History of FUSION

The history of F.U.S.I.O.N. dates back to the 1147 AD Second Crusades - The Second Crusade was organized by Louis VII, King of Spain and Conrad III, King of Germany, but it was the church and a secret group of priest-mages that believed technology would bring light to the world and insisted that the leaders force this will upon all nations. The invention of the Trebuchet by Sir Ralph Payne-Gallwey (a secret member of the mages) in 1903 was a direct result of this groups impressive knowledge of science and mathematics.

An up and coming scientist from India (and secret member of this ancient group), Doctor Sednya Green was the original proponent of the Manhattan Project in 1939. He believed Fusion, rather than fission would make the ultimate weapon to stop the Nazis. His lifes work broke the code on creating this reaction but was stolen by a competing doctor named Isidor Rabi. Rabi hid Greens work, and convinced the American government to utlize a fission reaction and support his findings over Dr. Greens. Green sat dejected and demoralized and in 1945 broke from the group of scientists with vengance in his heart.
Green began working as a government contractor in the secret Area 51; when in 1983 he had contact with the Rikkiti Homeworld (only found in documentation later at his house). The American government lost contact with him and assumed he was murdered or kidnapped by mysterious forces. It was not until 1991 that the CIA placed him as a possible link in weapons manufacturing and sales to Iraq. By 2010, the name of the group was being whispered in close terrorist circles around the globe. F.U.S.I.O.N. would become synonomous with death. Anyone not making payments to this group or in some cases just having dealings with said group were never seen again. Rumors of extreme Cyborg technology ran like electricity through the underground terrorist organizations of the world.

In 2010 two immortal cyborgs only known as the WARFACE project surfaced under the covert guidance of Dr. Green. The F.U.S.I.O.N. facility was found destroyed with both cyborgs and Dr Green missing....

One WARFACE cyborg later surfaced in Paragon City and began to do heros work as he searches for Dr. Green and answers as to his creation while the other ended up working with Ghost Widow in the Rogue Isles.

Ghost Widow sent Warface and a strike team deep into the jungle islands in Nerva to assault the temples infested with CoT. Once the CoT were destroyed and their bodies burned......WARFACE set about installing one of the most massive bases ever seen in support of Ghost Widows designs.

WARFACE shortly thereafter recruited a virtual army of the most dangerous super villains in the Rogue Isles. He rules this group with an iron fist and failure is dealt with showing no mercy.

Looks like I broke the system, lol. Currently in contact with the webmaster, they are working on a fix. Guess I shouldnt have used my ugly cyborg face, it broke their computer

Im not going to pile on your growing load with my characters........ but your artwork style is very cool. You have an eye for really putting a personality in a drawing!

You have real talent. And a real solid knowledge of how to do hands.....which I know I for one am lacking.

Depending on the details, I might be up for it - if it's an actual multi-hero rumble, though, I might hesitate, if only because I have so little practice in drawing that kind of thing. I'd hate for one of my first attempts to be something someone paid for, even at a discount.

This game is so confusing to me! All these secret identities and men with girl avatars and girls with men avatars....and some with hamster and lemur avatars...sheesh.


Looks like Dirt said she would whoop it on. I tried to get her to do the pose like naked twister, but she wants to be all professional and stuff...........

However I run contests on my server whenever possible...........as I have ADD and get bored quickly. There is another secret forum to these boards that are working out some big time olympics. As that comes to fruition, I imagine on my server I will run the villainside portion sometime next year.

You are first on my list to hook up the winner, as I really dig your style. As things unfold on the plan for the olympics, I will get in touch with you and all of your ---sugar and spice and everything niceness.

Well if Dirt cant hook me up with the piece for the Silver Age Comic Contest, I may be coming your way brudda!

-Though one question stuck in my mind after looking at this. How the Heck does States get that rubber Spandex suit on his body. Wouldnt want to wash his socks.

Recently.......like the last two days? It keeps saying wont connect. Worked four days ago. Did hyper shift their web addy and CBC not picking it up?

I upgraded to CBC 2.0 and still no difference.

I can login to hypercomics just find normally....but through CBC no luck.

I should shower, I feel trollish(/em teary eyed look)...........lol



Now we know the meet and greet is going on........but for all of us poor people.........we will try and have our own fun!

Anyways........my SG in tribute to I11 Flashback, FUSION SG on Protector is hosting a Silver Age Costume and Trivia Contest (details below)

The top 4 winners (one male villain, one male hero, one female villain and one female hero) will receive a piece of art from my group (one way or the other). Inked drawing of them conducting a team fight........

Anywho, I am perfectly willing to commission it, I try to do this sort of thing often for my SG or winners of contests we hold on protector.

However, in the interest of TRYING.......and (on my knees here) if there is anyone that would like to do it as a cool FREEBIE.......I would probably worship you forever........or at least until they shut down the game

If no one volunteers I am perfectly willing to pay------again when my wife isnt looking

1. SILVER AGE COSTUME CONTEST

FUSION SG will host a SILVER AGE THEMED Costume Contest for both heroes and villains with four categories:

1. Silver Age Hero Male

2. Silver Age Hero Female

3. Silver Age Villain Male

4. Silver Age Villain Female

The costume must reflect the "Silver Age" Time Period. Generally the Silver Age was thought to begin in 1956 comics.

Winners of each category will win: 1. 1.5 million infamy or influence and 2. (5) recipes to include a rare and 3. (1) costume recipe



AND



All winners will have their pictures taken and a commision will be place by MCG Warface to an artist for a Silver Age Rumble.



2. SILVER AGE TRIVIA CONTEST

FUSION SG will host a SILVER AGE Trivia Contest for both heroes and villains with ten questions.

RULES: NO CHEATING AND LOOKING ON INTERNET/GOOGLE
Top 3 get 1. 1.5 million infamy or influence and 2. (5) recipes to include a rare and 3. (1) costume recipe

A sticky would probably be a bit more tacit approval of commissions than the Mods want to deal with(sort of like how we don't post rates on the boards). I've been meaning to write a short FAQ for my own website on the subject, though.

PLAYERS GUIDE FOR THE ART WHOOORE?

No all those comments make sense. I just didnt know what the official legal issues are.

I imagine two different scenarios as far as the character made by you.

1. A COH character in which NCSOFT owns the rights (now anyway)

2. One you dream up.

Not being a LAWYER type.....but knowing when something seems like it could be touchy...........

If you commission and purchase a piece of art to be drawn, painted, whatever of your character, do you own the rights to it?


If you do, I still think you should be required to recognize the artist.......as well as get his or her permission before posting it or sending it into fanart like the ones that used to end up in the back of the comic book.

However, I have no clue......what is

1. The legal limits/requirements

2. The moral obligations (if thats the correct descriptive words) of those that commission the art and post it or submit it for display.

Ill never forget when my 12 year old daughter made her first two zombies...........named Football face 1 and Football face 2.

Hmmmmmmmmmm would the winners (2 male, 2 female, hero and villain) of a big costume contest were holding on the protector server interest you? The contest is a tribute to I11 Flashback and Silver Age Comic theme?

I was thinking a shot of male and female hero vs male and female villain in their OLD SCHOOL costumes as one of the prizes.

If you are interested let me know, maybe it will get the creativity flowing.

Actually I heard they might have this fixed on test. I need to go TEST it myself :P

I am actually excited to see this. I think this will be a good thing provided the game gets a plus up of live GMs to handle issues and deal with bugs.

I guess I wasnt very well rounded in my comic book readings. Other than the very well known ones, I only read Deaths Head, and anything Dark Horse

I got most of em.......but there are a few I couldnt figure out. Some were VERY good!
