  1. Some new goodies incomming.

A nice thing would be a harder date for the GR expansion :-)
  2. First of all, Congrats on 6 years.

Secondly, 2am in for morning Sydney time on a school night is a bit much, even for Australia's 3rd most powerful 2nd rate superhero.

Given that the pool of Aussies (and maybe kiwi's as well, but NO TASMANIANS!) is small, is it worth a special online meetup for Antipodeans?

It would be nice, we will bring vegimite sandwiches and real beer, promise!
  3. How extensive was the Ritki war. Was it focused on Paragon City or was it global?

And how common where superheroes outside of America before the Ritki War? Was there a large population in Soviet Union, Europe and Asia?
  4. JB HiFi in Parramatta Westfields has time cards (and even more supprising - Lineage II!). Note plural!

There is 2 JB HiFi in Parramatta, so I will check to see if the George st has one as well, if JB are stocking them, this is a good thing!

  5. Ask Agent Ruby:

I currently use Ubuntu 8.10 (and run the game via Cedega). Is there a low end card that you recomend for us linux hippies?

I currently use an ATI x1300 that i got with my dell. I do use MS Vista as well and the Raedon x1300 very vista unfriendly (especially with the driver that dell shipped). Not playing bleeding edge games, but I would like to turn the bling up under COMPIZ and AERO to 11 :-)

    Thanks and regards
  6. How about:

    <ul type="square">[*]Trainers[*]Vendors and[*]Wentworth / Black Market representatives?[/list]
Make the base more functional. Even Star War Galaxies had that in their player towns.

  9. [ QUOTE ]
    I'm in Australia.
I rang EB Games, to be advised that they do NOT stock the time cards anymore, ie, they have discontinued them.

I also rang QV software, who advised me to ring EB Games...
QV software also suggested some other suppliers (who I contacted &amp; found out also do NOT stock the game time cards), and then suggested I try another supplier (that is a 9 hour return drive away from my town).

Note that every supplier I contacted in my own town happily advised me that they had World of Warcraft time cards

I've already posted this issue in another thread, so I will halt my rant right here.

My previous post that Toys R Us in Parramatta was stocking Game Cards is now obsolete. I must have been the only person buying them.

No retailer in Parramatta (2nd bigest city zone in Sydney) are stocking these cards.
  10. Ok..here is the hardware specs....Mac Mini is out :-(

    (From Macworld, with thanks)

System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later, Intel Core Duo processor, 1024MB RAM, ATI X1600, Nvidia 7300 GT or ATI X3100 graphics, and 2.9GB hard disk space. You’ll also need an active Internet connection in order to play.
  11. Great news!

Will the Cider version require a dedicated graphics card, as I have an oldish Mac Mini (core duo) and that has an intel graphics chip.

Just the right thing to run an alt account on!

BTW, Cegada runs CoH very well, for a while I ran it on Linux as Vista and Dell where conspiring against me. It runs faster than it does under VISTA!
  12. EB in Sydney Australia (and Canberra ACT) do not have the game cards.

However, Toys-r-us do stock the, I paid $40 for one and $20 for another, both 60 day cards
  13. I for one welcome our new Dev overlordss....

I like this...a lot! Rest XP done right and a reason to log a toon off!

30 days is about right...I have a lot of themed toons where i have no interest in getting all the badges...Trollskin Banker for one is only ever going to get his Banker badge! And if I get a City Banker bowler hat......JOY!!!!!

However, the devs dont go far enough:

Logging out in Vanguard Base: Peacekeeper or Peaceforcer!
Logging out near a group of Hellions: Bogun!
Logging out inside Aeon Corp building...Scientist!
Logging out in the Longbow Store: Rent a Cop!
Logging out near the Lost: Derro!

Hours of fun for the whole family!
  14. I suppose my question on Cimeroria is one outsdie gameplay and more on history.

Yes i know this is a superhero game, and all aspects are seen through a 4 colour prism, but some of what I have seen is rather .....disquieting.

Take the name Imperious. This, in context is ok as a name. The person who has taken the name would have an "Imperial poise or manner".

As a roman name, this does not work. The word Imperial, and Emperor, both derive from the term Imperiator or general. If it was before Gaius Julius Caesar, the term was an honourific bestowed by legions on successful leaders (and of cause after Ceaser during succession wars and other crisis). Imperious may have been a term used by romans, but not as a cognoman (nickname). It would have been persumtious for anyone to take the name, epecially if there was still a Rome, espcially if this is Hollywood Rome (generally reflecting imperial period) , based on the uniforms and costumes. Our main contact would most likely be named Macus Julius Imperiator, or Imperiator for short.

More to come..batrly low on modem!
