Walk, walk, walk. Eventually, Hallucinogen made it to the dreary looking lab. If seen from above a hole could be seen in the roof. Outside, several officers and the detective were outside of the laboratory and inside Andrew was examining the rubble at the entrance with Archlich and Experiment further inside.

As Essex moved upstairs and walked down the hall in the direction Ian went earlier, various pictures decorated the walls. Some with Ian as a baby, others with William and Sandra together in some foreign land and two of Ian with his parents together. When she finally got to Ian’s room, the door was open and peering inside she could discover no one was inside. His room was rather bland, a bed, a few dressers, a small shelf of books and a large closet of clothes that, if you knew Ian, he never wore. His tux was messily thrown on the ground.

But just across the hall, a door was slightly ajar. Ian’s voice could be heard behind it, grunting and thumping.

Upon hearing the familiar voice, Andrew relaxed somewhat. He realized he hadn't been in this room before and took a look around. Most of it was exploded or otherwise ruined, but there still might be something in the wreckage.

He had just enough time to examine his surroundings when he heard the loud "GAH!" from an unfamiliar voice. He stiffened up and reflexively grabbed at his waist for his sword, which was, of course, gone. I need to get something to replace it. Hell, a wooden plank would work...

In the wreckage, he finally found his liuyedao that he had lost during the last battle. It must have been moved by the various winds that were summoned.

Hal was correct that it had nothing to do with the crime, the bullet was the one the TacOp shot the magitech robot with earlier. In the room, Hallucinogen would find nothing out of the, just the tell-tale signs of the scene that happened between the TacOp and the robot earlier.

“Hold it! Hold it! What are you doing out here?” the detective demanded from the TacOp that retreated into the bushes again, “Did you cause this explosion? Bah! I knew I should have kicked you off the crime scene when I had the chance. Who knows what evidence we’ve lost now.”

Richard was ready to kick the TacOp from the bush but noticed something about the robots guarding the lab. “How the heck did you deactivate these things?”

((And just because I’m feeling this is too ambiguous, is really boring(still haven’t gotten far enough into it though) or I’m just a horrible GM, I’ll give you more clues.

-There are still NPCs that haven’t been talked to such as Detective Holmes, Ian and some others.
-There are still areas not explored like the guest house, or where the murder took place(the Banquet Hall).

"Nervous? About what?" Yuri inquired. If Kagura was brazen enough to go around the wilderness naked, what would make the gril nervous?

Jing Lei hesitated for a moment. The only person she allows to call her by her real name was the one who gave it to her, her adopted father and teacher. After Ian gave her the nick name ‘Yuri’ it just stuck and anyone she ever trained with called her that. “You can call me Yuri,” she said with a warm smile. “Are you cold?” Yuri asked, wondering why the girl introduced herself so shakily.

Well if that's the case, I don't need to blame myself but I didn't want to sound self rightous and blame everyone else. I gotta make myself seem nice at least 0.1% of the time.

While the others swam about the water, Yuri stepped into the water(a shallow spot) and untied her hair which was tied behind her. She began scrubbing the grime from her skin and hair. Although the water was very cold, it felt really nice on her feet which she had been walking, running, jumping and fighting on for the last two and a half weeks. Finally relaxing a bit, her eyes began to wonder to the others also splashing around beneath the waterfall. “We’re going to be peers for the next.....who knows how long and I don’t even remember their names,” she said aloud while rubbing her feet beneath the cool waters.

Jing Lei, was the first character I ever made in CoH way back when the game released(during my 1 month of free subscription). She was suppose to be a monk like those from Final Fantasy XI(MA/SR) but I quickly deleted her when people began hitting on me in-game(I blame myself for giving her big boobs). I replaced her with a male MA/SR that I randomly called Tiger-Fang which is the name I gave Ian's sword later in the forums.

I've since then reimagined Jing Lei as a younger(same age as Ian) female martial artist character but I've decided not to actually make her until Defenders can use martial arts and debuff people with her fist.

Hyun-ki was suppose to be Ian's sensei when I created him but when I thought of giving Ian elemental sword skills, I made another character called Ryjuta after that one guy from Rurouni Kenshin(Raijuta) who uses that wierd skill of cutting people with air which I copied and dubbed "Falcon Wing". Since then I altered Hyun-ki and gave him different powers, personalities and changed his age from "being old and wise" to "a few years older than Ian but still wise". Oh, and the name Hyun-ki means wise in korean which is where his family originates from.

Hmmm, well I created my kid samurai character years ago when I drew comics in junior high which is who Ian is based off of. Way back then, that character was actually bad and killed people mercilessly and had psychic powers. When I remade him in CoH, instead of having psy powers I altered it to predicting an enemy's attacks and dodging them(SR) then just cut out the whole psychic bit and just made him really good at dodging. In the forum RPs, I added elemental powers to give some spice to him during battles then later thought up his techniques(names used from CoH katana power set) and combination techniques and decided to downplay the elemental powers.

Jase I thought up after thinking of Ian's katana techniques and made him into the samurai-kid that I created years ago(a psychic/telepathic sword wielder). They would have the same techniques(i.e. both using katanas) but instead of elemental attacks he would use negative energy attacks. Then I decided to just cut all that out because it would be repetative in an RP and designed him closer to a Spines/Dark Armor stalker but instead of using spines, used shuriken/kunai/other throwing weapons. He kept the telethapy but lost the psy so he ended up more ninja-like rather than evil psy samurai.

That's just how I settled on each of those characters' powers. Their backstories were a nightmare of inconsistancies and probably still are.

Yuri just smiled and splashed some water on her face. “I realize it’s a form of meditation,” she said as she continued washing her clothes, “but you’re not going to get very clean that way.” Soon she had finished washing her clothes and was preparing to hang them up on a branch or something. “If you’d like, I can wash your clothes for you. It would only take an hour or so for them to dry.”

This is not what I expected, Yuri thought to herself. Then the boy ran off into the waterfall mist, nude. Uhg, they can’t at least have separate waterfalls for something? she thought after Halven walked off muttering to himself.

Yuri shakily took off her over clothes, leaving on the clothes she had underneath which was a pair of undies and her chest wrapped tightly almost resembling a boy. She rested on her knees at the edge of the water and washed her clothes on the rocks. Yuri didn’t have to look to know what Fang Yin was doing under the waterfall but still decided to ask. “What do you think you’re doing?” she said almost laughing, “Why are you in that stance?”

((Yeah, but now you came out and said it . Just a little misdirection for those not paying attention....well, at least I'm have fun messing with people.))

Yuri followed the others through the gate to the Mountain Temple. She was a bit surprised there were so many other students here. “This must not be a very exclusive school,” she said to no one in particular. Just then, she noticed how dingy her clothes were and how dirty her face must look. “Where can we take a bath and when do we get to change into the temple clothes?”

“Wha-...?” Ian said before a barrage of thorns flew at him. He focused on weaving between them but still managed to see Hallucinogen teleporting to the hospital. Oh man, I wanted a chance to fight him....oh well, I hope he’s okay, he thought before he felt something sprinkling on him. It was the spittle from the geyser. “Yuck!” he said, as shivers ran up his spine and he began filling slightly queasy. Then a rush of cold followed, the Coralax tried to stop him in his tracks with a burst of cold breath. He pushed away from the Coralax, his speed sapped by the cold but still fighting to escape the thorns. “C-c-crud, s-someone get thisss thing away f-f-f-from me,” he managed to utter, drawing his bokken and holding it out straight in front of him, ready to attack or defend.

((So, is that other match going to ever move? And can I suggest another match? I want a 4-5 member match, no teams, everyone against everyone, all attacks halved in damage and throw some twist in there like 1/4 -speed or something.))

((No worries. I try not to progress a scene without response from everyone present. I’d say that TacOp wasn’t actually in the scene but outside...

Anyway, don’t feel rushed to respond to this thread, it’s not that important.))

Andrew hid near the door and listened to the voices outside. “What do ya mean it was ninjas!? I need you to find out who they were, who sent them, why they were here, everything!” said a familiar voice. It was the detective who had been called from the murder scene to investigate an explosion near the lab. He was talking to two other officers who were cautiously examining the laboratory door lying unhinged on the ground.

Suddenly a TacOp charged out of the bushes with his rifle ready to fire. On reflex, the officers and detective Holmes dove away from the entrance with their handguns drawn to fire at the threat.

The other group lead by Essex moved to the sitting room. Without much searching a single slug shot could be seen on the polished wood floor.

((A shame though cause I have so much that I want to reveal but no one to discover. I guess not everyone likes not being told the plot and being forced to learn it themselves.

Oh and the Omni-Poke technique may cause dizzyness, swelling of the breast, loss of appetite and should not be used by women over the age of -3.))

Yuri stood and bowed to the masters then to the master of the Earth temple. “I am Jing Lei of the Ling Hun Shou style and I choose the school of the Mountain, Halven-sensei.” Her mind had been made up before she even set off on her journey. When you can do what she can do, using offense to overwhelm your opponent was unnecessary.

When the boy offered her his food, Yuri was about to take it until Reishi began talking about growing your own food. “That’s okay, I think I’ll be fine for now,” Yuri said, declining Gerden’s offer of food.

Yuri sat down in silence, listening to everyone’s story and waiting for something to happen. Wow, maybe I could have taken a few hours to nap in that cave three days ago...I probably would have still made it here with time to spare.

((I’m sure the smell of food would have wakened her....I know it works for me when I’m starving.))

Yuri quickly ripped away the foil and tore into the bread and cheese with a vengeance. It only took her a few seconds to devour the little food offered. She then looked back up at Gerden, as if asking if there was any more. “Thank you,” she said with a weak smile and crumbs on her cheek. If there was a fight that she needed to get past, she would have the energy to face it but not at her fullest.

When Hotaka asked their reasons for coming, Yuri pulled herself up by Light Strike’s hand. “I have come because my spirit draws me here. I have pertained the memories from a past life and something has told me this is where I need to be. My teacher helped me as best he could but without money or direction, I was lucky to get here at all.”
