    Update:
    Converted to full Hero.
    Changed to an unused build.
    Spoke to Jack Wolfe (Freespec). No badge awarded.
    Spoke to Jack Wolfe (Patron respec). No badge awarded.
    Spoke to Jack Wolfe (Trial respec). Received the Stalwart Medallion.
    Spoke to Jack Wolfe (Trial respec). Earned the Statesman Star.

    Just for kicks, I decided to claim a Veteran Respec, just to see which respec gets used first.

    Spoke to Jack Wolfe. Awarded the Freedom Cross.

    It looks like the Trial respecs get used before Veteran Respecs, so I can still use it some time later. Turg will probably be happy. rofl

    So now that toon has all 6 respec badges. Either way, I still agree that it should be fixed one way or the other.

    Either way there's a fundmental problem with having the potential to get badges be based on whether or not you used respec tokens. Like I said I used one of the 3 original tokens I had back like 5 years ago. How was I supposed to know I should have not used that respec just so that I'd be able to get another badge 5 years later?
    Based on some testing just now.. I've learned the following:

    You have to burn through any freespecs you already have before the badge awards for an earned respec. I logged in with the "You have 3 respecs remaining". I know I only used 2 of them back in the day, so the 3 I had were likely 1 freespec, 1 patron respec, and the 1 remaining trial respec.

    I switched to my new 3rd build and leveled it to level 3 (you can't respec while below lvl 3), then burned through all 3 of my respecs. When I finished the 3rd one, I was awarded with the Thorn Usurper badge (3rd villain respec). Apparently I had only used 2 of them back in the day.

    My tank had used all 3 respecs back in the day, and got nothing from burning through all of them. I'm planning on trying it on my Corrupter later tonight when I finish moving her back to Heroside. It says "you have 5 unclaimed respecs" on her, so she probably has a freespec, the Patron respec, and all 3 trial respecs. I'll keep you posted how it works.

    Turg is afraid to try it because he actually claimed all his Veteran respecs as he earned them, so he's possibly got like 8 respecs to burn through just to get the badge. /e tantrum ensued. haha

    I agree. More than likely, the people responsible for installing the patch update are not the same people who update the website. Therefore, we don't even know if those people even started working yet, so there is no reason to call anybody lazy if they are not even on the clock yet. lol

    Supposedly, if somebody didn't claim their respecs way back in the day, they can apparently earn those other 3 badges on the other side. That would make the total 1201. Whether or not anybody qualifies for that is doubtful, but I guess we'll see.

    On a side note, if you Run the Katie TF again and stop after the 8th Mary (so they don't disappear), that's 8 more badges that you could have on your in-game total. Those might prove beneficial when it comes to snatching the 1250 badge in advance, depending on how many badges come with the next issue.

    Just so you are aware, this is actually a bad example because Dull Pain is not a +regen power. If you add Heal to Dull Pain, your total hp goes up, and your regeneration (hp/sec) only goes up because your regeneration percentage is still the same. Higher hp will mean more hp/sec anyway, regardless if the actual regeneration percentage went up.

    That said, this specific example wouldn't necessarily prove that Spiritual Radial Boost actually affects Regen rate unless Dull Pain was left out of the equation, or if the actual percentage rate was used instead of hp/sec.
  10. We just ran a flawless MoTin, but we missed out on the MoApex.. beat BattleMaiden in 21 minutes instead of the required 15. It was fun regardless and we can always pick it up on the next run.

    Technically, it's not really "once an hour". The next event starts one hour after the last one ended, so it depends how long the event ends up lasting, but yeah.. it's just over an hour for each of the 3 events. lol

    About the alerts.. you are right, they don't show up for some reason. If you go to the location in the zone, a small box will pop up and tell you when the next event will begin.

    LOL. I saw your circle, and I'm saying that it worked fine for me. I just got all 8 again this morning in Nova without any problems at all. I kept the badge window open when I went under the bridge and it gave me credit right when I thought it would, even on the exact bridge you circled.

    I'm not denying there might be a problem for some people, just that I haven't encountered it. Even if the spot might be misaligned, it's certainly there.

    if you are on a toon with decent damage, then it's as easy as whacking him a few times until a close pops up, then kill the clone and go after him again. Each clone increases his regeneration, so make sure you get rid of them quickly and you'll have him dead in no time.

    On toons that don't have as much damage.. resorting to the lava trick works quite nicely. The damage from the lava is faster than his regeneration, even if he has a couple clones out. lol

    Anyway.. it was smooth sailing most of the time. We had a couple Dark Miasma on the team, and combined with the Force Fields, we barely got touched... until the ambushes at the end we finally had a fluke death (probably from some stray Missile AoE). Overall it was a lot of fun and we got a couple handfuls of Incarnate Shards along the way.

    I don't remember the exact completion time, but I think we ended with only that one death.

    With the new Issue release, I have a few toons switching sides for the new badges in Ouro, so I'm not sure who will be available on Villainside at the time, so we'll have to figure that out later.

    I'd have to double check again with [Power Analyzer mk III], but I think besides their heal, they have a very high regeneration rate... which is not active while being held. Either that or it's probably their Resistance that doesn't work while being held.

    Then again, I'm mostly guessing at this point. It's been a while since I took a look at it.

    This probably explains why it took me 4 tries to get this badge. Every time i ran it, I could only find 11 out of the 12. I didn't even notice the 12th guy was probably killed.

    Probably just as good (or better depending on preference), here's something else useful I figured out recently:
    /optionset ShowVillainName 1

    That will display the name above all enemies (and apparently NPC allies) ALWAYS. This option is not available through the standard Options in the UI, but it makes it really easy to see their names from all the way down the hallway without having to spam your custom target button.

    To change your VillainName option back again, simply change it in the UI, or use one of the following commands:
    Always Hidden:
    /optionset ShowVillainName 0
    Show on Mouseover:
    /optionset ShowVillainName 2
    Show when selected:
    /optionset ShowVillainName 4
    Show when selected or on mouseover (default):
    /optionset ShowVillainName 6

    Personally, I'm starting to like it (at least when solo), so I've been keeping it on all the time, which is why I noticed it's usefulness in this particular mission.

I almost thought I didn't get the badge for the arc itself at first because I didn't realize it was awarded after the 5th mission instead of at the end of the 6th (last). I had to see it in my Recent Badge list to finally realize it. I'm glad everything finally worked out though.

    The problem with that is that it doesn't award right away after doing "1 side mission". Maybe it does only require one of them, but it seems to only award after mission 5... so when I run it on my next character, I'll probably just pick that one to pick up the extra objective for. I guess it depends on if we find out we don't get credit if the guy dies or not. I think most of us took more than one objective and/or kept him safe just to be on the safe side. haha

    I agree completely. If we were going to include badges like that, the list would be quite a bit longer... [wasn't one of the Dev's badge list at like 1400 at some point (even before GR and all the new ones were released)]?

    ...and especially if you include all the old AE badges. Without looking for them, I'd have to guess that their requirements were simply removed and/or hidden, but still in the files somewhere. That makes for quite a list! haha

    Again, I agree completely. That was my suggestion from the beginning, but apparently there is a lot more to it "behind the scenes" than that. Either way, I hope they do revisit the mechanic that awards them at some point. It only makes sense.
  23. You can do that with any number of the new NPCs that "become allies" when nearly defeated as well. I don't really see it as a bug nor an exploit. If you have a healing power and want to heal them, I don't see why you shouldn't get credit for it.

    As far as Bug Hunter goes.. besides the urban legend mentioned above, there's also the idea that you shouldn't really post details of potential exploits anyway. It defeats the purpose of helping the Devs fix the game if you are just telling everybody how to break it.

    Is This Legit?

    I've seen it a couple rare times as well. I think 3 of the 5 times that I got it, I ended up with a sound loop, but was still able to play. One time it played normal, and the other time actually did crash and I has to re-load the client.

    When I had the sound loop, I was near the end of a successful MoKhan TF, so I turned off my speakers so I wouldn't have listen to it while we finished him off, then I restarted my client myself.

    I don't do any we browsing or any crazy stuff on my gaming PC at all, so I was posative it was legit.. either part of the game or the OS anyway. (I do everything else on my laptop on the side instead).
