Now lets see you do Kronos titan!
Just messin. that is 6 kinds of awsome though. Very well done I would like to echo the sentiments of others on here asking for better pictures. Heck I'm heading to the DC Meet and greet so if you're anyway close to that, lemme know. I'll bring my camera.

nah, I live in southern British Columbia. Thanks though, I really do need an actual camera. -
I JUST popped this into the city scoop request thread. So great timing xD
I'll try those programs out. Hopefully they have all the parts I used (I'm scared to think I might have megablock pieces in there, so I might have to replace them with something) -
Here's the original thread:

This is a RV heavy mech I built out of LEGO chose which ever pic you think looks best (none of them look the greatest, my phone has a crappy camera)

Unless it means breaking a lego piece to get another piece to fit into it, it isn't off limits to lego. I have seen Lego pros do some things to the bricks.
This is a great piece and shows your sculpting creativity. It takes skill to make something reconizable like that and I should know seeing how I've been a collector since 1977.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well there was no super gimping or breaking of bricks, I basically took those special pieces (the ones that are angled to put bricks at 90degrees to the attached brick) put some curved parts on it and built from those, attached the constructed parts to pivots on both sides of the base torso, lined them up at an angle, set up some anchor pieces to lock said structure into place. I use some Technic parts on the inside so the arm joints are really solid to the torso, and just shell the rear with lego parts before mounting the tail piece to the frame. I use more 90degree parts on the bottom of the torso structure to set up a pivot point for the waist, which is set up as a perpendicular structure to the body(oh boy does it make things easier) The heady is mounted on a... swivel thingy, which was carefully put inside the special "hole" built with the curved pieces from the first steps... I could go on, but this thing has to many parts. -

very nice, any chance you could post some build instructions?
[/ QUOTE ]
This thing is build with some self invented techniques that I don't believe Lego Factory would recognize(especially in the construction of the upper body), so no official build instructions. Besides, some of the parts on this thing are from old exo-force kits which I don't believe are even stocked at the moment anyways.
oh yeah, and thanks for the comments guys -
... out of LEGO. This what happens to me when I have spare time. I tried to get this as accurate as possible with the parts I had. It is rather colour accurate and completely poseable. . . Please do pardon the quality of my images, My lil' bro was there and my phone isn't a great camera.

I finished my train engine and it turned out ok. I am not completely happy with it, but I just couldn't find the right items to use.

One thing I did figure out was a way to make thin walls using 'modern picture frame' from wal details and cubical.
I probably won't keep it since it doesn't fit into my base theme.
[/ QUOTE ]
may not fit with your base, but it will mine. I'll make sure to tinker with this later, put it near the base's factory/warehouse area. that said, I do like it. -

Shadow Knight with her Nictus Sword and Shield
*squeeeeeeeeeeeee!*
I am in love with how this outfit turned out with the Nictus stuff! The Head Tendrils worked good too. Gives the dark tendril outlines for my head and makes the eyes glow with Nictus power.

bah, I was with you on Pinnacle when you were braggin about getting it, now I'm sad I didn't see the moment. Looks brilliant though! Great job -
it's a matter of the large but rather skewn about and "disorganized" 35man team, actually.
-
good issue. Nice costume set! new it would have all kinds of parts
and the comic was got a good chuckle out of me this time.
and that screenshot O_o -
Excellent. Now all you have to do is usurp our current art department >
-
Lol. Pretty funny comic this time
-
Yes. Yes you have.
You ow Phil 4 now. Favors are a quadratic relation ship in the favors owed formula when pressed against mistakes like this. it's very scientifical, you see. -
I thought that was "Phil the fixer"

An A3 scanner for 90 bucks? .... link please, because ... nowai. Normally 11x17 scanners go for over 400 in stores when you can even find them. I got mine online for 150ish, and it's good enough that I don't mind having to clean up the b/w (it does excellent color, but black lines not so well).
[/ QUOTE ]
I got it a while ago, but let me find the link...
er...
it's a PHOTO RX595. it actually costs $130(I must have gotten it on sale at the londonDrugs cause it cost me about $100. er $94.99). And it actually has a scan size of 9"x12", so my mistake. D:
... carry on -

After listening to a few of you on here I've decided to get my own 11 x 17 scanner. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find "cheaper" ones. And what the difference between different DPI are and can I control the DPI?
Weird questions I know, but I have no idea when it comes to anything you plug into the wall!
Thanks!
[/ QUOTE ]
you should be able to. DPI is essentially the resolution of the scan. It will be translated into a bigger pixel map with bigger DPI settings. As for cheaper ones... I wouldn't go for. I've not boughten a good scanner for under $50. One that I bought for $40 from some company(probably compaq or something crap) doesn't work cause the drivers it comes with aren't actually compatible with the scanner. even then, supposedly the thing shuts off for no reason.
In all the scanner i've used, I'ld go with something from Epson. They've had a good "tilt" between quality, price, and utility. The "all in one" scanner from them cost me $90, but it can print CDs, Paper, photo copy, photo print, has a canvas mode, and it does all these things superbly. comes with some "fluff" software however. -
Sweet. Seeing all kinds of shiney new faces entering the redname roster. Welcome to the forums!
Don't be afraid to post, for real. We like active rednames, whether we come off as not so in our replays is non-of-the matter. Hope to see you around here, and in game -
Welcome to our Forums, sunstorm!
I wish you luck around here. Despite pre-conceptions, we really do appreciate devs who are active around here. Whether we seem spaztic or not >_>
And I dunno... if you say it's nemesis plot? how would it be a nemesis plot? he doesn't just "reveal them" like that. Or wait, maybe nemesis knows that I know that he knows that I that he knows that I know.... *Explodes* -
Awesome stuff! Pin-up girl really does make a great character for the artz. The collection is growing nicely there
-
I'ld rather walk over caltrops then Slo-mo runningman over them. But that's just me . . . And it would act as it's own power, no? kinda like you can't have fly and hover on at the same time. Though ya. Going through and putting new animation variables in would be... a hastle... as this system wasn't designed to flexible.

I'm all for it. I mean /signed
We're just arguing plausibility here. Unfortunately us suggestion-forumers have grown pessimistic to changes over the years, heh :P
