Yeah. Major apologies to everyone. If I'd known back in 2001 it would be a such a problem, I'd have my wedding date from May 5th to something much easier... Seriously though, I'd love to be there but Friday we're throwing kids and stuff in minivan and heading for the weekend at a Disney Resort. Kids come home Sunday night (one goes to school, the little ones go to Grandma's) and we spend the rest of the week at the Disney Resort. Enchanted Land or something like that...

And no, I'm not moving my anniversary. Cinco de Mayo suits us.

And no, that wasn't hostile or sarcastic. When I get hostile, it's a lot worse. This is just... meh. For one thing, the costume peices aren't tied to issues, they're tied to drops, drops aren't tied to issues either so you can drop that whole line of BS right there. The drops? Eh... I'm still not sure about.

I've been on test server practically everyday since 2nd wave of beta and I haven't got one. Someone will probably say that you'll be able to buy them at the consignment house... hrm.. maybe. With the larger number of players on all the servers using the CH it's altogether possible there'll be a much larger selection of stuff to buy. What the prices will be? No clue. Test is way too small of an environment to base a decent guesstimate of live. The CH will be cross server, as in all the servers. That one seems like wait and see would be the best idea.

The whole costume bits as drops thing? Dude, how many people cried, complained, BMW'ed and threatened over waiting till 20 for a cape? Did that get changed? No. My lowly little opinion is that you're more likely to get the drop rates upped before getting anything really changed. So, my overall opinion? You're barking up the wrong tree.

Nobody is being forced to play. Feel free to stop at any time. On the other hand, nobody is talking about being forced to play.

On the other hand, if you are intending to build a character with a design that would use an invented costume piece under the current arrangements, you are being forced not to by the mechanics. Your options are to either not build the costume piece by virtue of doing something else in game, or not build the costume piece of doing something else out of the game. That's what 'forced' means. You don't have an option that actually lets you build the costume.

Yes, if the result was that almost nobody gets the wings. If that's their version of 'making players happy', we could use less of that. I'd cheerfully give up having wings as vet rewards if they were simply stuck into the costume designer for anyone to use. I suspect that they could yank the new wings altogether for another two issues, and it will make zero difference to the vast majority of the playerbase.

The current system is a lottery. A handful of people will win the lotto, and everyone else loses. On average, most people in their lifetimes will not win the lottery in real life. On average, most people in the coming issue will not win the costume pieces they want, either. I have no idea why you think this is 'making players happy'.

You seem very confused. Your solution to not being able to build a fitting costume in the game is to... not play? Somehow, I'm not seeing how that results in being able to build a fitting costume.

With the current drop rates, the average player with a particular costume piece in mind will probably not see that piece this issue. Or for that matter, the next. How many issues do you consider to be an appropriate wait?

Here is a list of servers we have been to so far:
Justice, Infinity, Liberty, Pinnacle, Protector, Triumph, Guardian, & Virtue.

Leaving Champion, Freedom, & Victory on deck.

What we are doing is creating small, spontaneous events that will not be announced so that people who are online at that time will get the lucky rewards of coming out and participating.

Now, we will also have several announced activities, so don't you fret.

The reason for the spontaneous events is that we can schedule them in but if things get busy then we can shift and make arrangements to alter the schedule, lets just say it gives us a bit of breathing room.

So the first one we did was around St. Patricks Day, we did an April Fools Day, Spring Gala, and the last one was centered around Freaky Friday.

w00tradio.net has gone with us each time to document the occasion, so look there for more pictures.

And don't worry "there's a lot up our sleeves."

I'm having a hard time understanding this. In the past, when the devs or mods were interested in poll results, the poll was posted with the forum software. A didn't notice that Anouke could do that...
