Personally, I throw out every aspect of the game that has anything to do with Experience or Influence/Infamy. Funny enough, that included any and all interaction with Wentworth's from the get-go.

Guess that means no 'Guess the release date' thread.

Quote:All the items will go into the Storage tab that already exists, but influence will more than likely go back where it came from - your wallet, if you have room for it. There's simply no mechanic for storing inf on the market, and I doubt one's going to be made just for this reset.Umm, guys debating what will happen to influence above the cap, did you read this? Everything basically remains on the market, stacked just as it was, but effectively unbound as bids or items for sale.
If a player has 8 billion stored in bids for level 53 IOs, the bids will be canceled, and the infamy will remain in a stored state on the market; you're basically bidding 2 billion for a place holder, and the place holder can't be filled. Players that have multiple bids at 2 billion in a single stack might want to diversify, but they were silly to create a single stack above the INF cap in the first place, because you'd run into the same problems if you wanted to withdraw regardless. -
There's actually plenty of room. Heck we're still short a couple of folks before we can even run either of those Task Forces.
-
Well, Ny's post doesn't say, but the entire thing will be reset to zero day of (everything you have will be set to 'stored') which should clear out the 'last five sold' stat. Hopefully, that means there's a chance to lower some of the things that have had thousands for sale. Especially those that did have a bunch bidding, but clearly less than the inflated prices it was set to.

When I first clicked over to these boards they were down. Now that I see this and the GR official release date, I can see why there was an explosion.

I'm sure there will be plenty of 'surprise' given the folks that have already shown an interest.

Wait, wouldn't I be included in the 'some of the other DJs if I was?

(Alternate title: Task Force 63, assemble!)
Yup, I've got another themed Task Force idea. I've been sitting on this one for a couple weeks, because I wasn't sure about the reaction I would get with this one. However, I got a couple of positive responses when I mentioned it in Jello Shooters last night, so I'm going to run with it.
This time it's a simpler premise than some of the themes I've run in the past, but there is going to be a requirement for it. If you want in on this run, you're going to need to have the Science pack purchased. See, for this run we will be gender flipping our characters. Essentially, we're running this under Rule 63 of the internet. Oh, and since we've seen this come up already, if you have a -man and -woman characters, you can't just bring the -woman and call it good, you'd need to make her a him to count for this one.
The actual TF in question will either be Moonfire or Hess*, depending on which one the team would prefer. Either way we will start gathering for the TF around 8:30 PM Eastern this Saturday (6/26).
Team:
1) M I Abrahms
2) Sooner
3) Mr. Grey
4) Sokyoku
5) bamaHulkers
6) Janlee
7)
8)
*Moonfire is level 23-28, Hess is level 25-30. Meeting point will probably be at Moonfire, since it's close to the trainer and the drop off point for SG teleporters. -
Never have I been so glad that magic went awry.

Quote:When was Red Skull a god?Recluse being buffed by the towers is like Red Skull empowered by the Cosmic Cube. Any other day, Captain America can win against him.
Quote:Not in this game. By this game's mechanics, Cap wouldn't be able to solo the actual Red Skull ever, just make due with a gimped EB robot simulation. Nor would he be able to fight Toad. Or Stilt Man. Or the Walrus. -
No, my rationale is, the game lets you be Thor NOW, but you can also play as Cap if you want. You even mention that there are ways for people to solo AVs at full power. These are the Thor Heroes.
-
After thinking about it for a bit, you're actually right. Rularuu would be closer to Galactus. A better example would be Thanos (death related god-like being) and the Infinity Gauntlet (item of near infinite power; I.E. the Towers) Going by Johnny's example, with the Gauntlet he's a team worthy challenge. Without it, he should punk out to Spiderman one-on-one.
-
Because he was the first natural Hero that came to mind. You can substitute Nightwing or Green Arrow or even the Question and the point is the same. Not everyone that plays this wants to be Superman, some of us prefer Heroes that have actual challenges to face.
-
-
Yup. In fact it still only requires three people to start, and can be beaten with that number se well.
-
Since this is mentioned already, if you haven't seen the spoilers for what that is, it's worth it to let your potential team know that you DON'T know and don't WANT to know, until the game shows you. It's one of those reveals that's definitely worth being 'surprised'.

Sorry man. Katana kinda got the short end of that stick.

Quote:It's better than that. He was threatening because he:But to send a tell to a complete stranger and demand that they PL you just cuz they are a level 50. That defies any sort of logic I can come up with for "weird" mentalities. And to threaten you on top of it.
A) wasn't invited to a full team
B) wasn't invited to a full team in the middle of a Task Force
C) wasn't invited to a full team in the middle of a Task Force with a minimum level requirement much higher than the character he was playing. -
They weren't all made available across the board. The reason given was that the Broadsword model's handle was two short to be used in Katana's two handed grip.
