As for Land, yeah he does a lot of repetitive faces that I don't care for, it's not that he doesn't draw them well, it's just every hot girl can't be a clone? I do like his pacing though...

On that note, can anyone tell me why Rob Liefield is so hated? Is it because of his inventive anatomy style? I'm not a big fan, but he does have a distinct style...

I think what you're looking for is a young and up and coming machine, who can draw 10 panels without blinking, and is so hungry to get published they will work for free with hopes of everything panning out as promised.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that person exists, but probably not on this board. I was recently asked to do a 5 -7 page online comic for LESS than the prices you originally quoted. While at the time I thought the effort would be worth the price, I know the work would have been grueling, because artists for the most part are perfectionists who are never happy with their own work...

I may still do those pages, but I will have to see how hungry I am for it when the times comes.

Originally I found your first post to be a little disturbing because the promise of money isn't money, especially when bills are pending. While I may work on my childhood friend's comic for next to nothing, that's a different relationship than one with a stranger. But then I don't know your writing, you may have a fantastic idea someone eager will want to jump on, or it may just be okay, and well then the money issue comes back.

Good luck finding someone that passionate, the best revenge is at the bank, an perhaps you will survive to get that on all of those who told you the premise wasn't going to happen.

It has been pointed out that whatever work we do, we'd prefer to earn a wage for, and perhaps these bad past experiences with other artists have sullied your courage to go down that road again. But I put it to you that is only takes one yes to get something off the imaginary drawing board, and that yes will have to come from several individuals for something of quality to take off... not just you, not just the artist, but a distributor as well.

IF anything take into account what this discussion has taught you, the experience of those working in the industry, of the artists on this board, and that like most situations, you get more flies with honey.

I have heard private horror stories of certain artists, and hopefully none of those include me, on any account, I wish you luck.

You have to realize for the screenshot to be usable, especially by a blind bat like me, they have to be full screen size... we're talking at least 800 pixels by 600 pixels, less background, more toon. The ones you have are in the mid 300s, so my eyes are straining to see the details. A way around this is to tell people what the costume pieces are, so they can go into the costume creator and make the costume themselves...

I will occasionally meet someone in game to take my own screens, because let's face it, playing a toon full time, the player/creator has a very distinct and personal vision of what they spend their time with... an artist interpreting this only has the screens to use... so please they have to be larger and brighter...

Nice concept, I love it when people pick actors/actresses for their toons, as a portrait artist primarily, it really helps me define the final piece. However I'm a little confused, you say, " I'm quite sure I'll be commissioning some pieces of her", but yet you're asking, "so if anyone wants to take a crack at her"...

Do you mean take a crack at her for the commission? Like we do the piece and then ask for payment? Or did you want a free piece with any kind of likeness, just to have a 1 shot piece of art? I agree with the photo manip, if you want the actual look and can't wait...

Being both a Bell an Peel fan, I'd love to do this but I'm swamped... Darn too! I foresee a jumping into a chasm of buildings version ala Daredevil, with 2-3 smaller faded gymnastic shots behind the main figure to show movement...
