yep. lvl 10. I think some of the higher lvl's (early teens) who have been hanging back might join us this time around.

Well next meeing is in port oakes on wednesday. Got 9 so far if everyone turns up, 10 if you come along. As long as someone else doesnt mind doing another team when needed we could run 2 teams of 5. Not sure what the chances are of 9 or 10 turning up though so i'm happy to just cross that bridge when we come to it.

Nah. They were just standing around talking nonsence. I dont mean the "joo AS'd me joo noob" type chat. Badging and people using the zone as if its pocket D isnt something I expect. Yeah I COULD just attack someone, I did, but I was outnumbered anyway. Did manage to off a blaster once another player came on. Just annoys me that certain players come in and turn the zone into a chat room.

used defiant as a change from my usual union pvp. Nothing but people standing around talking garbage. Is it always like that. Thinking I might reroll my defiant toons on union.

I have noticed not only in game play but also reading the forums that there are a handful of "Camps" as to the mentality in PvP zones.

I have heard some players/forumites in one thread say that duelling is for the arena and that it shouldnt take place in pvp zones, and then two threads down the list complaining about interference when they are dualling in a pvp zone.

Some people think ganking is a hellworthy trespass whilst others say, pvp is a free for all so anything goes. Ive heard stalkers argue that hide is their inherant power so they should be free to use it without complaint but dont like people using CM to combat it.

The point of this rambling is that, PvP has always been a hot potato and to be honest i dont think there will ever be a happy medium. but is there any real need for some of the more personnal criticisms that i see reading these forums day in day out?

It seems to be a common trend that a post is made, a few constructive replies are posted then a list of replies that are basically people picking holes in each others ideas.

Isnt that the whole reason we pay for and play this game? because there is no linearity or set way to play.

I hate bumping in to role players in pvp becasue they tend to gank using the argument that they are villains so are completely justified in their actions. But im not going to criticise them because that is the way they have chosen to play.

perhaps some people are not as encyclopedic as others or maybe people just lack the vocabulary to get their point across in a way that is not condecending to others, but then some people are just plain rude. Bridger has been away four days and ive already seen several posts which have resulted in flaming sessions.

Everyone has a different opinion about some subjects but that doesnt make them any less right. So why belittle them?

Nothing to do with PVP, people just think agreement is something worth fighting for. Btw. I doubt villain gank squads have anything to do with rolelaying, what about hero gank squads after all?

Cm is a pain for ALL AT's not just villains but heros too, when fighitn in WB. HOWEVER there are powers that other AT's have which are equally as annoying. CM makes it harder to hide, hold debuff etc. But its a primary power of the empth and hence why should it be any more different in PvP then say Stalkers being able to hide and if done correctly 3 hit any AT except maybe tankers. How is that any more fair then CM. Hide isnt the only power obviously but its a good example. Not to mention the stacking of invis that has become common in pvp. So i ask you this...

Can you wander round in PvP and get 3 hit by an enemy you didnt even realise was there, and still claim that you would refuse CM if it was offered because it effects the inherant powers of other players??

And be honest, rather then still argue the toss for arguments sake.

I thought it was pretty clear that my issue with CM is the multi stacking status protection. The additional perception isnt as much of an issue imo.

Well if it isnt breaking the game for doms lets just make ALL buffs self stack.

Had one or 2 crashes SC. Was on a pve team last night that had people crashing like mad so maybe not limited to SC.

he wasnt in the hero base, he was using his field from keeping people that he was using this tactic on from getting to the hero base to get drone assistance!

I'd say that was ok. Often I'l try to outrun a fleeing target to there base and TK them in the opposite direction.

How do you know he's trying to get people debt. I've been accused of the same thing for using TK yet its something I've never tryed to do.

Elec/Elec. I admit the elec primary isnt so hot, but I think the elec armor is really good for brutes. The scrapper was spine/regen (bet you havent seen one of those before!) which is why I think we would have been hard pushed to win, but a draw or closer loss would have been expected.

Well we have 9 atm so if everyone turns up we need to make 2 teams anyway, better 2 teams of 5, than a 4 man and 5 man team. Theres always the chance we might looe a few as well, the original team had 16 at the start and is down to about 8 or 9 now.

I remember in my early dom days thinking "I'l just keep stacking holds" and bilharzia telling me to get back because they had an empath. Btw. just last night I was teamed with a brute friend on my thermal. Even buffed and laying on heals, a solo scrapper made short work of the brute. In that 2 on 1 situation we should have at least got close to a stalemate.

I played fire/fire this week but next week will I will be on my grav/thorn.

There did seem to be a honeymoon period before people got used to dealing with stalkers. Stalkers are still tops in pvp, but most of the other villain AT's are a bit naff. I'd say hero flexibility is an issue before you even get to PPP's. You can make a lot more interesting builds with say a defener or blaster than you can with a corruptor. Corruptor pretty much forces you down the offender route.

Some people are caught up in how CM affects stalkers I'm pointing out that there are other issues. A single empath can make a dominators primary next to useless (can still use KB if you have it, whoopie!). If you just want to aggrivate other people then dont bother posting please.
