Apparently her phasing extends to calories not effecting her.

1. Animated tails - Really, I just want to see if they look good or not. What I *really* want is to use belts with tails...and tails with martial arts robes.
2. Mail system - It's a pain lvling new characters and needing to go the the dumb process of trying to transfer inf to them. Now all my characters can go TO > DO > SO > generic IOs without hassle.
3. Everything else. -
Same as Primal. I only generally 'slot for concept' with regards to procs. I'm a huge fan of the procs and I'd say my most successful character is my main, Kat/SR.
His concept is, he uses a bokken instead of an actual sword. And because wooden katanas are even better than swords, I've got his attacks slotted for at least 95% dmg plus 2 procs. Some accuracy bonuses (and the -def) help him hit dodgy foes and 1 proc is the achilles' heel -res proc/gladiator -res while the other is a lethal or energy dmg proc. I feel it works for concept as, with his wooden sword, he hits like a truck...or perhaps cuts them in half

Hmm, I kinda looked over this. I like the concept since usually I have alternate costumes that tie into a character's story, concept or powers in different ways.
My suggestion to amend to this: Epic Story Slot Missions.
The way it'd work is, the devs add missions just like they add missions to unlock auras and costume slots and capes. But for this, it'd be 'epic tokens'. In the costume creator, you get a choice to spend an 'epic token' on that costume that will basically 'unlink' that bio from the main one.
Normally, all the bios of all the costumes are linked so updating any will update them all. But spend an epic token on one of the costumes and updating that bio will be independent from the others.
I'd totally use this to elaborate on a transformation, how they think, act or feel during this transformation, the capabilities or manufacturer of a specific power armor. etc. -
Quote:And yet another power that can't stand up to the name 'Worst'.For my solo blaster, Sleep Grenade made every fight an "I Win" button. Soloing +4/x1, I could sleep a spawn, then use Cryo Freeze Ray to hold one. Then I'd kill it and hold another. After the second enemy was dead, the third one was still asleep and I would hold and kill it at my leisure. With a tiny bit of global rech it is perma. It makes a great set mule, since purple Sleep IOs are fairly cheap. My solo build eventually became totally single-target focused, based almost solely on the ability to sleep spawns and kill them one at a time.
Siren's Song in the blaster Sonic set has a much faster recharge and longer duration (72 seconds with a 10 second recharge slotted!), but as a 40' cone it is less easy to use than Sleep Grenade's 80' AE with 15' radius.
Either people truly cannot fathom the possible uses of some of these powers or they simply equate 'useless to me' as just plane 'will never have a use ever'.
Sleep powers can be very handy for dealing with problem mobs and downright broken for ATs like Blaster. Solo, my Sonic/Ice blaster is constantly sleeping things left and right. This gives him plenty of time to toss out Shiver and plant an Ice patch between him and the enemy. Then it's disotient>murder single targets until they're so thinned down they pose no threat to anyone.
I am eagerly awaiting Ice melee and Ice Armor for Stalkers. Being able to sleep things in a 15ft radius and then picking them off 1 by one is...oy, that's just so broken... -
For the Stalker version, yes.
For the Brute version of Energy Aura, instead of the Hide/Repulse combo, it has a +res passive and unsuppressed stealth instead.
[EDIT] Also, Repulse is simply KB. I'm not sure if Whirlwind has repel+KB but if so that's also a difference. -
If you can't even get the name of the 1st power in the set right, I don't think you deserve it >_>

Quick, easy solo tactic:
>Build up and AS a target (and finish him with additional attack if needed)
>Tab and Touch of Fear the next
>Tab and Placate the next
>Tab and Midnight Grasp crit the next or feared foe(always 1-shots a minion or most Lts)
That's potentially 4 foes incapacitated with your 1st chain of actions indefinitely or for around 20sec. And this is available to cycle every group.
Easy team tactic:
>ToF a target then Placate it
If you're teamed with anyone that you don't want to dump extra aggro on, the foe will either simply attack no one or most likely miss whomever it targets.
My experience comes from the Imperious TF on my DM/WP stalker. Since his build focuses primarily on +dmg bonuses, he has only a bit of extra defense. The -ToHit helps him pull of extra Assassinations primarily but it also has the side effect of mitigating other foes so he can focus attacks on one target at a time.
In that TF, there's lots of EBs running amuck which need copious amounts of dmg to eliminate quickly. And since EBs don't resist debuffs as harshly as AVs, it made fighting multiples of them a breeze. Running side-by-side with scrappers and brutes, my guy just rips targets like that to shreds with or without ToF. When the crap hits the fan, my guy self-rezzes and vengeance up for some sick +dmg bonuses and uses ToF to handle extra aggro while the others get back up. -

Don't forget, when *not* solo, Parry only helps you. But ToF can help others >_>

Lol I've never been ignored for *being* trolled and called names because I was trying to express an opinion while being informative. That's hilarious!
But on another note, really, Hail of Bullets? A power in leagues with Temperature Protection and Repulse? Is it that hard to wait for a scrapper or tank to run in first then follow in on the inside edge of a spawn and click? HoB isn't great but it's hard to imagine it as 'Single Worst Power' or even close. -
It's Assailants, Blake

And Blasters (and Defenders/Corruptors) can use -dmg from chemical rounds in the new Dual Pistol set that works as a resistance buff. I actually had a Dark/DP defender on test and she used only chem rounds. She didn't even need fluffy or Twilight Grasp because the enemies either never had a chance to hit (fear or held), missed (-ToHit) or just plain did piddly damage. Did extensive tests on +2 groups and +3 bosses too.

Perhaps Air/Storm defense? You can either deflect incoming attacks or just move yourself out of the way using air currents?
I'd say Telekinesis because WP really has nothing to do with affecting other things with your mind. Literally bouncing swords and bullets back with pulses of psionic power sounds different...and Energy Aura *could* fit that bill...but it has *no* psionic protection >_>
I still think Goo Armor would be entirely unique. Who hasn't thought of at least 1 character who can be splattered into a puddle and reform back into normal in a matter of seconds? Someone throws a punch at you? Their hand gets stuck ^_^
A suitable techy defense set with techy implants and game mechanics could be something but is more origin specific...
Kinetic Aura? Because Energy Aura, again, doesn't fit that bill. I already have a concept for a guy who can absorb an enemy's attack and fling it right back at them.
Can't think of anything else -
Not hating on your or anything but:
1. How does Flash Bang fit conceptually in a set about modifying yourself?
2. How is body mod not covered by any of the other sets?
--SR = modified synapses and reflexes
--WP = modified body and mental foundations
--Regen = modified metabolism
Now if it was giving yourself extra legs or increasing your size or something, that's at least something different from the other sets (if not impossible with the current game engine). -
Quote:Almost like you did last post?Hail of Bullets reminds me of a cheesey anime where some overly flashy and dramatic character dances around a lot and then fails to do absolutely anything. That's the immediate impression I got from that power. Somebody considerably failing to look cool.
*nudge nudge* -

Pretty cool, but I'm not much of a writing critic. So will we be seeing any of these characters in the thread?

Quote:Lol, you just don't get it. The only situation where ToF is *not* useful is vs foes that resist fear (ghosts and veng nemesis off the top of my head) and foes that resist -ToHit (AVs...can't think of much else). Just because you don't want to use it doesn't make it 'not useful'.Not the Lt. Just the two bosses. *I* Can probably survive the Lt, but I at least assume a typical scrapper can handle two bosses, so I let the Lt. go about his merry way. Any AT that cannot handle a Lt. and two minions needs to die. So I let them. You may view this as harsh, I view this as a required part of learning not to suck.
I have not fabricated any situations, I have completely lived within the realms of the ones you gave me, and then explain why I do not think ToF matters in them. Point being, I do not wish to keep playing "make up situations where ToF might be useful" until we find one.
Any potential usefulness ToF might have is invalidated because there are other powers you could pick that make ToF a superfluous use of your time. I've listed MANY reasons as to why I think this. When a power isn't needed, or doesn't do anything something else you can do can do *better*, I consider it useless.
You keep saying 'invalidate' and 'useless' and 'superfluous' but by your definition, *EVERY* power is superfluous. And therefore, you're *WRONG*.
You keep saying "I can survive" and "I can handle" and "I don't need it". Well, guess what. 'I' does not equal 'all'. Go make a Dark Melee Stalker. You'll always be better off with ToF than without it. Or hell, just make a character who's concept is all about fear. ToF will not disappoint. *EVER* -
Also, thinking of a new power as the tier1 for the secondary, we have immobilizes and a KB, but what about a semi-placate/avoid power?
Call it Destroy Moral (ST ranged, neg energy DoT, foe avoid (they'll run away from you, think burn but ST), decrease self-threat, 10% chance of placate per DoT) Why? Because I enjoy mixing it up with sets rather than carbon copies of sets. -
Umbral;
You're really getting bent out of shape with these suggestions>_>
Either that or you're just always like that lol
NecroTech;
Just to clarify, the difference between Psi blast across defender/corruptor and blaster is not simply a power reordering. They literally removed 1 power from the set and added Aim (psychic focus).
