  1. Probably not. Most likely something needing the services of an administrator.
  2. I'll keep an eye out for a Ryo-Ohki, Neko...

Just got in from running out and about today. Had to pick up meds, broke down and bought some makeup at the Back Bay CVS today. Also went to my counselor. Seeing him again right before the Meet and Greet...figure gonna need it that day before. I anticipate being a nervous wreck. It's been years since I've attended anything fan related, and suspect there will be a crowd...

Did I mention it's been years since I have been to a social function (and no, hubby's friend's sixteen year old sweet sixteen party doesn't count!)? I may wind up being the one hiding behind the potted plants..

Demon, my diagnosis is also bipolar disorder, I also have generalized panic disorder. I've been seeing therapists since I was 7 and I've been medicated for the last 9 years. My body builds up a resistance to my meds and I eventually have to switch things around. Now is one of those times for a change up on the meds.

Saw my shrink yesterday and she did a minor tweak to my mood stabilizer, increased it from .5 mg to 1.5 mg. Can't change too much at once otherwise we don't know what's working & what's not.

Tonight I go see my therapist. He's a really awesome guy and talking to him helps. But like I said, I've been seeing therapists since I was 7 and I guess I just don't understand why I'm not getting any better. It's frustrating. It's tiring. It makes me very sad.
As Neko said, what we have is a chemical imbalance. Worse yet, it can mimic other illnesses..as I found out. I have seizures, which gave me the diagnosis of epilepsy long after the original brain damage had healed..a bit of a shock to find out it was the disorder causing it after all those years.

Wyld, someday we need to get in game and compare notes

Today is just not a good day. Actually, the last few days haven't been good in the Wyld head. Having a mental illness is something I wouldn't even wish on my worst enemy, or my ex-husband. *sigh* And it's just never gonna go away. I'm so tired of fighting it. I want to give up and let it win.

    *sobs quietly into her coffee*

Sorry to be such a downer.
/me hugs Wyld. I think I understand. I recently found out that on top of it all, I am bipolar. Started the new meds on Jan 1st. I can see the improvement already in me. Not so excessive in swinging moods, now, thank God...!

Whatever you do, don't let the illness win. Make an appointment to see your doctor, and if you aren't already seeking therapy, now is a good time to do so.

Like I told Neko, we're here for ya.

"Morning, all. I agree, let's not wake the cute little sock guy..."

Hi Wyld, nice to see ya.

There is a meet and greet Demon? There is a para-transit system? Like a whole system?
Yup, happens in Boston on the 27th..it will be outside of the PAX East venue, so everyone can come (tickets for Sat. are already gone..) and meet some of the devs from CoH. Where it's going to be is not known yet. Someone's got to be running a betting pool on where it's going to be..lol!

And there is a paratransit system that is part of the Boston MBTA (or T). It's not the whole train/bus system, but a group of vans/cars that can pick you up at a designated time to take you to and from where you need to go. It's going to make grocery shopping and going to the doctor's a whole lot easier as well..

How old are you? We've got players ranging from teens to at least their fifties..(I'm 52 in real life)....but you are as young as you feel
  8. Ordered my new glasses about an hour ago. I'll be wearing them to the meet and greet at the end of the month....

But that's not the best news...the best news is I finally got on Boston's paratransit system. Not in a wheelchair, but I do tend to have falls if I don't look out. So this will be safer for me than trying to go to and from (especially from) on Boston's T, not to mention I don't have to carry taxi fare in case the even runs over, since I can't drive.

Yes, I am happy! I now have FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welp, looks like I have a ride...on Boston's paratransit system (which means it's for people with handicaps)...and while I am not in a wheelchair, I do have seizures and fugue episodes, which can cause falls like the spectacular one last fall that wound up with me being escorted to the doctor and back..

I've been trying to get on that program for a couple of years now...and figured it was never going to happen...but got the news in my mail this afternoon.

So now, meet and greet? No problem, I just went from 'maybe' to 'probably'!
  10. Hi, guys...

Not gonna be able to stick around much longer...going to the eye doctor today and get new glasses ordered..(my old ones have been broken since I took that spill onto my face in September-bent the frames to heck and back) Been using my reading glasses to get around, but not as good as bifocals. Surprised that I've not been run over yet.

Be back later, probably on the chat channel in game. You have been warned:P
  11. I did miss that post, Neko, but it doesn't matter if you are transgendered or whatever, we are here for you. I can tell you are well loved, and we will be here for you...

My grandmother used to tell me, "If there is nothing else you can do, you abide..." which I think was her way of saying, "This, too, shall pass."

The good times will come again. You just have to believe it. And call your support group...let them know what is going on with you..They may just not know how to approach you or even know about your problems.

See if your therapist will consider a sliding fee for you, based on your present income.

And ignore the ones who call you 'Sir'. They can't see the real you.

The short list is I'm horribly depressed, feeling near suicidal again. My life feels like a cruel joke and it hurt so hard every day. Money being so tight certainly doesn't help either, and so often I feel like I'm drowning alone. The hormones playing yo yo with my emotions doesn't help either.
"I know that too well, you just described me pre menopause. You know you can always come here to vent..everyone missed you while you were gone..

You know, your 'feeling near suicidal again' worries me. You might want to go to a doctor to see if there is anything physical or otherwise wrong. That's what I finally had to do for my yo yo emotions when they persisted after the menopause kicked in."

:cuddles the kitty in the meantime. "You're not alone, ok?"

  14. Pfft. We all said that the end of the world was coming when Atlanta won the World Series in 1995-

And who knows, in 4 more years, maybe it will be the US' turn....(passes lattes all round, and puts up a basket of pastries and fruit.)
  15. (of course, if anyone offers a ride home, I won't be adverse to it..and would chip in for gas...Just don't like begging, that's all.)
  16. Hmm, probably a good thing it shuts down at ten pm, else I might be running into problems the later it gets.

Or begging for rides...(I hate begging, the last time I needed help getting home from somewhere, it was hubby who did the begging...)
  17. I have only one thing to say...

    What have I started now???

    (watches the swimsuit thing snowball...)
  18. :is roused from her sleep by the sounds of the Mach 5, nearly falls off her ceiling beam..."What is that racket??"

:looks down. "Oh, it's you, Fedor...good morning..or is it afternoon?"

(Wish I'd admitted that when I bought my tickets...) Providence would be as good as impossible for me, too, even if an RI venue would have been kind of appropriate.
Hmm, cab fare might be something to put aside. I would prefer to go my own way...just hope it's not one of the more dangerous parts of town. Going by myself, husband hates crowds, and you have to pry him off STO with a crowbar.

Thank you for saying this. Found the D&B in RI and was thinking 'there goes the meet and greet for me!' (No car, so get around on Boston's T-yes they have the MBTA aka "the T"..)

Do you know how many variations of the Flying V there are out there, including some that I can't mention in this forum???

  25. Got a question, and may as well ask it here...

What happens when you change your @global? Do you stay on your friend's list or do you break them?

Thinking of changing my @global to something easier to type since @demon caller oryo is pretty much out of date (changed the toon name since, and debating doing it again..). Just wondering what will happen....
