As a side question, is the 6% to hit IO better than a 9% accuracy set bonus? I just realized I could drop a 4th LoTG and grab that IO if its better.

Its not an AV killer now, but it can be. As Werner pointed out, defense is key. Focus on sets that offer typed defense (smashing, lethal, energy, negative, fire and cold) Kinetic Combat, Aegis, Eradication are a few that come to mind. Secondary focus should be on HP, Regen and Endurance.

Willpower doesn't need soft capped defense to kill AV's. My Fire / WP was built to be a solid general purpose scrapper. He has around 30 - 32 defense to all types and I am 6 for 6 on my AV fights with no temps or inspirations. I know that perfect streak won't last, but it does show that he is quite capable.

I have a AV killer build on mids that gets his defense to around 40 % but I'll probably never try it live cause I'm pretty happy with him as my "Jack of all trades, master of none" type scrapper.

To be fair, the book is ALWAYS better than the movie. Seriously, has there ever been a movie based on a book that turned out BETTER than the book? I can't think of one and I'm a movie and book junkie. I've read several hundred, if not thousands, of Fantasy/Sci-fi books over the years, and watched many more movies than that. I am a fanatic for both. Anyone who both reads books and watches movies knows that the book is always better (heck even the novelizations of movies is usually better), but both can be great. They are two completely different things that entertain in completely different ways.

I would normally agree, but personally I thought the Lord of the Rings movies were "as good or better" than the books. Even if in a different way.
