Quote:"32 Down On The Robert Mackenzie" by Paul GrossA captain name of Phillips
Seekin' shelter from the storm
Turned us south of Bête Grise Bay
By way of Keweenaw Point
But the wind was blowing at such a rate
We ended up driftin' north
A wave broke over a knife of rock
Six Fathom Shoal
Mackenzie she was cut in half
The stern she rammed the bow
The men were caught in metal jaws
Flames burned out of hell
Stern kept runnin' all her lights ablaze
Not one man would be found
Captain's last transmission read
32 men down
32 men down
---
We're screaming like demons, swinging from the ceiling
I got a fist full of fifties, tequila just hit me
Oh.... we got no class, no taste, no shirt, and s*** faced
We got it lined up, shot down, firing back straight crown -
Quote:The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald by Gordon LightfootThe legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
of the big lake they call "Gitche Gumee."
"Superior," they said, "never gives up her dead
when the gales of November come early!"

We've know each other for so long
Your heart's been aching
But you're too shy to say it
Inside we both know what's been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it -
This is an awesome monologue from a short-lived television show, Firefly.
[Said by a teenage girl with a cockney accent to a low-level-crime-boss]
River Tam: Sure, I got a secret. More than one. Don't seem likely I'd tell 'em to you now, do it? Anyone off Dyton Colony knows better than to talk to strangers. You're talking loud enough for the both of us though, ain'tcha? I've known a dozen like you. Skipped off home early, running graft jobs here and there. Spent some time in the lockdown, but less than you claim. And you're what? Petty thief with delusions of standing? Sad little king of a sad little hill. -
Quote:T.R.O.Y. (They Reminisce Over You) by Pete Rock & CL Smooth
When I date back I recall a man off the family tree
My right hand Poppa Doc I see
Took me from a boy to a man so I always had a father
When my biological didn't bother

Ok, here's another one...
Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery,
none but ourselves can free our minds.
Have no fear for atomic energy
'cause none of them can stop the time.
How long shall they kill our prophets
while we stand aside and look?
Some say it's just a part of it,
we've got to fulfill the book. -

A co-worker of mine is a veteran. I paid for his lunch today. When we sat down to eat, in a silly toast of sorts I said:
"I may not always respect the war, but I will always respect the warrior."
He appreciated the sentiment. -
Was kind enough to support my crazy idea and allow me to use her character in a MA arc.

You know who you are. And you know what you do.
Thank you. -
Quote:I know that my brother has a brute that needs to defeat PPD for the badge, he doesn't frequent the forums, so I'll pass this information on to him. I'm sure he'd be up for joining you when he's online.Really, my plan is to do radio missions up to a Mayhem mission every Monday night, keeping with the theme of causing Chaos. Strike forces are not out of the question, however, and neither are story arcs, but those would be dependant on both time, mood, and interest.

I suppose you can call this a forum game, but I don't want to play it with everyone, just us.
Here are the rules, you type in a verse (or a bar) from a song, and the next person names the song and the artist, then provides a verse of their own (any genre, not too obscure though).
I'll go first:
You're a very sexy girl
That's very hard to please
You can taste the bright lights
But you won't get them for free
Name that song (and artist)! -
Petition for it. Some accounts don't get it automatically. Seems like a bug.

This one is just flat out wrong:
No "travel power" race from PI to the Storm Palace.

Her laptop refused to visit any site that required SSL. The solution (after quite a while of beating around the bush)...
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
Go friggen figure. -
