  2. Hey guys,

    I am attempting to create a keybind that will allow me to cycle through targets in a mob while automatically setting the target as a waypoint. This will allow me to see the distance from each critter, allowing me to ride my range limits. I have been searching all night for an existing thread. I have read so many guides. My eyes hurt. Its 4am. I am going to bed. However, if any of you have an idea of how to do this please let me know. Thank you very much in advance.

    Anyone care to post a sample build? I tweak and I tweak but I feel as if I am missing out on something. How much defense/resistance should I be aiming for? What's a decent recharge rate? What should my Recovery/Regen rates be? So many questions. I appreciate all the help. I also apologize to the OP as it seems I have hijacked his thread. (Though any help I receive here is bound to be helpful to him as well hehe)

    After much debate and heated discussion with MIDS, I have arrived at what a build that I think is decent. Take a look at it and see what you think. It has decent defense, and some nice S/L resist. All number are decent. Nothing is fantastic. Its built to be fun all levels. If there are any others out there that notice any glaring holes let me know as this will probably end up being the build I respec into.

    Yea if you get any help with this let me know. I have been trying for weeks to get an answer to my post. lol I have a level 50 Fire/elec blaster. It is not IOed out(which is what I actually need help with). Anyways, I might be able to suggest some powers. These choices are strictly from my play experience.

    Fire Blast
    I took everything but Rain of Fire, Blazing Bolt, and Inferno. I found them to be to situational and actually slowed me down a bit. I prefer to SS(with celerity+stealth) in Blast em and move on. An attack chain might go something like this.

    Fire Breath->Fire Ball->Blaze->Fire Blast---->Rinse and repeat IF necessary.

    Electrical Melee.
    I kinda look at this as a backup in case someone gets past your firey onslaught.
    To those ends I took Electrical Fence(becus I had to), charged brawl, havoc punch, and Power Sink(for the end drain goodness.)
    I preferred to slot my Elec melee powers for KB so that I can keep blasting at them from a distance.
    Thunder Strike's animation takes WAY to long to be effective. you may already be dead by the time you land the hit. That said I took it way late as a filler for those long GM/AV battles.

    Of course Aim and Buildup are a given.

    Mastery Sets are your personal choice. I love this toon. He is my new main. Replaced several others due to popularity/playtime. Actually deleted another fire blaster in preference to this one. I Leveled him up through actual gameplay(no PLing) in about 2 months. Fun!
  8. This is what I came up with after reading a few posts. It just seems to me I got halfway there with a bunch of different things but never really finished one idea. Nothing is really capped and Recharge is ok. Should I specialize? Is this build ok? I want to be exemping alot for TFs, Ouros Mishes, and just normal teaming. What do you all think?

  9. Ok so I just ran the 3rd Respec mission tonight. I am currently a level 50 Fire blast/Elec Manipulation blaster. While I have played this toon through the levels(no PLing), I have not really gotten into IO building. I have made a few sample builds in MIDS but I am just not sure what I should be aiming for. SHould I be aiming for recharge, capped resist, defense, or damage? SHould it be some mix of them? I am looking to fully slot this toon out. And while I am willing to work at whatever funds are needed, the billion INF build may be unreachable for me at this point. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great. Say I was looking to build for around 300 million INF, what kind of build could I get?

  11. Ok so I admit I know nothing about building a tank. I am a blaster that was tempted to the world of tanking by a friend. This is my attempt at a herding tank. If it seems to have a lack of focus(as this is generally the response I get when posting a build) please give me a focus. Tear it apart. Leave nothing standing unless you like it. Dont worry about my feelings. I can take it. lol Seriously though I wanna build the best tank I can using these powersets. The build must be Leveling/exemping friendly as well. Thank you in advance.

Not sure if thats necessary though. I will try reworking build and post it for further scrutiny. Keep the great ideas coming.   16. So I have been talking to some friends ingame. They have given me some interesting suggestions. While noone has posted a comment here, I would like to revamp my build. Here it is. The goal is to be team oriented(mostly TFs and story arcs). I am building to exemp(again TFs). I want to have as much recharge, S/L resist, and damage buff as possible while not nerfing the individual powers. I think this will give me what I want. If you think it can be done for cheaper or more efficiently with slotting, thats always a plus. THanks in advance for your help.

  21. Oh wow. Thanks guys. I had not thought about that. I was using Efficacy adapter in stamina but I see your point about using fewer slots to get more effectiveness. That is one problem I always find myself thinking about is where the slots should go. This forum has helped me more than I expected.

  22. Hey sorry I took so long to get back to you guys. I have been detained by the real world. so pesky as it is. Anyways, thanks for all the help. I appreciate you guys taking the time help me make a decision. As I have mostly been an "AE baby" and a farm based player to date, I have not had the pleasure to experience the game as it was meant to be played til now. I was worried how the endurance issue would present itself in standard play. (yes I always take stamina and 6 slot it.) Moving away from my PLed toons(Coru) to the toons I am gonna take through the game(Spark) I wanted to do it right. I believe Fireball has its purpose. I look forward to teaming with you all!

  23. The two blasters in question are: Coruscating Oxidizer--Level 38
    Elemental Spark--Level 14

    Coru has been a street runner his whole life and done little teaming or mish running.
    Sparky is going to be my teaming and TF running Toon. I want him to work well in a team setting in mishes.

    I know the play style is different between the two. This is where I run into confusion. On a team, I will not be responsible for all the damage as I am when soloing the streets. I want Sparky to be as efficient on a team as Coru is alone.

    I know I am rambling so if I am not adequately supplying you all with the info you need just let me know.

  24. Hey everyone. This is my first time posting. I appreciate any help I can get.

    My main toon is a Fire/devices blaster. I use Fireball a LOT. However, I have been paying more and more attention and notice that I am much more efficient relying on single target attacks. Time of battle is faster and endurance drain is less. However I hear many sing the praises of AoE powers. I dont see the damage I would like from Fireball for the END drain. Am I expecting to much or doing something wrong? Only been playing for a few months so all advice is welcome.
