  1. Well done Amy! I always said you would do it!

    change to rage

looks like the message got through. This from Castle on the US boards :-

You'll be happy to know that the Defense Debuff will be going back in and the Recovery Debuff reverted out in an upcoming patch. Also, the Temp power thing is going the way of the Dodo.

I'll take a look at all this again in I12 to try and balance out the Def/Resist inequality.

For now at least..we are safe
  3. Kovnik

    City of Kittenz.

    awesome hehehe

    Nice work Mum!
  4. I remember Kov getting his Pic took by mum late one night...must admit, I am curious to see if he gets used and how it will look
  5. Gj guys!
I knew you would get it Mum hehehe
  6. You will notice, every 15-20 minutes the Flyer will "Vanish" from were ever it is (even mid fight!!) and reappear on the east side of its spawn area on full health. On both our successful runs we started fighting it, got it about half way down, when it re-set back to its start point on full health. When we took it down then, it didnt spawn again untill well after we had dropped all the surrounding mobs and all 4 towers. (and this is with 2 relativley damage "light" teams)

so..if you wait for it to re-set like this, you should only have to fight it once.

Handy if you run with just 1 tank, as when they are tanking recluse if the flyer respawns..taking it out again with just a team full of squishies and no deaths can be...tricky
  7. Its true, I see no reason why a team with scrappers couldn't do the MoSTF. (Maelwys proving it!) The way I had in mind for doing it didnt use scrappers as it relied upon the only things in melee being Tanks..but thats just one way of many. I may try running some over xmas with a "bring what you like" attitude and see how we do. Depends if I get time!
  8. ohh I just thought of 1 more thing....

The flyer resets after 15-20 mins...If you wait for it to reset before you drop it for the 1st time, you have enough time to clear all mobs around the flyer site, AND take out all 4 pillers and start fighting recluse before it spawns again. Provided you are fighting recluse waaaaayyy at the back of the arena it means you only have to fight the flyer once! (this worked on both successful attempts we ran)
  9. [ QUOTE ]
Which bits have people found the trickiest when trying for the MoSTF?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Mothers Love knows the way our team ran it..so (s)he can no doubt give you some tips. Only bits I can think ever gave us trouble =

1st mish = The ambushes after the Pipes...leave 2 things in the 1st ambush alive then head up the ramp...once at the top focus on the AV. As long as those last 2 from the ambush mob dont die, you wont have to face waves of ambushes. Makes it a lot easier. We tried other ways of avoiding it (Tping last person to take last pipe, leaving certain pipes to last etc etc but nothing else worked as well as this)

    2nd mish was easy enough

3rd mish- all squishes need to stay well away from Vines while clearing CoT. If your Tank is up to it, they should stand infront of the AV while the rest of the team clears mobs/Vines....If the Tree AV aggros it goes for the tank more often than not and so saves weaker teammates getting picked off.

4th mish - Dr Aeon...surprizingly..one of the easier mishes! All pretty stright forward (2 ambushes after sec mobs, dont forget them! lol) Dr Aeon himself...was just a case of Pets go in 1st to take Aplha, tank follows..and all focus on the AV Aeon till he drops. (you can still use Temp from the Thorn Tree even on the MoSTF) He never really gave us any problem (save once..but we wont speak of that lol)

Last mish...well a lot of luck helps lol. Eat insps like Candy. spam at least 7 -10 CM's on the Tank for the whole GW fight. Use Geas on Mako when he Eludes (except the tank of course!). Scirroco WILL drop all squsihes health to red a few times during the fight,(bloody HUGE AoE) so dont panic and have Greens handy. Oh and take out the flyer everytime it spawns!

Dont forget the Empath(s) are there to help you stay alive not save your life. Its up to you to stay alive, its not the empaths fault if you die (unless they dont CM you hehehe).

Best advice is what has already been said. Dont take it too seriously and have fun! Dont look to pass blame if anyone dies..those things happen.

I wish you all the best of luck!
  10. Good luck guys.

Hope you get it Mum, after all the unlucky runs you did with us, you deserve it!
  11. hehehe...2 successes and erm....zero.yessss that's it, zero failures..
  12. How good am I?? that will teach me to write team list down rather than do it from memory...lol

    My bad fixed it
  14. big gratz to Amy83, Roscoe Kavanaugh, Prototype 101, Ray Vision, and Enervator an another successful MoSTf run!

    Team was:-

    Kinell (stone/stone tank)
    Kovnik (Invul/SS Tank)
    Amy83 (Eng/eng blaster)
    Prototype 101 (..err...a blaster lol)
    Ray Vision (Illusion/Rad Controller)
    Roscoe Kavanaugh (empath defender)
    Taira Mirage (Empath defender)
    Enervator (Kin/elec Defender)

Once again Roscoe was another Empath that had never done the STF before and is now the proud owner of the "Master of.." badge hehehe

Took less than 3 hours this time round too !

I am starting to think a novice STF team member is a good luck charm
  15. Well, I spoke to Amy last night and we decided to give it another shot on Sat. No fixed time yet, as I dont know when I will get online (xmas shopping to do hehehe). Probably sometime around 3:00pm UK.

Send a tell to @Kovnik if you wanna join us.

I expect some people will have to be turned away this time due to numbers, as anyone that ran it with us before and missed the badge will get 1st choice of spots...

Lets hope we can make it another success

We will try to run one on a regular(ish) basis if the interest is there.
  16. Thanks Mum, shame you and Amy83 missed it. We will have to run it again at the weekend for the ones that missed out.

And thxs for the post Betty, you beat me to it! (was gonna post it on my lunch break at work but couldn't remember how to spell Tai's name lol!)

Everyone did really well. Over the last week and a half we have been running this I have teamed with some AWESOME people. Its funny how placing a "no Deaths" restriction really brings out the best in people hehehe

As for clear instructions?? you mean clasic's like :-

    "Eate Plurples noe plx"

    and

"Leave 2 aluve and head up teh Ranp"

you guys should get a badge just for working out what the hell I was typing ! P

(*edit* Awww I just noticed my fat elbow is blocking Kitty in the pick hehehe)
  17. Agreed, definatly do-able, I put it in Resist Physical Damage so that I kept the Aegis - Psi/status when I exemp. (as unstop would be the 1st power to vanish.) But if you wanted to free the slot, its a good way to do.
  18. Yeah, there were a couple of places were I slotted "just incase". The extra slot in Stam being one of them (just incase any Stam set IO's are any good! ).

The stun increase in jab and boxing were just for fun, as these 2 powers are really nothing more than "fillers" for Haymaker, footstomp and Kockoutblow.

I just had a look at dropping Unstop for hasten..and I must say I am tempted! I hardly ever use unstop as it is, and if Mids is not lying to me..with hasten on, I can Perma stack Dullpain! (its recharge drops to 115.2 secs with hasten while its lasts 120 secs!!) Maybe I could then move that extra slot out of Stam and into Hasten for faster reharge on that...hmmmmmmm, actually its not quite permas Dull pain, due to the 60 sec downtime on a 3 slotted hasten? Am not sure, someone with better math than me better check that one out! lol

In fact, hasten would even allow me to move both extra slots from rage, as with hasten I can still get over 20 secs of double rage with just one recharge reduct in it..I must say I am tempted....any thoughts?
  19. Hi guys, Long time player 1st time poster so be kind!

After playing my Invun/SS tank for some time and getting annoyed by all the Psi-squishiness I decided that when the Invention stuff hit I was going to play around with filling that little ***** in the Armour. After a lot of playing around on Mids (awesome program!) I came up with the build below, and thought I would share.

Now I know this is an EXPENSIVE build, and so wont be for everyone. For me it is something I am working towards while I try to earn my last two Inf badges!

I tried to keep the top-end Res/Def stats on the Invun build while adding 39.9% Psi Res and and 22.1% Psi Def!

Unstop is not slotted as I tend to play with it more as a "panic Button" type power, as I prefer the stability of not having to worry about unstop dropping all the time. Also, while I can knock out a fair wack of damage with this build (especially with double Rage on!) I dont consider doing damage to be a Tanks job, so its not something I slotted for, other than to get the Psi bonuses. Also, ignore the lvl of slot placement, They were added after all powers were picked, and in no particular order, so can be reworked to be placed as you lvl up. The effect I was going for is just how the build should look at Lvl50.

Anyway, enough of the padding, here it is, lets see what ppl think!
