  1. Howdy folks! I've been interested in making an Earth/Fire/Fire dom, but just haven't gotten around to it yet. Now, I know most ideal dom builds strive for permadom, but I was wondering if a build built for defense would be viable and worthy of pursuit. I am not interested in using purple recipes. Here are some highlights of my build:

    45% ranged defense (with toggles on)
    29.1% aoe defense (with toggles on)
    66% accuracy bonus
    47.5% recharge bonus (without hasten on)
    Knockback Protection Mag -4 (Blessing of the Zephyr)

    Some questions I have:
    1. Is Mag -4 enough knockback protection?
    2. I was very much on the fence between Stone Cages and Incinerate. Did I make the right decision with Stone Cages? If I took Incinerate, I would have 6-slotted it with Mako's Bite. Does Stone Cages get enough utility when I can use Quicksand? Is Incinerate useful along with my plentiful ranged and aoe attacks?
    3. Is it worth it to have the Achille's Heel -Res proc in Earthquake, or would I be better off placing that slot in a power like Consume or Hasten?
    4. Is the chance for End in Stamina worth it, or would I be better off using that slot for Consume or Hasten?
    5. Will I regret having the knockback proc in stalagmites?

  3. Howdy! I was wondering which Interface slot would be more effective for a tank to take on an AV or GM. I'm thinking either Reactive with the DoT, or Diamagnetic with the 100% chance for -regen.

    Basically, does the DoT in Reactive outdamage the regen of an AV or GM that Diagmagnetic would debuff?
  4. Hey guys! I just did an ITF tonight and tried to get that team going. Unfortunately there were NO peacebringers on looking for ITF! Bummer! So, I just did an all defender/corruptor team.

  6. A peacebringer gains +DMG from each def/corr right? What if there was a team of 7 defenders/corruptors and one peacebringer? PB's get 10% DMG for each def/corr right? Adding to the fact that there would be absurd buffage and debuffing going on, would that one peacebringer always have an added bonus of 70% DMG? Is there a cap on how much a Kheldian's inherent can stack the same buff?

    I'm thinking of throwing together a team like this on Freedom for an ITF next week while on my corruptor >

    I would imagine a team of 7 scrappers/brutes/blasters/stalkers would make on Warshade feel like a god too... but yeah, is there a cap on such a buff?
  7. Thanks for the advice tektronics! I changed everything you mentioned, and made a few more slight modifications.

    1. I took 2 slots off of hover, and 1 off of weave, so that I could put 2 more slots on amplify and a slot on tough.

    2. Instead of putting the -Res proc on Radiation Infection, I put on the Neg damage proc from Touch of Lady Grey. Is this a good choice, or is it just a matter of taste? Does the damage proc even work on Rad Infection?

  8. I made a few slight modifications. I figured that I would be getting far more use out of Mutation than Siren's Song, so I swapped some powers and slots around. I'm not sure which Alpha would be best suited. I was thinking of going Cardiac so that I can more comfortably leave my toggles on and pump out attacks. Here's the revised build:

  9. Howdy! I've been reading the forums for a while now, so I've FINALLY decided to make an account! I'm interested in rolling a Rad/Sonic defender. The highest defender I've leveled is a lvl 26 cold/rad, but the leveling was mostly due to the fact that AE farms were the only teams running at that time. I want to give defenders another shot, and Rad/Sonic looks really fun!

    This is only my second time trying to work with IO's. The first time was on my electric armor/ice melee tank, in which I slotted for damage, regen, and recharge. This time, I'm trying to slot for defense and recharge. I'm guessing ranged defense is the way to go. Anyway, I am posting my build from mid's. Any kind of feedback would be much appreciated!
