    Mr. MP knows what's up.

Now you're getting philosophical. Obviously, the devs want VIPs to desire the new Premium sets so much that they would be willing to pay real monies for them. I think the carrots they will use are interesting mechanics, cool power animations, and long desired sets (like staves, for example).

Powers that don't meet these criteria will be for free.

I think we're in for a tidal wave of new Premium sets. If one is willing to pay, you'll be able to drown yourself in alts. (See what I did there? ).

    Definitely.

Time Manipulation, which is free, seems to be a straightforward buff/debuff set, while Beam Rifle, which is not, has a special debuff mechanic that makes subsequent beam attacks better AND IT'S A FREAKIN' BEAM RIFLE! Street Justice is a set people have been clamoring for for ages, and it also has a new Combo mechanic that has FINISHING MOVES.

For-pay sets will have to be better, or there will be complaints. I don't know how this might impact existing sets.

My question was answered by Positron: Beam Rifle and Street Justice are "Premium" Power sets that will cost 800 PPs.
  6. Yet more Freedom information.

Two more new sets: Beam Gun and Street Justice!

I think I'll be rolling a Heroic Beam Gun/Time Manipulation Corruptor when I21 hits!
  7. Street Justice? It's like Christmas in July! People have been asking for something like this forever!

Hey, my Pistolero is Tier 4 pimped out! I was bringing the DPS, plus I have Seer Lore pets... psy damage!
  9. Too busy reading and digesting to post this.

But hey, what about that Double XP weekend next week? Anyone got plans?

Well, 1,200 Paragon Points for a Reward Token, so they definitely will be selling them for real money.

Cool... thanks. Thanks, too, Snow Globe.

    Thanks.

This is a lot to process...
  13. So is this just a run-down of how Vet rewards will work in Freedom, or is this a preview of how the whole market will work?
  14. I admire the attempt to do this with a PUG, Voo, but I think we need a lot more debuff (and DPS) to take down Marauder without grenades. Control would have helped with the adds, too.

The series only gets more harsh as it progresses; I'm thinking of Lollys, I'm thinking of one whole PoV from DwD, and most of the Mereen stuff. A lot of this will have to be toned down for HBO.

Gwendoline is way too hot to be Brienne, but according to Martin, she dressed the part for her audition and she totally pulled it off, so I'm willing to believe for now.

The Stannis and Melisandre castings look spot on as well.

I'm surprised that comment wasn't redacted from later printings. George has had cause to regret that remark for many years now.
  18. Finished Dance today. I'm emotionally drained. A whole new set of cliffhangers to ponder.

That happened to me as well. I'm not sure exactly what I thought Jon Snow looked like before, but now I can't get Kit Harrington's image and voice out of my head during the Jon chapters. Not necessarily a bad thing, because I think Harrington nailed the character.

Anti-Antimatter isn't that hard on a good team. I was on a team MP put together that got it. The bunker badge seems like it should be doable as well, but it's harder than it sounds.
  22. All of these features are so great I can't decide on just one!
