This should be workable. And giving more love to the roleplayer is always good.

But I would make it a complete switch.. if possible with at least 3 slots to pick from (cozzy slots).

The alien language is set on the toon and sticks. It works everytime. Just will cost you two transfers.

Rubbish I know several who migrated to US servers and then came back. Hell one of them is American and hated the, in his words, 'idiot Americans', though admittedly he was slightly less polite. He started with US beta, moved to EU, moved back to US at the beginning of this year and is back in the land of the free (market) now.

A lot of idea's and stuff I posted here are being done through discussion with my friend Vanex who is from Italy. He, his friend and the brother of that friend all started an account on US. Reason was server population, cheaper subscription and more slots (as there where more servers). That is for them a much better deal. And it is...

t's very simple. If I hadn't had so many ties to Union (my own build SG and some friends) and the fact I really hate to loose my vet rewards, I would have joined them. These are people I met almost the first day I started to play.

We regularly chat and I really try to get them back... but I can't force them to pay two subscriptions. And as I see it logical from their eyes... they are right.

That is three who are not coming back...

At the moment he is fighting for a server list merge on the US forums though. And till that appens I just grab a trial every time I go and see them, cursing the fact I dont have any vet rewards and can actually do nothing on a trial these days.

I have to note that he hates the community there. He can't find a decent SG for instance. Even under the Italian's playing there.

And then we come again on the statement I made that there are probably more Europeans playing in the US then we have playing on the EU servers. Most of whom just followed the wrong link.

Night had fallen over the Liberty Islands. But at the coast there was a lot of commotion still. A fund-raiser was being held by the wife of the minister of finance. On her neck she wore a mid-evil golden necklace with a pendant holding a red stone. She was holding a hand bag matching the color of her dress in one hand and a bloody Mary in the other.

“Elizabeth…”, a female voice called out. Elizabeth looked up and saw the new president Rashme Nasri walk towards her. “I didn’t expected you to be here… with the sad news I read yesterday. I know Buku and I never agreed much but to be assaulted and killed like that. No-one deserves that. Not even the man who has been known as ‘dictator’. Please be assured the police do whatever they can to find the killer!” Rashme looked sad, worried and a bit surprised. The latter maybe because of finding Elizabeth in a red gown at a party only a day after her lover died so horribly.

“Thank you Rashme.”, Elizabeth replied. “I am sure justice will prevail.” She sipped some of her drink and looked at the giant screen showing the raised money for the evening. “Talking about justice…” She walked towards the box and opened her hand bag taking out a gold inlayed wallet. Elizabeth placed some money in the box and the numbers on the screen went up a few thousand Liberté Dollars. “It’s for the poor and sick children.”

“But what is the new president doing here?”

Rashme picked a white wine from a tray… “The one organising this is an old friend of my late father. I just had to show up when I saw the invitation.”

Suddenly Elizabeth looked up as if she heard a voice… “Anything wrong dear?”, Rashme asked. “Eh… no… everything is fine. Would you excuse me, please?”, Elizabeth replied. She gave Rashme two kisses on the cheeks to say good-bye.

Then without waiting for the answer she walked towards the beach… her smile fading a bit and looking more serious she looked up. Trying to find where it came from. Then on one of the small fishing boats she saw it… A dead almost decomposing bird was tilting its head towards the vampire queen. “How cute.”, Elizabeth whispered. “I guess you come from Alexander.”

“Master Romanov wishes to meet you tonight… tonight…”, the undead bird said.

“Tonight… well… then I better hurry.”, she spoke to herself with a sarcastic tone. She kissed the bird showing maybe even more feeling then the good-bye kisses she had just given to Rashme and walked to the parking. Her driver jumped up to open the door of the black Rolls. “Home, Immortal mistress?”, the Japanese asked. “Home!”

Back at villa Palm she entered her chamber of shadows. For a moment she stood admiring her enchanted mirror. She had it moved towards the villa as soon as she could. The space warping enchantments upon it allowed her to travel great distances. Like between The Liberty Islands and her court in Cap Au Diable.

Slowly she started to chant. The surface of the mirror slowly blackened and the reflection of the room faded. To be replaced by a view of the entrance hall of Romanov’s inner sanctum. “I better go in a bit more official, there are bound to be defences placed.”, the vampire witch spoke to herself. The image shifted to the desired location and Elizabeth walked towards the mirror… disappearing in it upon entering the surface.


Only minutes later she walked the stone hewed corridors of the Romanov sanctum. One of his undead servants awaited her and led her to the room his master was in. She looked around and saw Lord Erebus and Romanov studying a leather bound book

I have made a German based character on Zukunf.... then transfered him to Defiant.

Now all his game remarks as '...joins team' etc is for me and the team in German. My powers too. For me this is actually a waaay cool bug. It fits the toon.

But I am guessing its for every toon you make on Zukunf and transfer.

This discussion is very old.... Here and on the us forums.

The playerbase óbviously don't want it (the majority of the forum users that is). What they had done in the past is raising the power levels of 50's by other means.

- xp to lvl 50
- IO sets for set bonusses
- Purple IO set for higher set bonusses

Things being mentioned are ...

- Global IO set for set bonus working on all
- More craftable recipes for temp powers (maybe some only to be used/dropped by 50's, like the purples)

Personally I would hate to go the WOW route.

Not totaly true.. They cancel their EU sub, but it's because not wanting to pay the sub twice. Not because it is so much better in the US.

People not being able to coming back when they want to is a prob. All who go to US are lost to EU. With one list they can still global talk to old EU friends... come back.. Change their minds etc.

As it is.. they are gone..

The forums are absolutely NOT hosted on the same machine as the test server. They're on the same IP range, as they're both located in Austin, but they're NOT the same machine; their IP addresses are different.

More than likely, it was a router in Austin that crashed, taking down everything. There's just no way they'd run a game server, even a test one, on the same machine as a live forum.

Thanks for the heads-up.. I didn't had any chance to check ip-adresses back then. And I am not able to check the game ip from here. So I had to go on memory. That sucks. Anyway. So we have a seperate Webserver I guess then.

I am not saying its easy.. I am saying that I think it would be wisest. And I have not yet heard any good argument why not.

ok.. I am misinformed on these games.. I thought they where planned as MMO (should have looked them up before mentioning). Does that make the rest ridiculus? I dont think so.

As the servers on which we game are in different countries it was obvious neccisary to make two forums. But those forums wherent needed to be in two locations. So they made both forums on a US Server... (the test server to be precise).

I know I don't know the way these Domain(s) are build up. It is a lot of guessing. No info is released. But these are educated guesses. Right not sure how similar this is but a while back Paypal opened up a EU division and all that was required to move from US account to EU account was agreeing to new terms and conditions.

Now surly there was data protection issues involved with that move and if its just a case of getting users to agree to new T&Cs that should be easy anuff you have to agree to the current ones every time you log in any ways.

When adding a US account there is no extra / different agreement you have to agree upon... Just add a Credit Card (which can be the same as you used before).

WOW is in the german server parc too... the more people access it, the worse the lagg becomes. Next update of WOW is close. Have we noticed the lagg increase?

What about placing four more servers in the US.. mirror them from the ones in EU. Then change the client with an update. combine the accounts.. Give all a free global name change if name is already in use.

Keeping the support in the same place for 24 hour support (remote). Must be that way already anyway.. as support is in UK and servers in Germany.

Away from WOW (and upcoming MMO's Starcraft 2 and Diablo III)... away from lagg... no VAT (cheaper Subs)... no name loss... one list...

It can and will happen if we're all in one list. But the lagg has to be gone... or we really have a problem.

There is no excuse for lagg. If it was my compagny I would seriously look into the lagg. With all force I could muster.

When you make an us account.. do you have to enter youre personal data again.. or do you just enter and apply a serial code...

They already have our data for us and eu avalable.

We need more official info on this... and as US has no prob.. the US don't care... Same thread like this was placed on US forums.. and replies where just that. EU prob, not ours.

Keeping us seperated will limit growth and eventually EU will lose. If moving the EU servers to US and keeping the support in the UK to do remote server support for the EU as US branch working in EU is the solution to this... GO FOR IT!

Even if all this is true.. Keeping the compagnies as two seperate ones will in the long run not help us any...

You know, just because the US and EU branches are now being managed under NCWest, that still doesn't mean that the legal issues preventing sharing of data between the EU and US have gone away...

Until NC themselves actually say they've resolved the legal problems, which are quite complex and expensive to sort out, even merging the server lists is NOT possible. It requires the sharing of personal data which is protected under EU data protection laws, and these differ wildly from US ones.

ehh.. *network admin cap on* A list like this is made up of ip-adresses.. even the name of the server can be taken from the original eu location. Logging in there just is a shortcut. No data transfer of any kind from the account. Even the account merge can be done without data transfer to US.
