Ever consider using the player base for that? I'm sure your legal department will go bug-eyed at the thought and your art department would probly still need to touch it up, but we would certainly love it, both in in having a hand in the game and seeing badges added quicker.

There is one big reason I probly won't bother to pick it up... I have no one to play it with. I know of game areas where I might be able to find an opponent teh earth reverses it rotation and the starts sing "It's a Small World"... but they are all at least a half hour drive from where I live...

That's not to say I wouldn't be interested in it... I just don't have the opportunity to investigate it.

Controllers can't control their pets. They will not accept pet commands. This is is because of balance issues, according to Positron.

You can also do:
Start Menu -> Run

Type in:
Charmap

Hit OK.

Many of those symbols will work. I'm not sure exactly which font CoH uses however.

Anyone who has made Macros know how bland they are. They are a simple grey button with the Macro name slapped across the top... most of the time not even the full macro name!

Well not anymore! With the addition of Pet controls, Gladiator matches, and the ability to edit Macros, we now have 7 Icons we can use instead of the Macro name! Here is a picture of the 7 Icons, They may look familar.

Here's how you get them (masterminds can skip down to step 4):

1) You need to do is to turn on your pet window. All ATs have this option, regardless of any pet summonign ability. What you do to activate it is to enter your game options meny. Under the general tab in the windows section there will be the option to Show Pet Window Option. PICTURE

Turn this to "Enabled". Once you have done this save your option changes. A new option will now appear on your team window, "Pets." Clicking on this will open your pet window. PICTURE

2) Your next step is to head into the arena. You will need someone else to start the match, so grab a friend or find an opponent and grab your icons on the fly!

When you are at the kiosk in the Arena, the first thing you need to do, if you haven't done a Gladiator match before, is to set up your team. In the window that opens up after you click on the arena kiosk, you will see a button that reads "My Gladiators" in the lower left corner. Click on this and choose your team form your available gladiators. Click OK when you are done and return to the event listings. Both you and your "opponent" will need to do this.

Either you or your opponent then need to make a Gladiator match. Simply click on "Create Event" and choose Gladiator as the even type in the top pull down menu. List the event (lower right corner), have your opponent join, and click "Start Event". 10 seconds later you're in!

3) Open your pet window if you don't already have it open. Most likely the window will be in Simple Mode. Just click on "Options" on the top of the window and choose "Switch to Advanced Mode". PICTURE of simple mode with pet icons on

4) Pick your icons. Your window will look something like THIS with, perhaps, no icons on the right beside your gladiators. To choose your icon, simply right click the small icon next to "All Pets" or one of your gladiators. The left icon will give you the "blast," sheild, and man, the left on will give you the bullseye, arrow, crosshairs, and hand. Select which ever one you want. If you do pick the bullseye, aka Go To, you will need to click on a location before it takes.

5) Grab your icons Simply click and drag the icon from your pet window into your power tray.

6) Repeat 4 and 5 as many times as you need. You problyshould exit the match after you get all the icons you need just so you aren't interrupted by being kicked out while typing out your macros.

7) Right click the icon you want to assign a macro to. The menu will show up that has two choices, "Remove from Tray" or "Edit". Unless you want to start over form stop one... choose "Edit"

8) Enter your macro A window will pop-up with a text entry feild in it containing some command for your pet. Simply delete that text and type in what every macro function you wish to be in there and click ok!

EXAMPLE - This is from my Peacebringer. She uses the "All defensive" icon (the Sheild) for her Dwarf Form macro (The full macro is actually "powexec_toggleon White Dwarf$$gototrayalt2 8" but it isn't all visable in the window). She also has the "blast" icon for nova and the power trays those two macros switch to also contain the "man" icon for switching back to human form.

9) Repeat step 8 for other icons.

10) Go use them! That's it! They're done!

A pretty simple little trick that can add some flare to your power tray if you don't like the boring grey-button-with-white-title macros. If you need help learning how to create macros, there are already some great guides on macros and keybinds!
