Quote:I do not mind honesty, I do not mind bluntness. In this age of PC I really respect people more for speaking their mind. However I do mind if my questions start flame wars between posters. I have been on many forums and this one by far is more civilized than most out there so when this happens I tend to walk away rather than deal with the whole anger, anger, your mom, lack of intelligence posts, that so many gaming forums out there do.LA, it really wasn't a stupid question. Hopefully you don't feel like anyone is ragging on you, because I really don't think anyone is. The argument above may have been triggered by your question, but that isn't a reflection on your knowledge or even the question itself.
In case I personally said anything that came across as a downer, in my initial response to you I may have come off as blunt, but it was only meant to be matter-of-fact. -
Guys, let it go. I appreciate your trying to help GuyPerfect. But it is not worth it, let it go. I have learned my lesson about asking stupid questions here.

You know, forget it. I asked a question and it turns to a war. I really did not need to know and I obviously misinterpreted what was planned and told.

Quote:I knew I was not losing my mind. Thanks I was beginning to doubt what I was told and previously read.As much as you guys seem to like flaming someone who asks an innocent question, you probably won't like to hear that the OP was spot-on and each of you is dead wrong.
There was a questionnaire sent out privately to a portion of the player base prior to the release of Going Rogue that suggested some concepts and changes to the game to solicit feedback before making any decisions on them. Among them was the notion of ten "universal enhancement slots" that, as the text states, would (not to be confused with could) grant level shifts for an equivalent of level 60.
The applicable text is as follows:
So yes, LegionAlpha, the level 60 thing has been abandoned and my sympathies for all these jack wads giving you crap about it.
EDIT:
Since I know it needs to be said before Jackson McContradictory pipes up, the survey was never meant as a road map of things that would be happening to the game. Just because it was on the list doesn't mean it was ever in the works. Case in point, the "universal enhancement slots" became "Incarnate Slots" and not all of them provide level shifts. It's not that level 60 was on the to-do list and later removed, but rather the idea of having 10 slots with 1 level each itself was done away with. -

I was asking this to someone who might be in the know on the level shift and asked if the devs will still do the level 60(level shift) still? Basically was told at this point the idea was abandoned at this point. Of course this is possibly his opinion so I turn to the forums and ask does anyone know?

(( Possible SPOILER))
Why can it not be all 3? When Prometheus showed up it opened a can of worms to the possibility of a "War of the Ancients". Prometheus sees the Incarnates a repeat of ancient times to which he has seen and fell victim to the end results before, thus realizes humans with great power as that threat to which he hoped to avoid, but realizing that they are needed to battle the Well consuming Battalion he relents for now til the war with the aliens is over and will no doubt take steps to reclaim his flame and initiate his end game on the Incarnates if not humanity and avoid repercussions from Archangel Michael if not every Angel who is watching. Dream Doctor sees what will happen puts his plans in motion to stop both forces before in consumes all of reality. Desperate measures will be taken by him to make allies even with even the most feared ancient of em all, Ralaruu.
This all sets up to THE one big finale fight. Hey I can dream. -

I was thinking of Osborn as well. Personally, if your gonna use the armor might as well bring in the one who wore it.

Hello everyone again, I have been reading your posts to my son and he has a better understanding thanks to you all. I did do a disservice as one of poster said by not showing him the 70's Spiderman and 80's Captain America also 90's Nick Fury etc so were going to watch those this weekend to show even Marvel can have some flops.
Thanks again for the help everyone. -

I really do not know how to approach this and if my son's mom found out she would kill me. But anyhoo, my 8 year old while watching the First Iron Man and an all day comic film run when out of nowhere he asked me why Marvel heroes do well in movies and on TV over DC? (Tho he liked Batman(Christopher Nolan), the Tim Burton ones he thought not as bad but...) Together we saw the Avengers, Watched X-Men( all 3) Spiderman( Toby McGuire), Iron Man, and Thor and said they rocked. But Green Lantern, Superman Returns, made for TV Flash and Wonder Woman and Birds of Prey made him roll his eyes at them and did not enjoy them( tho I told him to be honest WW and Flash were 70's and 90's and were good in their time he did not believe me).
So now I am stuck trying to answer his question, so I turn to my fellow comic book brethren for for help and answers to his question as to why Marvel seems beat DC when it comes to some movies and TV shows.
Please note: We skipped Fantastic 4 and Punisher War Zone, because even I cannot sit through that. -
I really do not mind "zone events" and I really liked the Ritki invasion idea and would even be more excited if we went there to finish them off. The problem I have is most events have no real impact and the old ones were thrown at us for no reason(like past Anniversaries) and no story to back it up. The Nemesis invasion is a good premise that has story but feels reskinned from the Ritki one after completing Lady Grey TF and unoriginal. What I am saying I would love an Avenger's like event, but with one that would annoy some players who want to do missions, lag and lack of impact I really do not see how it would be possible.

Quote:... great, now I'm imagining a company or agency who's entire staff is made up of various evil infiltrators working at cross purposes. Like the Rikti infiltrators in human resources clashing with the automatons in accounting.
Who is to say HR is not an evil organization willed with infiltrators? Would explain alot of things. -
-Devouring Earth: Are not mutants. They are plants grown by Hami
-Paragon Protectors: Are mutates, former mutants
-Slag golems: Again created by an entity
-Syndicate: Mix of possible mutants, but naturals and tech(gadgets)
-Coralax: Again created by an entity
These groups especially the D.Es I really don't see how mutation comes into play. Nothing random and each planned and grown by for specific reasons according to those who control them. -
Some of us rather not go down this tired old plot line. The reason I wanted to see a mutant issue is that alot of the origins have had a storyline behind them that represented them, mutants have however been the origin that has been neglected for reason brought up in this thread. Mutant hating groups or stories have been done to death thanks to Marvel. What I ask is new mutant group( no reference to that company) that has taken upon itself to either throw it's hat into the ring of society of villains or a rogue band of vigilante mutants who are targeting the villain groups an answer to Malta, or even better a group of mutants who want to fight the "coming storm" using the Nuke 90. These ideas are not mutant hating or X-Men esque in anyway

Hey I am easy. I just think mutants are the least used origin for stories compared to magic, science, tech and naturals. Each origin has a story or issue directed to them. Naturals had the Kheldians with issue 3 and Cimorea with issue 12, magic had 20-22 I think, science had the return of the 5th and Council, Ritki War etc, and tech had issue 19(War Walkers, Alpha Strike). I think it is the mutants turn to shine for once. I feel mutants are the side kicks of the CoHverse with no purpose other than to be lumped in with everyone else and be the forgotten if they suddenly went extinct.

So..You like the idea of an all mutant issue? Or atleast a part of an issue?
