Figured I'd throw a quick shout that the Fallen Legion is still going strong and is always welcoming new members. Drama free enviroment and a great place for veteran players and new villains alike.
-
I was there for the first raid. Big thanks. I've only managed to attend a handful of these, but this was by the far the smoothest one I've ever been on. Only TWO deaths on the team the entire time (one was someone straying too far away, and the other was an afk death) and an insane amount of merits (I ended up with over 900, but forgot to look to see how many I had when I started). Thanks to the Night Shift for hosting, and Bold Garlic for leading the team I was on. Great fun.
-
Solo, yes. I usually take my time and try and catch everything the author included. Teams can be a bit tougher. Especially if said team is steamrolling everything. If that's the case I'll usually try and run the arc again solo to catch anything I might have missed (and to read the contact stuff).
Now that I think about it, it would be really nice if everyone got to read the contact info when you were teamed. -

Arc: Martian Chimpanzees and the Cyborg Cheerleaders of DOOM!
Arc ID: 69947
Author: Loonatic
My rating: *****
Very nice tongue in cheek story here. Monkeys from Mars are kidnapping cheerleaders. Very nice texts with lots of fourth wall breaking.
My suggestion:
I would think up a couple more cheers for the first mission, so the cheerleaders can have different things to say, and break those events up into two or three different ones. This doesn't require different cheerleaders or anything else, just the substitution of two or three different events for the one that's repeated.
If you call them all "cheerleaders to rescue" in the plural to-do statement, the MA does the math and treats them as one. Unless your space is very tightly budgeted, adding text and separating events doesn't use up that much overhead. If there is space, I would do the same with some of the later events as well.
Still - very nice custom mobs, and a story that's pure fun.
[/ QUOTE ]
Thanks for the feedback. You're not the first person to mention the objectives being a little repetative so it is something I've definitely got to work on. Oh, and thanks for the heads-up on the breaking them up into multiple events fix - the only thing preventing me from doing that was my fear of hitting the player with a wall of ojectives in the Nav bar.
-
If you're into humor I'd definitely recommend Heraclea's Monstrous Regiment of Lesbian Hellions arc (#27178). Humor arcs can be hit or miss, but this one had me loling quite a few times. Great custom critters and great use of existing ones.

I'm with Decorum on this one. All of my characters have a back story. You don't have to play the exact same content over and over.
If you are bored, try this...Pick a different origin. Talk to different contacts. Concentrate on different enemies. Try new and underused power sets. If you aren't having fun with the toon you're playing, delete and try something else.
[/ QUOTE ]
The old excuse "I'm so bored of grinding through the same old content" just doesn't wash anymore. MA just opened up more content then you could possibly hope to experience on your journey to 50. So what's the excuse now? I guess if you want to PL a PvP toon or two...but wow, our PvP population must be set for a HUGE explosion of people...
Oh, and don't look for any "Short" content atm. I think the devs are going to have to change the search description for Short to "Farm". I only had time for one last mission yesterday so I did a search for a short mission arc - picked a random page in the middle of the list (looking for something that might not have been rated a lot) and found a FULL page of farms (or cleverly disguised farms). Moving forward and backwards a page didn't help either. Just kind of sad. Great. Congrats. You've got a new 50 in 10 hours. Now what? -
Arc Name: Martian Chimpanzees and the Cyborg Cheerleaders of DOOM!
Arc ID: 69947
Faction: Custom
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Loonatic
Difficulty Level: Solo friendly. Recommended for level 30+ (though I did solo it w/my lv 24 blaster)
Synopsis: Martian Chimpanzee Invaders! Cyborg Cheerleaders! Space Captain Uranus! 'nuff said.
Estimated Time to Play: About an hour
I've tweaked the arc enough where I believe it's well balanced for solo and team play. If the title made you chuckle or smile you'll probably enjoy the arc. Construtive criticism/feedback is welcomed and appreciated. Any lengthy comments can be place here. -

Wow. Gratz on the great piece. Big fan of his style. He's done some work for some SG mates and I've yet to see piece that fails to amaze.

Looking good Mar. Can't wait to see the finished production. -
Very nice Mar. Maybe I'll have him do up a piece detailing Loonatic's lurid love affair with Valkyrie.

Latest commission piece. Digital rendering of my thug/poison mastermind Boss Bones . Commissioned it from my good friend Frank King. He just recently started taking commissions and I'd highly recommend him. Very reasonable rates and quick turnaround time. Take a gander through his gallery.
-
Here's the latest commission I've had done. This is of my ice/cold corruptor Blizzard Jack by the amazing mcwolf105. Very fast, very professional, and very reasonable ($30 including mailing me the original). Highly recommended. Make sure to check out his gallery. He's an aspiring comic professional and the Wolverine/Hulk submission he did is an incredible example of wordless storytelling (that and it has the funniest ending to a Wolverine/Hulk battle I've ever seen
).

Here's a commission I just had done of my em/elec brute...
PunchMonkey by Kross29
The toon is an actual monkey. A monkey in power armor that constantly gives him electrical shocks and pisses him off. I've never been totally happy with the monkey faces I've created with the character creator, so I gave the artist carte blanche with the face. I love what he did and think he totally nailed it.
Ixnay on the curious and power-up the furious. PunchMonkey say time for punchin'! -

Hehehe, for some reason I imagined him making a zooming noise much like Freakazoid used to do his whooshing flight noises. Great pic. I love the 'cartoon' versions of heroes.

If you've got time feel free to poke around. I've got about 10 pieces posted over there.
I blame my guildmate in the LoV Lightslinger for my new addiction (all though I thought the first one was suppose to be free! :P). He's gotten us a bunch of us addicted. Oh, and FunkYeti was my gateway drug... -
Tired of your here-today-gone tommorrow SG? Tired of your lame do-nothing SG? Tired of not seeing anyone else from you SG around? Then check out Legion of Valor the most happenin' SG on all of Victory. A dedicated TS server, plenty of weekly events, monthly contests - and most of all a FAMILY of over 100 members. I guarantee once you give us a try you won't regret it. Having celebrated it's year anniversary a few months back you can be sure this isn't just any ole flash-in-the-pan SG. Seasoned CoHers and players newer to the game are always warmly welcomed and never made to feel like a "noob". And with a ton of the membership having played since beta - you can get your game questions answered without fear of "griefing" or being made to feel like an idiot. So if you're looking for a HOME and a FAMILY for your hero to be a part of - look no further. The Legion of Valor is the place for you. I made it my home over six months ago and my only regret is that I wish I had done it sooner. Never have I had this much fun playing a MMPORG. Legion of Valor
