Yeah I say the same. Not played tank in missions recently but about a month ago I was still able to do this. I reckon it was that bug fix that stopped single attack moves doing AoE damage.

Well base raids are out but im sure can do something else. Just depends whose about - may just be some sg teaming or if enough people interested some arena action.

Also finally got my dom to 40, man thats been a struggle. Teams are just not what they used to be, roll on I7 thats all I can say. Now means I prob spend most time just helping out anyone that needs it or playing my little brute.

Well you've seen my stalker out and about mixing it about with the big boys. One issue of balance I feel might arise is when fighting with heros you are not allowed to join there team. Thus you are abit limited in knowing where all your team are and how they are doing. For my stalker it has been able to get away with this but for others it may prove difficult. I give you a quick example - say our team comprises of a empath defender, brute, stalker, controller and blaster. The empath can react quite easily to the blaster taking damage as can see his health and also location on map. The brute taking damage would be alot harder as you dont get to see there health bar or location. Thus teamwork and synergy is alot harder to do. Not sure whether that means it would be better to fight with your own kind or not. I suppose isnt a real option yet unless a number of villains make the jump to test server (although I do feel its possible as there is abit of interest out there).

Yeah I am trying to encourage afew people to show up to these kind of practise sessions (not just from my sg).

Big grats to E.V.I.L.'s pentad team reaching the semi finals of the pentad tournament. We did have to chop and change abit but I feel we can hold up our heads very high. We put on some great fights and more importantly seemed to have a right blast. I hope we can organise some pentad sessions so we can learn/become even better.

It was through the channel the idea was suggested and Ronin and Kinslayer then took it upon themselves to organise. Any ideas/suggestions on how to get more heros involved will be welcome.

I know afew hero teams dropped out but had there been more hero leaders, I would have expected more hero teams.

I disagree (with your opinion on villains and heros) and under the impression no matter what ya do, villains dont really stand a chance.

Now agree with what ya saying in terms of tactics but even if you had synergy and great team work, heros have enough diversity to easily counter anything you do.

So far theres no real way to prove otherwise but give it time. My money will be on the hero pentad team. Im not saying villains cant win (I am sure its possible to win against some heros with a very very specialised villain pentad team). I am just saying in my honest opinion dont expect a hero vs villain team to be balanced and a close fight. I would love for you to prove me wrong.

What some of the villains encountered today was some of the best pvpers on heros. Now most of the villains are not specialist pvp builds and are still learning the tricks of the trade so the results were slighlty biased.

Now I managed to have a close fight with a hero team. Like us I would say they were not specialised i.e. hand picked because of there builds. They were there for abit of fun. I think they would tell you we were not static, we were able to have a good tactical battle but only because of build deficiencies. Had they been more of a pvp build they would have destroyed us like most other hero teams did. Unless things change some what dramatically I dont see what the heros have to fear from villains.

Finally I would just like to say a big thanks for kinslayer and Ronin for giving up there time to host/organise it. I dont think people appreciate how difficult it is to do. Top job guys, dont be put off with some of the sour points (how long it took to finally get it going). The whole idea was to have a sort of community event. I am sure much was gained from doing it which will surely result in better organised events next time. Its a shame a number of teams pulled out (was disappointed not to see a Super Union team) but all that matters is I had fun

Those that I spoke to had a great time. Im sure harsh lessons were learned (both organisers and fighers) but its only through initiatives like this that pvp on union will improve and prosper.

Well had a practise for this pentad this sunday and like I thought, fighting against heros is pointless. They dominated but glad got chance to have a slight practise. Heres hoping we fair better against villains.

Its worth noting since a certain patch base raids have become a hell of alot more unstable. As such I have given up on them until they have sorted it out.

Also the rules of what is needed has changed. Before you could have an instant raid fairly easyily, now you have to have a base set up as if its an actual proper raid so mish computer, vault, 6 anchors etc.

Just a heads up that there is a pentad tournament this Sunday at 6 and E.V.I.L. should be there. Got a provisional team but knowing this lot they will forget. Everyone that is an appropriate level (high end of villains) is welcome to join in. Might be able to have one pure team and another mixed team consisting of some elements from E.V.I.L. If you dont fancy partaking in this pentad, turn up anyway and give us some suport and watch in awe as we get creamed. This reminds me best put a message in our MotD.

Also for those with the appropriate security clearance, the secret operation "steal 1AT members" is going well.

The trial can only be run if you have a raidable base with a vault and an IoP base (without an IoP), right?

Hmm, my SG doesn't have anywhere near 24 active-at-one-time members, so this is going to be quite difficult for us unless we start to expand a bit.

Maybe now a viable 'roving SG' of 24 raid-whacking people who pimp themselves out to help other SGs will appear, and run the trial for SGs who can pay for the privilege? Not only will the SG then get an IoP, but they will get a decent 5million prestige boost. Wow, that's more prestige than what my SG has in total at the moment.

About the raid etiquette. If an SG doesn't want thier stuff destroyed, set the IoP raid window for some unrealistic time, and don't sign any of the members up for the raid. The raiding team then wins by default, as I understand it. Sure they cart off your IoP, but chances are you didn't want it, you just wanted the experience and prestige.

Be very happy if that prestige reward thing is true. One other thing I heard/read (hopefully true) is it doesnt have to be your own sg. Other members can join in but ofcourse they wont get the IoP.

Not sure about this comment. I dont think it would make to much of a difference about the size of the sg and the feelings it would provoke. I would imagine the feeling would be the same for the majority of sgs regardless of size - being totally gutted and [censored] off.

I know if the majority of items in my base was destroyed it would take well over a month to be able to replace them. Items such as turbine generator cost 1.5 mil prestige and thats just for one item. If you start adding all the destroyable items you could end up with a hefty figure. The risk of losing so much of what you have put together in seems extremely high.

If someone trashes up my base on purpose it shouldnt take to much to get the bare minimum back in order to try (as u cant pick your targets) send back a squad to try and retaliate. For smaller sgs I agree it would probably take abit longer to attack back.

I know retaliating wouldnt accomplish much but I know I would feel alot better (and villainous). I would imagine seeing an attempt to trash your base would result in abit more than just tempers raising - it result in a full out war!

Yeah the void hunter rifle is fantastic. Looks sooooooo cool. Just so people know you get it from Psymon Omega story arc. Just wish it still did extra damage to Kheldians. I wouldnt fire it, just to make them sweat and run away from me, mwh ha ha
