weirdness there was because of Rularuu that happened after the Rikti Invasion and well after Emperor Cole was in charge? -
Quote:I realized that sometime after I hit send upon rereading my post. Thank you for pointing it out, though, as it gives me an excuse to post in the thread to clarify something before my words get misconstrued. And Teleport is only suppressed in the club itself to keep people from gatecrashing the VIP Room. It works fine by the chalet.
My earlier point about powers being on in Pocket D is this.. we've now been supplied numerous areas in the game where absolutely no powers are active save perhaps the Vaz disease, one of them being co-op. If people choose not to use them and instead stay in the public areas where powers aren't deactivated then save obvious griefing with teleporting or summoning, the most someone can do with their powers is be rude to you and that's simply something you have to be ready to deal with if you choose not to use the areas where powers are disabled. -
Quote:First, a prerequisite "people play the game with the sound on?! :O"They are loud, flashy and irritating?
It'd be some what like having some one flash their car lights through the window, while honking their horn loudly, while you are playing [Insert PnP RP Game OF Choice Here].
Second, your metaphor doesn't really make too much sense given the nature of the game. A more apt one would be "it'd be like having someone flash their car lights while honking their horn loudly, while you've stopped in the middle of a busy parking lot before actually parking to play [Insert PnP RP Game OF Choice Here]."
I mean.. the only powers turned off in Pocket D are teleporting powers. Heck, I'd even say the Ski Chalet area almost requires power usage given the attractions. -

Quote:No, all that because I disagree with your point of view regarding the situation, such as your belief that anyone who disagrees with you on this disagrees with you on everything. If I disagree with you that spaghetti isn't the best pasta dish of all time (clearly, chicken or shrimp fettuccine alfredo is), that doesn't mean I disagree with you that cats are cute. *idly scratches Zell's tummy, illiciting a purr and content kitty face as she flops from her leopard print cat bed on his bed to lay across his mouse arm to try and make sure her daddy pays attention to her*And all that because you don't like RP and enjoy deriding it. Wow.
The reason I responded to your post is because it annoyed me. If you don't like RP, that's fine but that wasn't the point of the discussion. Attempting to turn my replies into some kind of 'you have become the person who was haranguing you' are puerile. Oh and very passive aggressive.
This is a discussion board, not a 1-1 conversation board. Therefore anything you, me, or anyone else puts up, is up for discussion.
I never said I dislike roleplaying. I'd be quite the hypocrite or had a very souring experience in my past to go from spending 5-6 years roleplaying on AOL and IRC where I met my ex-fiancee, to suddenly hating roleplaying as completely as you seem to think I do.
If anything, I was half tempted to ask if people's powers or emotes were bothering you or disrupting your roleplaying because you need to do it in local and use the emotes for the visual cues. Had you said yes, then I would've been half tempted again to say you're quite honestly not doing a good enough job putting forth the literary imagery through your roleplaying. Or as they say on the intrawebs, "YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG."
