Got the Solo build Respecced and up to 47.9. Might have gotten to 48 had it not been for serversplosion.
-
I didn't forget about this guy, but I did have some other things come up that kept mebusy, one of which is trying to fix his slotting. I don't want him to be a pity spot/Veng bait on the STF.

Quote:I do almost the same thing with my Blaster's Solo build, except that since my Primary is AR I can't drop both bombs and then nuke, so I just drop TB, then pull back for a timed FA.Its a ghostable nuke. I loved it on my ele/dev.
Ok want to see a massive BOOM with a screen full of orange numbers?
Using any ghost like power, walk up, Drop Time bomb, count to about 6, drop a trip mine, and que your nuke. Anything less than EB's are chunky salsa.
The other option is: become your very own rolling nuke. Use TB on one spawn, use your T9 primary on the next, TB on the next, etc.
Also there just isnt anything quite as cool as dripping a time bomb on invasion weekends/october.
Reason I currently don't have it: Im a team player that is working on healing badge (cause my ele/dev toon is my main badger).
P.S. MA has made TM and TB less useful since everyone in it is generally more impatient, and doesnt want to give you time to setup awesome pyrotechnics. And no I'm not bashing MA, just giving one other reason my main build doesn't have TB. My alt build is a total solo build, so i got as many "nukes" as i can fit. -
Alright, new solo build:

Damn it, I've seen Mids work on the new board. What am I missing? -
Is one amazing writer.

Quote:Not only that, but you can swap between missions with ease. Run a level 40s mission in Dark Astoria, then fly back to Kings and throw does with the Skulls. So wait...essentially, after I16, I can team with anyone, any time, in any combination of levels? There will be no more trying to finagle keeping my usual team in the same level range so we can all play together every week?
AWESOME.
One thing that this does is keep folks from bridging. Since everyone is one level lower than the mission holder, they can no longer have a level 46 sidekick a level one on a level 50's mission, since both the 46 and the 1 will now be 49. -
The only missions we won't review are the ones that are obvious farms.

Quote:Currently, listeners can go to the Archive page here and download the most recent episode of any of our shows. However, the episodes are only kept up for one week, and then replaced, so if you have a review scheduled (and I will be posting here which reviews are up for each episode) you have to be quick. I am currently trying to figure out how to get my own site set up so I can have several episodes at once.Wonderful idea. Is there any way to access recordings of the show? I'm in Europe so listening live might be an issue.
You say there are three of you doing this. Does that mean that solo arcs are not suitable?
Eco
As far as solo arcs go, given our schedules it's likely that while we will review together, we will probably be running arcs separately. Whether we team or not will largely be dependent on what else is going on when we choose to run the arc, though author suggestions will certainly be taken into account. -
Credit where it's due, that name was one of several suggestions by Rasta. Humorous note, it was when he tried to advertise on his solo show that we realized it may be difficult for many of our other DJs to try to pronounce. I just figured the 'A' would be silent.

In a world overflowing with review threads, three players take a path less traveled...
Admittedly, this is a late entry to the review game. At this point, the Heavyweights have already been established, and are on their second and third threads. If someone wants to jump into the game now, they have to do something different, something to set them apart.
Aentertainment Tonight is a new snow on KJSR, a radio station that started right here in the City of Heroes. It is an on-air review show for AE arcs, where listeners get the opinions of not one, but three reviewers, DJ Rastafari-Man, DJ WRider, and myself. This gives listeners the chance to get multiple opinions, from a couple of different views. For those that are interested, the submission form can be found here. The show begins August 20th at 7PM Eastern, and will air weekly. -
Hm. Looking at the Ranged Defense sets, those are all in the sixth slot, However, the biggest bonuses come from powers the Solo build already has six slotted, save for Caltrops.
It looks like I might not need to bother slotting Body Armor, since I only loose 3.2% resist to S/L. May drop a -KB Enh in there instead.
So, now I'm thinking build toward Ranged Defense in my Solo, and Recovery/Recharge in my group build. That sound Viable? -
I see your avatar wolfie. If you are primarily using Quick Reply, you have to refresh the bage before you see it for some reason.
-
The plan was insane, the technology for both sides was rediculous, the action scenes were unbelevable, and many of the lines were downright horrid.
In other words, they nailed GI Joe for me. I was not disaspointed, and will probably watch it again. -
Another thing: I'll admit I don't know a lot about IO sets, which ones are good for a Blaster, aside from apparently Positron's Blast?
-
Actually, this is still an SO build mainly because I've yet to get around to buying the IOs. Most of the powers that are siz slotted are done for set purposes.
I actually picked Time Bomb over trip mine because I'm unlickly to plant more than one explosive at any one time, either toe bombing on a team with Trip Mine, or setting Time Bomb solo because I can set it, pull back, and use a cone attack timed for the blast.
Actually, the recharge in Maneuvers ARE End Redux, I goofed in putting the Mids together.
Putting the Stealth IO in Sprint instead is an interesting idea, usually I take Sprint off my trays as soon as I hit 14, so I never thought of that. -
Haven't gotten started leveling tonight, but I did manage to get a thread started to try to repair McGavin's two builds in order to try to make the rest of this easier. If you're interested in looking it over, it can be found here.

My AR/Dev Blaster is on his way to 50 at this point, and along the way I managed to mess up not one but BOTH of his builds. With the consideration that I enjoy team play, while finding them often on the scarce side, one build was for Group/AoE damage, and one was for maximum Stealth and Single target burst damage. Since there are two builds, rather than put the full export from Mids, here are just the links:
Group build: Primary focus of AoE damage, with some team support (the leadership powers) Personal safety is a lower concern, because of higher probability of melee/support characters.
Solo build Primary focus, Stealth mobility and Single target burst damage. Defensive capability in greater demand
A couple of notes:
1) The levels of the slots are very likely NOT ACCURATE. Those two builds were reverse engineered from the current appearance at level 45. I DO NOT remember when I actually put them in, just that that is how they look currently.
2) I have already become aware of Stealth/Cloak being mutually exclusive. This is the first thing I plan to respec out of.
3) Flight is the preferred travel power in both cases. -
You didn't miss anything Blue, this is still going on until McGavin hits 50.
-
Nice to see folks so eager to jump in on the TF. Managed to get to 46.1 tonight.

Oh cool, that answers a question I've had for a while, I think. I wanted to know if we could pick different colored powers for each costume, and if they're offering a token per costume slot, it seems to indicate that yes, it will be a possibility.
