LOL @ all this talking about veng stacking....

ya we used stacked vengance but its wasnt the crutch some have made it out to be... we did 3 hour practices daily focusing on targeting, spiking, and evading we didnt just huddle up and perfect 7-8 veng....

I think our whole strategy revolved around our targeting and spiking skills (much like everyone else at the time) but also our evading skills ... we used veng stacking as a main focus as much as we used rush nuking..... we did it.... but its not what we practiced all the time and it wasnt our main strat...

Our run also started before we fought LotD its only after that match that people knew the "New LD" was for real....

Before that match we won against Sitting ducks, JFAL, and anointed brother hood as well as original sin from our server.... we were starting from the bottum up and thats how we played it.... I think we never really thought we would go all the way in the begining thats just how it happened...

And sing if you ever read this thread.... HAI! *waves*

Nice thread tho guys.... its nice to know the community is still alive.
  2. I stacked 6 vengeances on brutals mom.... powerboosted...

I was the 4th villain to 50 and on the team to first beat the Lord Recluse Strikeforce.

In the game? Did you run it with NT? IIRC NT and friends were the first to beat it, at least on Victory but pretty sure it was in game too. Also, I remember 2 TI guys got 50 in 3 days on Victory and QM got it in 5 days. So you got it in 5-6 days?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Dude they were the first to beat it... I remember reading about it..

Well Sing can make this claim. He was by far the best pvper of the best pvp sg over the past few months in Lions Den. Other sg's would gameplan around him. Founder of the Hell Raisers didnt LD fight you and how did that go for you guys.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hell Raisers is and still has been, the only SG to ever beat Tribute in a planned/balanced match back when Tribute was "king of the hill" in pvp. This was at thier "peak" in pvp, so it was no small feat. We did it down 2 members with 2 half decent "ringers" as well. We were also one of the first SG's to begin the Blaster+Empathy combos back when arena first hit test. Think it was ol' Johnny boy? Nope, but close, as they formed the combo shortly after and did what they could to lay claim to it. Tribute was a great bunch of players at the time though, so don't get me wrong. When The Death Dealers broke apart, we accepted many of thier members, such as Labrynth, into our SG and really did become quite strong for a period of time. It has been a long time since HR has been "pvp fit" or even mostly together though.

As to where HR is today....most of the best have left to....ugh....WoW I still carry the sig in remembrance to be honest..

Just about every major pvp group has abandoned villains as of this summer because of the imbalances which have not been addressed.

And people stopped playing them and moved to hero's

Just added this patch note to PvP section:

Being defeated in a PvP zone will carry debt if any of the damage to you was caused by NPCs. The amount of debt is directly proportional to the amount of damage you took from NPCs vs. how much was done by opposing Player Characters. The more damage dealt to you by NPCs means more debt when you are defeated.

    * This means that you can no longer “escape debt” by being defeated by a PC after taking massive damage from NPCs, nor will you be penalized with a massive amount of debt if you are defeated by an NPC after taking a huge amount of damage from a PC.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Awesome this means when someone TP's me onto their caltrops in mobs I am DEFINATELY going to get debt.....

Yay for [censored] griefers... TY devs!
