I have a few questions about this. For those of us who went through the Ouro list and completed all the souvenirs, why does the old Positron TF not show up as being already completed? Did the souvenir itself change? Does it really give the same rewards as it did before? Will it get marked off if we take the time to run it yet again just to keep a complete list? (I don't really mind, but curious)

We were thinking the last mission might not be so bad as long as it's ghosted to the end and the AVs are pulled to the hallway and people leave the generators for last... it's the War Rider shenanigans that has us worried, but I'm sure even those tactics could be easily modified for an Mo attempt. Even Hami shouldn't be so bad as long as everybody is on the same page.

Well, the only way to know for sure is to try.

haha no worries man. It's not that important. I just feel like it's a curse. Every time I've switched from Robin to Tabby, we were successful. We've earned it countless times with Tabby, but the few times I finally get to run it with Robin, something silly happens to ruin it. Like I've said before, if I wanted it THAT bad "RITE NAO", I would have hung out in Cimerora and had it by now anyway. You know how I am with these badges things. haha

Thanks for the attempt. We'll try again soon!

We don't worry about blame. It was fun. The best part about last night was that the phail came AFTER Rom was already dead and we just had about 100 more Cimerorans to take down. It really did make me laugh.

Good times! We should do it again.. only without the phail. haha

I'm in for pretty much whatever night you all want to.

This weekend might not be good though. We might try a MoLGTF on Test server. It's existence is not yet confirmed, but we have had a few hints regarding not yet finding all the new i17 goodies, and RWZ being one of the places to look.

    See you all soon!

Maybe at the end of a Mothership raid, it will trigger another ship to fly over and invade? ROFL j.k

Sounds like a perfect opportunity to test out a MoLGTF some time this weekend. Woo-hoo!

It was in the interview because the badge is added to the game, just like they have added and announced Veteran badges and rewards ahead of time as well.

The fact that they are not yet earnable just means they are thinking ahead and that more stuff is certainly on the way to get us that many badges, which is always a positive thing to think about.

Here's something else to look forward to in the future:

Back on topic, has anybody tested any more "Master of" badges? I'd like to see more of those.

Well I'm glad windowed mode works for you at least.
Too bad the other setting you are trying isn't working out though

Did you change your hardware since then? Maybe the new setup isn't supported in the same way?

Even today, I still see and use "size (desktop)" as an option and still use Fullscreen mode without any issues swapping between multiple instances.

I log on today, and all of a sudden I have the Veteran rewards for 33, 36, 39, 42, 45, and 48 months. There's part of me that is saying "don't complain", but I'm ignoring it.

I didn't earn these veteran rewards. Is this part of the same bug affecting others, or do I need to /bug it separately?
I had the same type of thing happen to me last year. I was only at about 33 months at the time, but ONE of my characters was awarded up to the 48 month badges. All of my other characters were unaffected and my account status still showed only 33, but I was also awarded 2 free character slots (as the 36 and 48 month rewards).

I sent in a ticket and was told not to claim any of the "unearned" rewards in case fixing the problem would mess things up.

I'm currently at 45 months. No, finally reaching 36 months did not give me yet another character slot because it was already awarded to me previously. I expect the same thing to happen when I hit 48.

Even a year later, even after updating my ticket a few times, it was never fixed. To this day, the affected character still has up to the 48 month badges and rewards even though all of my other characters are only on 45. At this point it's not much of an issue for me unless that character doesn't hit 51 when the rest of my account does.
  9. I'm in the Boston area. I've used both the Live and Test servers. I was on last night and most of today without any connection issues.

To be honest, I've NEVER been able to complete a full tracert on any of the CoH servers. It always times out for me at some point, but I ran mine for you anyway just to show you that a working connection can still come up with the same results:

I've always found that reasoning kinda fishy actually. If you are blinded in PvE and try to assist a teammate, it simply gives you the overhead error "Target too hard to see". I don't see why that functionality would work any differently in PvP.

I think it's more so that you cant all target your team's leader and go after the same target immediately. You have to all find and select the person you are going after yourself.

Anyway, whatever the reason actually is, the point is that it's supposed to work that way, so it's just something to get used to if you are going to spend time in PvP zones.

I don't see them, but I could be missing them. I found the old Positron TF in the 1-15 section where it should be though.

Even if they overlook it now, it might be something easily added later. What lvl range are the new arcs anyway?

    Edit:
After further investigation, I found the arcs to be 20-29, and can all be found in the 25-29 section of Ouro... but only one shows up at first. The second one will unlock after you complete the first.

    Edit2:
On Heroside, look for "Twisted Reflections" in the middle of the 25-29 list.
Completing it will unlock "Looking Through the Glass" right above it on the list.

On Villainside, look for "Me, Myself, and my Other Selves" also in the middle of the list.
Completing it will unlock "Good Villains Never Die" further down.
    - While running "Good Villains Never Die", select "8 clones" during the first mission to earn the "Army of Me" badge.

I wonder why they didn't just put them all near the end of the list with the other badge missions. *shrug*

  13. I think the OP was referring to the assist mechanism in general. That does not work for any PvP zone at all, not just Warburg.

You are right about why his friend was showing up as an enemy before they were teamed though. That zone is "Free-for-all". The area within your side's base is a "safe zone" against your own faction tough, which is why he originally showed up as blue until they left that area. You'd have to be on a team to continue to buff a friend outside of that area.

Even if the website shows as 9 months of Veteran time, you still have to wait for that time to pass before the badge and perks are awarded in-game.

For example, I pre-pay by the year, so my account status shows a Veteran Time of about 57 months, even though I only just now earned the badge for 45 in-game. I'll receive each badge every 3 months as time passes.

In your case, you might have just paid for your 9th month, but the actual date of your award might not be until next week or the week after. Check further down on your account info to see the date it should have been awarded and THEN contact support if you think there was an error.

I'd wager it's an artifact of your "crappy" video card not being able to run a fullscreen application in the background (especially if the fullscreen application is a different resolution as your desktop). Try running the game in windowed mode instead and it should work better for you.

I'm not sure how you have your installation set up, but this is the general shortcut you can use to make CoH open in windowed mode:
    "C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\cohupdater.exe" -fullscreen 0

Then you can simply maximize the window if you want to make it full size again. It wont get rid of the toolbar or window header, but it makes the situation more stable for multiple applications. Some say that windowed mode may even increase performance for some people. It's worth a shot.

I agree. Some people don't find that TF to be all that horrible. We run it on Freedom on a regular basis as well and it does not take very long. I'm not saying I would prefer it over the new one, but I don't see a reason to delete it entirely.

We're definitely interested in helping you, and we can even healfarm together at some point afterward as well. It looks like you have some more names to jot down for when we're ready to organize this. See everybody soon!
  18. Any account can be used on any operating system. There is no such thing as a PC account or a Mac account. both clients can be downloaded for free and you log in using the same username and password for both.

All the Mac Retail Edition really did was advertise for the new Mac Client. Adding it to your account will add the goodies that come with it, no matter which client you actually use.

    Edit:
As for your issue purchasing more addons.. check your account options for the limit for daily/monthly purchases. Raise that number and try again, or just wait until tomorrow before trying to buy more.
  19. "oh yeah" lol.

    See you guys tomorrow.

I bought my DVD edition off Amazon.com a long time ago for a really good deal. I ended up saving money by buying it actually...

DvD edition was for sale for $50
Amazon was offering $30 instant savings on first purchase if you signed up for a VISA card.
Applying the retail code added 1 month of game time (value approx $15)
For some reason, there was a 60-day time card packaged with it as well (value approx $30)

So, I basically spent $20 and received:
    - the actual unopened box with Heroclix
    - the in-game badge and cape items
    - 3 months of game time
    - a new credit card (lol)

Even if the 60 day card wasn't in the package, it still would have basically cost me only $5 for the badge, but in this case I got the badge and a month of play for free. I hope other people can find similar deals like that. Factor in the price of the free month you get for the retail code, and it might not cost a much as you think.

Just like the other slots, it should be a clone of the slot you are using at the time it's unlocked. The downside is you will never be able to edit it. lol. As long as it's a costume you like, you can edit the main one shown on the costume selection screen and still have the old one saved as a hidden 6th costume and access it with the commands with the number 5.

I would get control of the heavy closest to the base, and then throw myself on the nearest pillbox, letting it kill me (hey, debt is just another badge ). I'd then go to the next closest heavy and do the same. Then, when I went back to the first heavy, something odd happened. I would click on it, get credit for control but I wouldn't get control. I'd click again and the heavy would fade away, but I'd get credit again. Finally, it'd reappear, and this time I would really gain control. So I would get three control credits for it. I'd then throw myself at the nearest pillbox, die, and head for the second heavy. The three clicks sequence would repeat and I'd alternate between the two heavies. It only took me about an hour to get my last 150 clicks in this way.

But either way, letting yourself die is much, much faster than zoning in and out.
THIS is what I did, and it is really easy. Even if people are PvPing outside your base, you can just advertise yourself as a free kill, and when you run out from the hospital, they can't even touch you because of the PvP timer and you usually have plenty of time to gain control before it expires.

Simply let them kill you, and repeat. Even if you manage to get killed before you get control, just make sure you die next to the platform. If you open your Target window and click Actions, you can still Interact with it and gain control and credit for it that way.

Like StarGeek said, there is a server glitch that lets you gain credit more than once, so if you wanted to try to get extra credit, get the heavy and let somebody kill you on the platform, then wait a few moments for the station to "respawn", and click it again while dead a couple more times, then go to the hospital and repeat.

In short, I'm on Freedom too and find it really easy to get these badges. It's not something worth transferring for. Even getting the 100 pillboxes was not a really hard task even during peak PvP hours. People normally only bother you run into the open and/or make it public that you are just there for badges.
