Hi all!
I'm coming back to my main character after a serious bout of alt-itis and am looking for answers to some questions. I've looked at the guides under the stickies, but most are quite a few issues old.
1. Aside from the set bonuses and obvious price differences, what would be the advantage of slotting Numina's vs Doctored Wounds in the big powers (Recon, DP, Int and IH)
2. I do have the Numina's +Regen currently slotted in Health from advice from a long time ago. Is that still the best place to put it or would FH be a better place?
3. Is weave worth the extra power pick for a Regen or do most use it as a parking spot for LotG?
4. I'm using mostly Crushing Impact sets in my melee powers, does anyone use other sets (aside from the purp melee set) in their attacks? How does it affect your damage output?
5. Does anyone have a guide that is not 4-5 issues old?
6. I currently have the Spiritual Radial Boost slotted (the rech/heal one) Since Regen is so clicky, am I right in assuming that would be the most advantageous?
Thanks for any advice you can give. -
Don't forget to pull out the back up battery on your modem if you have the digital voice one like I do. Otherwise, pulling out the power cord won't do anything.

No one else notices this? I also see it on my scrapper...

Quote:How does one deciper the netgraph output? I mean, nice short green lawn is good, but what does one with tall green spikes every 30 sec mean? What do the red/yellow spikes mean? How does one determine if the output they see is with their computer or their network versus a server issue?Your computer is a bit on the weak side, but for a start you should update your graphic drivers.
And can you be more explicit regarding the lag, and how you are observing it.
E.g. if you use the command /netgraph 1, what does the output look like? A nice green 'lawn' or are the red/yellow spikes?
And does the lag also occur if you are solo inside a mission?
I've been playing since I-1 and never could find an explanation on what I was looking at. -
Hi all!
I'm playing a new KM/Elec Brute and have a question about a couple of the buff bar icons and tips that are showing. My brute has flight as her travel power which she picked up at level 6 since she has her vet badges. She currently has both Swift & Lightning Reflexes slotted with one Flight SO.
When I right click on the Swift or LR icon on her buff bar, both show a bonus to running speed (+4.20 mph), but for flight it shows a negative flight speed (-5.01mph). When I look at my enhancement screen, it shows the correct bonus for flight and when someone posts the power in chat and you right click it shows up correct. Is this just a tooltip typo or is there a bug that actually takes away the flight speed? The base speed was recently buffed, maybe that has something to do with it? Does anyone else show this oddity?
Thanks! -

I wasn't sure where to post this, so I will also post on the Technical Issues forum.

I tend to use a layered approach when protecting my computer:

My two cents:
Obviously this is a middle ground between "how it used to be" and "how it is now on Live." Despite a substantial amount of rational arguments in favor of scrapping the change altogether and reverting back to the old system, the rednames seem adamant on shaking things up for god knows what reason...

To reiterate my original statement about farming Task / Strike Force and Trial statements for RMT purposes and to echo Positron's follow up statement; the reason for the change to these missions is to curb the following behavior:
8 people start a Task Force.
7 people log off and allow the 1 character that's a strong solo build to solo to the end.
The 7 other people log on just before the finish.
Complete the mission and 8 people obtain Pool C rewards for the work of 1 person.
The above behavior is something that we are not allowing to continue.
We understand that there is more work that can be done on these missions. We appreciate and value your feedback on that front.

Why don't you make it so that those 7 people don't get the reward because they have not been on the tf/sf long enough? You have that coding in for people who join teams in the middle of a mission, why not employ it for TFs? If a person is not logged in for 6 of the 10 missions (or whatever ratio you want to use) have it not reward them with anything. If someone is forced to log out because of power outages or husband/wife aggro, then they have more to be worrying about than getting a reward for a tf/sf. -
Just out of curiosity, why did you make the choice to have everything but the Friends list on? I would think that the safer course would be to have everything turned off and have each player decide if they want to have information displayed. Since the commonly held perception is that only a small minority of players post/look on the forums, wouldn't you be safer letting players choose to turn them on rather than having the majority scream and yell about how their privacy was violated and that they had no idea this was going to happen?

The least they could do is have a credit card required, it would be a little tiny deterent for RMT toons then. I do like the idea of limiting functionality on trials though...
