open up the game for both sides[heroes can go to rogue isles as a hero and villains to paragon city as a villain]removing the blue walls[aka war walls and making them invinsible]making the loading screens alot more shorter ,its just the first things that came to my mind when i first tried the game on trial.

Quote:afraid?they just didnt give a **** about the game anymore.Paragon made a lot of the changes Cryptic was either afraid to or didn't want to that has truly made this game what it is.
Also, most of what Cryptic "accomplished" was largely due to the work of those who remained at Paragon.
yes ,paragon did more good then cryptic after CoV ,but you cant compare a few good issues to 2 games[the game you playing right now]and also some good issues.
and Paragon are also ''afraid'' ,why we still cant go to the rogue isles as a hero and to paragon city as a villain ,why we still have blue walls that destroy your RP ,why do we still have a realy long loading screens?and why they decided to simply kill the korean grind[aka regular content]and replace it with the MA?isn't it more easy to just to buff the XP?
there is muce more work to do in the game. -

Paragon Studios and NCsoft will never get close to what Cryptic have contributed to this game.
Flame On![i dont like cryptic btw] -

some single player RPG games ,in early 2010 i'll play DCUO on downtime[its free to play so why not?]

Quote:ah ,then why there isn't blue walls in rogue isles?if they updgrated it they should have add that to CoH too ,why only villains will enjoy city that free of blue walls? One of Jack Emmert's philosophies when designing the game was that every typical MMO mechanic in CoH needed a lore-based explanation to give it an actual reason for being there. That's why we have things like the War Walls (zone limits, until it was decided that blue glowing boundaries would suffice instead) and Security Level (gives reason to restrict access to some zones, up until now I think).

Quote:ah ,they should have made them invincibleThose are the War Walls. The very original War Walls were built by the Rikti as a means of limiting the movement of Heroes attempting to fight them off, solidifying their control of a region. The current ones are there to make it harder for the Rikti to invade a zone, as well as contain other threats.
The RI doesn't have them due to likely being much less of a major target during the original Rikti Invasion- or maybe because Lord Recluse has made dealings with the Rikti.
i'll read more about the rikti. -
Hey, I noticed that there is a blue wall surrounding every city in Paragon city ,what is the Lore behind that?and why does the Rogue isles dont have them?

Okay. You got that partly right.
Cryptic and NC Soft made this game jointly. During the time this game was in production, lots of people worked on it, many left the project during production or after Launch of City of Heroes. The game went through a couple Lead Designers, before Jack Emmert, AKA Statesman. (If I remember correctly, there was at least one before him.)
Some time After City of Villains launched, (I want to say 8 months after but I am fuzzy on that.) Cryptic cut the team that worked on CoH\CoV down to about 15 people, not all of whom had been working on the game at launch.
About a year after that cut was made NC Soft bought out Cryptics share of the game. Everyone that was with the City of * games at the time, except Jack Emmert, decided to stay with the game and work with NCSoft, left Cryptic etc.
Shortly after they bought out the game, NC Soft moved the developers from Texas ( Austin I believe, but who knows Im going completely off of memory.) To mountain view, which is in the Bay area, California. The City of * team got their own office in mountain view and started staffing up to get more people and were known for a while as NCNC (NC Nor-Cal) And recently changed their name to Paragon Studios, a sub division of NC Soft, then proceeded to make the game more and more awesome and slowly but surely give the players everything they ever asked for, dreamed of and didn't know they wanted. (More or less.)
And some where in that sordid history were lots of beta tests, lots of Doom crying, a number of new issues and updates and a couple Hero Cons.
