City of Heroes Mac Special Edition

hey guys,

Im pretty sure that before the costume pack came out seperate from the actual mac version, you could still upgrade your pc account to work on both mac and pc and get a month free playtime as well as the costume pieces.

Is this still the case now that the costume pack has been released or does it force you to make a seperate mac account to the pc now?

nevermind, i answered my own question lol, it does let you do it.

Problem is now it wont let me purchase any more addons for some strange reason, getting message:

We're sorry, but we are unable to accept your order at this time. Please try again later or tomorrow. If you continue to have problems, you may wish to visit one of our retail partners.

Any account can be used on any operating system. There is no such thing as a PC account or a Mac account. both clients can be downloaded for free and you log in using the same username and password for both.

All the Mac Retail Edition really did was advertise for the new Mac Client. Adding it to your account will add the goodies that come with it, no matter which client you actually use.

As for your issue purchasing more addons.. check your account options for the limit for daily/monthly purchases. Raise that number and try again, or just wait until tomorrow before trying to buy more.

where is this limit thing? i plan on purchasing the rest of the addons today if i can (payday woo!)

I looked in account profile and i cant see anything about a limit.

closest thing i found was this:

30-Day Purchase Limit: $100.00 (USD) 30-Day Purchase Total: $0.00 (USD)

I should also mention i paid through paypal not the actual plaync site

also the message i got was different to what support says the limit is, there site says:

You have reached the maximum limit of serial code purchases allowed at this time. For more details on these limits, visit our Knowledge Base article for Online Code Purchase Limits.

then wait until tomorrow. see if it happens again. give it a full 24 hours before trying to purchase another.

Ahh i sorted it, no idea why but it wasnt accepting paypal again yet it worked via the regular plaync pay method.
