Hey a person has to warm up silly... I can't just go finishing willy nilly! Okay that didn't sound right... Anyway here's Mercinxina... more to come!

I think the ankle under the bent arm still needs to angle out more. The foot is turned in too much, and makes her feet look identical... like two left feet kind of thing. Also length wise how could if be the same size if that leg isn't bent...
Here's a side by side...

Nice brush, almost like a fine line marker...
My wife taught me this trick last July and it's made the world of difference. If you double click the brush or pencil tool, and uncheck the "keep selected" brush, you won't get the constant line disappearing thing... the "edit selected line" thing, I'm not sure what it does, but I keep it selected and it doesn't seem to matter.

Duh I meant uncheck the "Keep Selected" box, not brush, box!
If that's checked AND the "Edit Selected Lines" box is checked, then any lines you put down will stay highlighted with the nodes showing.
Or the line you just placed will disappear if another new line is placed too close to it...

I've been using Illustrator to sketch and ink since July, and loving it, check out this industry pro Brian Denham, he does some amazing stuff, and if you check his back blogs, he made some amazing free brushes ala Jack Kirby power effects... you'll frickin love em! Enjoy!

...I'm amazed that you'd undertake such a daunting task so easily...

I guess it's daunting? I do it to myself... I could have offered just the central image with 2 large enemies off on either side, but nooooooo my brain has to go and think this up!
I think part of the problem is wanting to out do yourself, and the other part is all of this is a learning experience, like can I pull it off... cross your fingers, otherwise she's getting the cropped version! -

...I do know this, that red on the color test is spot on! I likes it alot

Thanks, one of Painter's little gems, the ability to make a palette of colors from an image. I merely used one of the ones you sent me, and voila! Okay pushing forward tomorrow, the sketch from hell! j/k

Kate inks done... if Kindle okays this one, it's part of a mondo 14 figure piece... well partial figures, but 14 total... damn MMs! Thank god it's not robots! I refuse to draw robots!

I think you should do the other heroes that Uncle Artic mentioned, and montage them with this piece, which came out great!

great stuff, but I would change mention of her prices... like say "five washingtons"...

Quick doodle sketch/color test of Kate , not sure how long it took, I found a copy of the Last Unicorn at my library, and it was very distracting.
