There's no need to be unhappy about the performance of Dominators in PvP I think Max's "Very unforgiving, challenging and frustrating but also very rewarding" is about right, but you can also exaggerate the problems of Dominators and forget that they have similar problems to blasters, defenders, controllers and corruptors.

What rules? PvP in CoH has no Code of Conduct and no Rules of Engagement like most MMO's that include PvP in their gameplay.So basically CoH allows nonsense like this.

Yeah I had one guy say I sucked because I'm unable to break the game mechanics to increase my damage, a regen as well. After spanking him a load of times he moaned that I just run away (ie. dont stand toe to toe where he can 2 shot me).
One thing I like about doms and pvp is it gives you a chance to develop new strategies, there isnt anyone going "you need powers x, y, and z to pwn on a dom".

Lvl 11 here. Was a pretty quick night, think we only played for about an hour tops.

Thats why I went with dark primary. Hopeing the acc debuffs the thermal self heal, and possibly some defence from the powerpools will keep me alive.

Against a /regen I would have been surprised to win with no debuffs. Just expected to last a bit longer is all. No forge yet, my corruptor is only lvl 24, I forget what level the brute was.

Cauterize would be nice but something has to go to make room for other powers (like GI for stalkers, tpfoe for base campers etc). Even without that heal I think the thermal buffs and area heal on a brute vs scrapper shouldnt result in such a clear victory.

I remember in my early dom days thinking "I'l just keep stacking holds" and bilharzia telling me to get back because they had an empath. Btw. just last night I was teamed with a brute friend on my thermal. Even buffed and laying on heals, a solo scrapper made short work of the brute. In that 2 on 1 situation we should have at least got close to a stalemate.

And for everyone else's information, I was that elec/elec Brute. Even if I was EM/Elec I just wouldn't have survived that scrapper. He just did too much damage to be healed by Marq's healing aura (he didn't have Cauterize that time.) I know my Brute's damage wasn't good but even without a 9 BI attack I should at least make a dent. This was also before the fury fix.

CM should be unstackable, pop someone with 2 CMs and that's enough for my Plant/Thorns to hop away. The Plant/ and Earth/ issue for the bunny hopping is also out of the hand.

Oops. I thought you were elec/elec. I think my main point in mentioning that fight was how a scrapper easily overpowered 2 villains which imo should have been a lot more difficult.

Its dom night 2 again, starting off in Port Oakes at 7ish (6ish for ken titus).

Maybe slot KB in lift, some people say it can break through scrapper and tank level protection, not accrobatics though. Dimensional shift might be worth looking at to phase groups of heroes for a while.

Memory may be a bit off but lets see.
By the time I got there it was maybe 4 or 5 heroes (2 tanks a blaster, a scrapper, and possibly someone else I forget or didnt see) and 3 villains including myself.
The blaster left and another scrapper came in, plus another villain turned up. So about 4-5 vs 3-4, but with only 2 people actively playing, both villains. I asked the other player if its always this bad and was told it was good earlier but some players have a knack of bringing the zone to a halt with chatter.

Those are pretty cool as well but I've found you cant have the sword drawn and use tpfoe at the same time. Not a problem though if you dont want to use tpfoe.

Well villain players arent really villains. Hero players arent really heroes. I also dont think I've ever met anyone who RP'd and PVP'd at the same time other than using snappy comments on there death/victory.

I guess some of you have a point. Sorry for loosing it people, this constant rain and 2 hours daylight tops is having a bad effect on me. I still dont see the point of using the zone as a chat room but like was pointed out, outnumbered I would have got ganked off the zone anyway. Anywho, I should have prolly just left when it was clear there wasnt anything going on I was interested in :S
