user: Do you know who Kelp is?
    ctab: Nope...

I know its random but hell I was bored and wondered if anyone was still messing with ctab lol
  2. Take this for what it is but I wanted to speak up on something that becoming a concern to me. Here is a little background. Ive played City of Heroes since day one. The day it was out of Beta I signed up and started having fun. Nothing in this game was given to you, you had to work for it. I was one of many who would spend hours of a time in a now little known place called Perez Park, I had the maze of a park memorized for when I got that dreaded mission hidden in the depths of the forest. But as does everything times change, in CoH time goes very fast and soon a cool hotspot like the park is soon replaced with something newer and better. For Prez it was the Hollows. I didn’t agree that is was better than the park. I hated getting killed every time I tried to cross the canyon but, its life. Change happens.

I know this is a dead horse issue but I wanted to voice my concern about AE and what is happening. When announced I believed AE to be the best thing to hit CoH in a long time. But the dark side to it is that no one seemed to expect that it was going to be abused in such a way. People who are just starting the same are reaching lvl 50 quicker then if they were door sitting. But Honestly this is not the thing that bothers me…

What Im concerned about is that new payers are taking advantage of this are power leveling and are missing out on what this game really is. It took me over a year it hit 50 for the first time. I played every combination of power sets until I found the one that fit me right. When I played the missions I read everything, I wanted to know the story and truthfully there are a lot of good ones in this game. Another thing I love is that Taskforces are awesome, if you have time its totally worth it. These new players are missing out on these experiences and might even quit due to boredom. For all the good AE has brought in CoH/V I see a lot of negative.
But as I said before, Change happens and we move on. For better or worse we have AE and there are a lot of people abusing it. If change happens and you are no longer able to power level your toon, I hope all of you new players are willing to take a look at what CoH has to offer. Here is a example I seen on another post and its also a good guide if you would like to see the game for what it is.

Level 1-5 - Fiddle around Atlas Park
Level 5 - King's Row, talk to the Detective
Level 5-7 - Do three police missions and the bank Safeguard mission for your jet pack
Level 8-15 - Go to Hollows and run the arcs there, leaving to do the other stuff in between
Level 10-12 - Do three police missions in Steel Canyon and the bank Safeguard mission for your jump pack
Level 12 - Invention Tutorial at Steel Canyon University (don't do it at 10 -- at 12 you get a level 15 enhancement)
Level 12 - Midnighters Club mission arc from the Steel University (Montague Castanella)
Level 15-25 - Faultline, leaving when you need to level up for next contact tier
Level 15-20 - Five radio missions in Skyway plus a Safeguard to get a self rez power
Level 20-30 - Striga, same as Faultline
Level 20-25 - Mercedes Sheldon, Midnighter Club, three arcs
Level 20-25 - Five radio missions in Talos plus a Safeguard to get a summon teammates power
Level 25-35 - Croatoa, same as Striga
Level 25+ - Oroborous, four intro missions and a soloable TF
Level 25-30 - Five radio missions in Talos plus a Safeguard to get a movement increase auto power
  3. Since the last update on CoH I have been able to get online with the 185 Drivers. I'm currently testing the 7260 Build.
  4. Im actually having similar issues with Windows 7. I have a GeForce 8800 GT and From what I can tell the problem is created with the Driver itself. When you update or rollback the driver to one of the few choices you are given for Windows 7 there is either little improvement or none at all. I started with the 181 Drivers which let me log in but the load times were extremely slow. When you go in game the loading bar does not appear to move at all. Each time I have to do a forced quit on the game so I can exit and try again. The 185 Drivers cause the graphics to look like it has very high contrast also the graphics look very bad. I can get in game at this point but the frame rate is very bad. I do not remember the last driver series that was the newest (188 or 186? I am not at my computer) but they do not work at all. The screen stays black but you can hear the sounds of the background music and key strokes (Almost taunting you). If there is no quick fix/Work around I will be going back to Vista to play CoX Either that or does anyone know if CoH works with Ubuntu Linux by using Cedga?
  5. I was wondering if some of you could take a look to my Hero Corps ID and tell me what you do and dont like about it. Im trying to come up with a RP friendly charater and I think Ive about got his story down.

  6. User: I have an Idea who dont you become a Shemale?

Ctab: Well, I might, but you'd have to ask Kelp.

    User: Oh I will.

    Hey Positron,

What would be more useful than a huge Trinitron to view the matches inside the arena, would be a terminal where combatants could view a DEMO FILE of their battle AFTER the event. I know that each individual could do this client-side, but it would b really cool to just come out of the arena and have access to a "replay".

    Anyone else like this idea?

That's a good Idea! Replay after the match is done could add for a more effect not only for the normal gamer, but for the Roleplayers as well.
