  1. I was surprised this issue was elevated once to resolve it, showed there was more to it than a simple "No." which what I expected.

GM Roland, who I'm sure has rescued me in-game as a ghost pirate before, basically told me that it currently impossible to move character slots between servers. It's a technical limitation, and thusly its not a CS issue they can resolve.

He told me this would be a design change that could be implemented by the devs and recommended coming to the forums to express my ideas on the topic.

And my idea is...I don't know. I don't think it should just as easy as contacting CS every time you want a slot moved, if they did that they would constantly be moving slots for us fickle minded gamers.

Possibly a very small fee? Or they could make it a one time thing per account maybe? No idea, tho it is something I would take advantage of if it were available.

Stuff to avoid going JUST on visuals... Gravity (since... well, you don't see much)

    [/ QUOTE ]

I find Propel(Gravity) hilarious, the item you throw is random.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I love it for the randomness, yet its also the randomness that kills it for me. The item you throw is generated independantly on each person's client. So while I may see my character throw a light pole, the person I'm teaming with may see a toilet.

For some reason knowing that always irked me.
  3. I just rolled up a Fire/MM, lots of fun so far, he's still a wee lowbie tho, level 8.
  4. mmm pocket dimension donuts.

::brings in Hump Day mascot Humpy the Camel::

My advice, don't ask him how he got his name.
  5. Lavitae, I'm definitely not moving my main from Victory as I still have friends there and do plan on continuing to play there. I just don't see myself rolling up more alts there, so even if I do stay, the slots will go unused.

I had forgotten about the popup from when you claim the slots. I guess I'll contact CS and just see what they say, worth a shot I guess.
  6. I claimed 4 Character Slots on the Victory server last year. My main hero and all my alts were located on Victory.

I've now started playing mostly on the Virtue server because it is much easier to find teams there given the off-peak times I usually have to play.

I'm merely asking out of curiosity, is there any chance I could move those character slots to Virtue? My gut tells me "No" but I thought it would be worth checking out. They feel like such a waste sitting there on Victory unused.

These could probably be done as an accolade from other badges. Like, if you get all the badges related to that zone: so read all the plaques about it, get all the exploration badges in it, maybe some badges relating to any enemies directly related to it, maybe also completing all/some of the storyarcs related to it.

I really like this idea, much better than my original idea actually. That's why I posted it up for discussion!
  8. Oh, and on a game related note...

    um...

My heroes and villains are not required to eat.
  9. I had a salad for lunch today, this weight loss stuff is haaard, but I do feel much better lately.
  10. Gah, I lasted 15 minutes in WoW. I know that's not really long enough to judge a game, but I hated it so much I had to return to Paragon City ASAP.
  11. I am seriously considering starting to drink coffee in the mornings. My sonic/sonic 10 week old's arch-nemesis is sleep.
  12. As a descriptor of a visual theme, that's fine. If you want to call a plate oriental there's no issue, but if you look at a person and say "You look oriental." expect them to be offended.
  13. I really need to level my Brute, 43 right now, so I can get a Crab Spider.

    mmm, crab legs.
  14. Someone forgot to send me the invisi-text goggles!

Maybe my screen is wonky but I had to highlight that to read it.

Sorry to hear about your work computer tho. Give it the "Office Space" treatment and get a new one!
  15. Agreed, these badges should not offer any powers.

I forgot about the Trolls Task Force badge, the Day Job badges are all I could think of that was already in-game and similar to the idea.

I'll edit the original post to include this info.
  16. You're not the only one with insurance probs, they are indeed a pain.

My wife's work offers her health insurance and pays 90% of the premium. Last year they raised the deductible from 500 to 2500, but told her that they would reimburse 2000 of it.

My son was born almost 11 weeks ago. Because he was 1 day premature, the billing was a little different in that we got a bill for my wife's services and a bill for my son's care, instead of it being together. So her employer decides they don't have to cover that second deductible, we're out $2,000. Thanks a lot!

Also, my son swapped from my wife's insurance to his own policy when he was a month old, my wife's insurance was charged way to much.

A few weeks ago he was diagnosed with Pyloric Stenosis and had surgery for it. We got the first bill yesterday and they're investigating it as a pre-existing condition, we're fairly sure the condition didn't start until after his new insurance, but if something was recorded wrong at a Dr's office we could be in for a long fight.

Ack, too much real world stuff.

::loads up Skyway to kick bad guys in the head::
  17. Several of my heroes have adopted certain zones as their "home" zone. It's usually an RP idea that they are attached to a certain area and patrol that place most often.

I'd like to see a new form of a Day Job badge. By logging out in any area inside a zone that is not already occupied by a day job, you can work to earn that zone's Day Job Badge.

    Title's can be something like:

    "Steel Canyon Savior"
    "Hero of King's Row"
    "Menace of Mercy Isle"
    etc, etc

This would allow anyone who has chosen to RP(oh no, arpeez!) a certain zone as their home to show it through an earned badge title and it expands the current Day Job system dramatically.

Unlike normal Day Job badges the Home Badges do not unlock any powers. They could possibly attach some sort of bonus for time spent inside your "home" zone. Example: 1 Day spent logged off in your home zone earns 1-in game hour of increased Recovery. This would work the same for all the Home badges, you'd just have to log off in your home zone to earn it.

[i]Edit 1: Added info regarding powers/bonuses for having the badge.[i]

    fix'd.

    And welcome.

sigh, now I have to get a new Day Job, my secret identity is discovered!

    :uts away Hashslinger costume::

Also, I think I got the wrong order, these are hamcakes.

Second thought, I'll hang on to the hamcakes.

EDIT IN GAME RELATED NOTE: I snagged a cool name today, Skyway. He's my new scraps.

Hi, my name is Lightslinger, I sling light.
  20. Excellent changes, Volt, reversing the color scheme and adding the silver really helped. Very, very cool costume.
  21. A little hard to see because of the black in the suit on the dark background.

I like the bright shade of blue with the black, nice contrast. Very sleek, clean, simply, excellent silver age design, IMO.

I'm a big fan of "third colors". Basically I'll take a suit like your's, using two colors throughout, take one item and give it a random color.

Try coloring either the belt or the jewel a different color of your choosing and I think this costume could really stand out.
  22. I'm guessing Marvel and Microsoft both ran as far away from MUO as they could when Cryptic said "Hey, check out these screenshots!"

I think it could have a better name than "Going Rogue", but I don't much care about the name. I care more that we're finally getting a boxed expansion. I've been asking for one for years.

    1) When did Issue 16 become "Going Rogue"? We know it's the next paid expansion but when was it announced as Issue 16?

The "unsubscribe" link from the teaser web page:

    http://www.newzyouwant.com/NCsoft/un...1_mailing_list

    [/ QUOTE ]

Still puzzling over this response. Is this meant to link to some sort of confirmation that i16 is indeed going to coincide with the release of Going Rogue?

I'm not seeing solid information in either direction. Is linking to the unsubscribe link for GR newsletters just another example of typical forumite coyness? Or is there some information on either of those pages I'm simply not seeing?

Can someone from the community more in the know speak clearly about this?

Not trying to start any fights. Really just looking for a clear answer here as to whether we have any confirmation or not regarding GR and i16. Thanks.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Probably has something to do with the fact that the link to stop update emails for GR says "ncsoft_issue_16_1_mailing_list" in it.
