see ya there
been trying to adapt plan to make tanks more welcome, since the new raid is supposed to be a more all AT thing, or was that STF? -
[ QUOTE ]
Ill be there (hopefully) with either my stoner tank or my elec/elec blaster. Lemmie know if you need either.
[/ QUOTE ]
Blasters probably best bet mate, ty -
[ QUOTE ]
Im in.....
inv/stone tank
kat/sr Scrapper
storm/elec def
let me know who you need
[/ QUOTE ]
Defender pls mate -
[ QUOTE ]
Sounds fun, got a MA/SR scrapper who could do with a workout.
I'm a total Hami noob, but can follow simple instructions ok so that shouldn't be a problem, I have a question though. Someone I did the STF with mentioned a 'Hami costume' to reduce lag - can anyone enlighten me as to what that's all about? Also, if a special costume is necessary, is it possible to get a 5th cossie slot at 50?
[/ QUOTE ]
Hami cossie is a costume in your ATs clour, with jsut a tech helm, and tights, no details or back details, auras etc. The low details mean it produces very little lag.
to get the fifth slot, you need one of each of the 4 halloween salvage pieces, Hamidon costume, back alley brawlers gloves, statesmans faceplate and lord recluse mask, give these to annah by the train in croatoa to get the fifth slot -

i cna bring ...
ice/ice tank
fire/kin troller
ill/emp troller
spine/sr scrapper
only the emp has fly .. the rest have sj
[/ QUOTE ]
emp pls mate, and sure fin -
if either scrapper has fly id bring them, PB if it has group flight or if the sonic would take to long to lvl up, otherwise the sonic pls.
-
1) debuffs work, hopefuly with everyone ganking their respective mitos they will be down in 30 secs, but again debuffs would help, especially for Hami himself
2) They are confusable technically, in the test BaB confused all the mitos to show what would happen.
however it would take a ton of stacked confuses to work so its not really going to work.
3) All holds, Terrify is a fear i think and hypnosis is a sleep so they dont count. Dominate and total domination, maybe telekenisis for mind trollers.
4) never had a troller past 14, but id say weak qualifies as anything less than moderate damage.
It may be better now i think for torllers to always use holds and leave all the damage to blasters. -

Ok @Fingolfin reporting for duty,
Take your pick of the following (all 50)
Eng/Eng Blaster
Claw/Regen Scrapper
Ice/kin Controller
Fire/EM Tank
Kat/DA Scrapper
Sonic/Sonic Defender
See you there

nice, we'll take the sonic pls, hard ta find one -
i don't think anyone has tried a mass caging on him, but i rather doubt it will work and if it did, probly only for a second.

Well it's been a while since we managed to beat Hamidon, those of you who were there will remember it was not exactly a cake walk, but then again, practise makes perfect.
I've decided to try another of these on Friday the 13th of july, 6PM BST, anyone who wants to join, contact me in game or post here with what you can bring, We'll meet at that date on the monster isle in PI, to start farming EoEs.
Below is a brief outline of the plan we'll be trying, if ya find a problem with it please tell me, cos it might be tricky on the day if there are any.
For the first part of the raid we will need to obtain some Essence of earth inspirations, (EoEs), these are vital as they are the only thing that gives damage resistance to Hamis attacks and those of most his mitos. They cap the dmg res against hamidons electrolyte damage for each AT.
We can get EOEs be defeating the monsters there, each time one is defeated, one person on each team that contributed significantly will receive an EoE, there is also a small chance that anyone who helped will receive one.
In order to get a good amount of these quickly, please form into teams of 7 only. A leader for each team will be designated so do not invite people unless asked pls, this will save us from ending up with a dozen teams of 4.
Make sure you have 2 insp slots free, otherwise you wont be able to receive EoEs.
DO NOT use the EoEs you get, any EoEs you get should be given to tankers and scrappers, as they will be holding aggro and are hopefully going to be the only ATs being hit by the electrolyte attacks. Other Ats may want to grab Breakfrees.
Hamidon is spawned when enough of the Monsters are defeated in the Hive. Apparently this is somewhere between 8 and 50 judging by the US raids.
Dont leave the hive if you die, its better to wait for a rez in case you lose your place. Some exceptions will be made in case of emergencies.
Hamidon deals Electrolytic damage using his attacks, his old AoE some of you will be familiar with and a new single target sniper like attack. These attacks also Stun and lower Regeneration and Healing.
A few shots form those will nullify all heals and regen. The Essence of Earth insps are important for tanking Hamidon and his range is around 600 feet, enough to reach the gathering areas so dont stand in his line of sight.
Mitochondria antibodies (Yellows), are basically Hamis blasters, there are 6 per wave. They deal a lot of Electrolytic damage and like hamidon they have a 600 foot range, both by ranged area attack and also have a point blank area attack.
These attacks also Stun and Knockback. Sadly the EoE insps do not protect from mez effects so powers like CM, ID are a must and should be spammed continuously, mez shields should be enough in most cases however. These Yellow Mitos Have insane Ranged Defense meaning melee attacks are the best.
Yellow mitos are in range to be supported by Blues and healed by Greens. A single Melee Scrapper can deplete the Yellow's 7k hit points in under 3 minutes if its not being healed so taking them out shouldnt be too difficult.
Mitochondria electrolytes (Blues) are very annoying sappers and there are six of them each wave. They deal Electrolytic damage over time and also drain endurance. This attack can even bounce across multiple heroes, so be careful.
Blues also have a melee range end drain that can deplete your end in seconds, so dont get close. Blues have high melee defense, but no real ranged defense.
Blasters Ranged attacks are perfect here. Melee attacks are useless but claws and spines scrappers can help out still once they are done with the yellow mitos.
Mending mitochondria (Greens) are Hamidon's Healers, and are also six each wave. They have some form of Personal Force Field and need to be held by a pack of Controllers or Blasters to drop it.
Greens have a melee range area heal for about 300 hit points, and a single target ranged heal for over 1200. Their odd attack deals Toxic damage and inflicts a -Regeneration and -Heal effect that can nullify heals and regen in two hits.
In order to effectively take these out the raid will be split into 4 teams.
A Team will consist of all scrappers, and a number of defenders, if there are enough it may be split into two teams. These scrappers will follow the team leader and attack his mito, continuing in a clockwise pattern.
P (Perimeter) team will consist of 5 scrappers and any spare empaths, they will each be assigned a yellow mito to hold aggro on, when A team reaches their mito a select scrapper will taunt it to draw aggro at a distance, while A team and any perimeter members who do not have a mito to aggro anymore attack it.
Team B will comprise of all blasters and most controllers, they will be split into 2/3 teams, their job will be to hold and destroy the green mitos, in order to stop them healing the other mitos. Only greens matter at first, spam holds until your team leader announces the order to attack, at which point switch to ranged attacks, any controllers with poor or no ranged attacks stick to holds.
None of you will need EoEs (hopefully J), so give any you have to tanks and scrappers. Once all the greens are down move onto the blue mitos and simply down them with ranged attacks.
Team C are in charge of aggro, mainly Hamidons, all tanks will be in this team, as well as a kin with ID, and multiple empaths, theyre primary job is to hold Hami aggro.
One tank will hold aggro while using an EoE and being spammed with CM, when it starts to run out use a second EoE, when that is close to running out the heal and regen will have left the tank with little hp.
At this point the 2nd appointed tank pops an EoE and takes over, the first is pulled out, healed and the cycle is repeated. This may be adjusted depending on tanker HP.
Once all the mitos are down anyone with recall friend returns to the safe point, in case of emergencies and the rest of us attack Hami, When he hits 75% of his health he will respawn his mitos.
When I yell RUN, run faster as they will open fire quite quickly. Return to your designated safe points and we will then repeat this process, hell do another spawn at 50% and 25%, after those we just gank him and we win.
No pets allowed during the raid, they have a habit of aggroing a lot.
well done to anyone who read all that.
We should have enough tanks for the raid already, so unless your only 45+ hero is a tank, bring sumin else pls
cya there -
up for it, Lost Nictus lvl 50 WS

lets go for it, and xanthus, i think people may be more inclined to lend a hand on your defiant raids because there have been so many, considering you had yet to lead a union raid it was unlikely people would jump at the chance to follow you.
announcing it in all caps on arena probably didnt make you look to good either. -

hope of what? That someone else will lead a raid? Here is news for you. I am leading raids.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh I see, in your raids there is no hope
[/ QUOTE ]
it would appear so, also since these are your raids xanthus, might i suggest you make your own channel for it, much better way to keep track of those who want to join them, rather than around a hundred who are in since i started leading em back in november -
The PG would help, as my plan method involves at least 5 co-ordianted scrappers, this didnt work well on our first try as several of them were naturally uncordinated and a couple left without saying anything.
also although there were over 50 people in the channel, i reckon a good dozen or so were simply old raiders who haven't bothered to remove it. quite a few of us stay in it for the hope -

Probably would have helped if the raid had been advertised more before the night, after all a lot of people aren't free for 4+ hours on a tuesday evening any old week.
[/ QUOTE ]
How could we have advertised it more? This post has been up for more than a week, and I've been chatting about the raid in the Union Hamidon Raids pretty regularly as well.
[/ QUOTE ]
This post only recently resurfaced to the frist page in union heroes, also chatting in the channel is one thing, but perhaps you should actively look for people and ask them to join from utside the channel, as im sure a fair few have left it since we stopped the regular raids. -

How do people feel about petitioning Bridger to give lost Samurai some hami-related title?
Like Heart of the Hamidon in glowy yellow letters (Think "Protector of Little Ones").
[/ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
..... (seriously though regarding the above proposal)
I would /em, sign it. Lost Samurai is one of if not the finest Hamidon Raid leaders it has been my pleasure to team with, and has heroically and selflessly put in a lot of effort and organisation into them, especially on the run up to Issue Nine.
Personally I think there should be a Plaque somewhere up on a Hill on the hive where Successful participants and the raid leaders have their name carved and the date the raid was completed.
I also thought it fitting that Lost was the first raid leader of the 'new' Hamidon on Union.
[/ QUOTE ]
lol ty guys, i think it's more likely i would get a title for leading what has to be the longest Hamidon raid rather than the first I9 union one.
Plaque idea sounds nice though, devs could have a look round the servers and put info on it, longest, shortest, most deaths, least deaths, most participants etc and see which servers were the best in each bit. -

Memories.. the Leroy Jenkins moment..

Dying.
[/ QUOTE ]
A lot.
It was certainly an education. I got a good recipe so it was worth it. Not sure my missus will agree since I told her it would only be a couple of hours.
Cheers to all who stuck with it. Cheers Lost for putting it on, even though I'm sure you must have been ripping your hair out by the handfull.
[/ QUOTE ]
ripping out my hair would have been stupid, i have reduced several pens to plastic and ink which has now entered cuts and i fear may be causing a lot of damage to me from the inside. That and ive drunk my weight in pepsi and really need the bathroom after 7 hours of it -
Hooray, we managed to defeat Hamidon tonight, after 7 and a half grueling hours from start to finish and an insane amount of dying.
I have learned several things
1. People who sell EoEs at the Ah for 300k will not live long
2. Deaths happens
3. a lot
4. and then some more
5. just dig a grave and save some time
6. People who say they will come to a raid and then dont will also not live long
7. i am never leading another of these
8. Unionites are as determined as we are suicidal, that is why we will prosper.
9. Officer Cuffz, Luc Sr. Paragon Girl, Curing catz, War borg, Massatron, small freak, Dangerous dude, kiyomori, sprite, and quite a lot of others are far to determined and well done for keeping at this through the debt and the suffering and drowsiness.
im gonna pass out for a few days, to those of you who got a bad reward, im very sorry, not much i can do, better luck if this ever happens again.
To those of you who got a good reward you can go bend over and take it up the (dced) -
[ QUOTE ]
Hey people, why after Issue 9 has been out for a number of weeks now, has there been no attempt to take Hamidon down on Union?
Now let me get this clear, I'm by no means organising this thing,, but I am asking the usual people that do organise it (and do have a clue what they are doing)... Lost, Raz etc when this is going to happen... Who also wants to get some of that sweet hami-o lovin'?
[/ QUOTE ]
ask raz, heck am i putting up with one of these again -
