Answer the second: While most of my characters tend to have distinctive backgrounds, appearances, or outlooks, not much sticks out as a trademark. There are some exceptions, though.

In my realm of fan-ficcery Marty and his two good friends Ivan and Phobias form the offbeat team of The Screeching Banditos (so named because if their powers, outfits, and origins have nothing in common, why should their team name have any?). While the Banditos aren't too keen on symbols, they all do wear those black fingerless gloves as their single nod to thematic cohesion.

The only other character of mine with a real trademark is Trix , my dominator/sneakthief. Being the flamboyant sort who took up catburglary for the hell of it, the calling card she leaves after her more spectacular capers is a black card with a stylized pink fox on it. (of course if she's been hired by someone else who wants zero traces of her involvement she won't bother with a card. She's flamboyant, not stupid.)

Not bad at all! =D Your coloring and shading are das ubersweeten, if you'll pardon my spanish One nitpick: The angle of the katana's hilt and blade looks off. It looks like he's either using the flat of the blade or the blade has no edge. Also, if it's a katana, they traditionally have a curve to the blade.

To be fair, my AR-wielding main Marty makes extensive use of rubber ammo and other less-lethal weapons when dealing with most badguys (an exception being Trolls... sometimes it takes a deer slug upside the head just to get the attention of one...)
