  2. Uh oh, i've just read WonderGrans post. And i think you're all right about Mass Hypnosis. When soloing Psy-knight is the best there is. But in teams, even in a team of 3, things got really nasty because my lack of area control powers. For your knowledge, Psy is now 25 and just get Mass Dominate at 24. I changed my build, actually it was Okton's build but i changed it a little so changed again to get Mass Hypnosis as soon as possible. Will slot it 2 accs and 2 recharge i think this will be enough.

    I tried other controllers set a little bit but no other set gets close to satisfy my needs other than Mind. I wanted to make another controller but i read a guide about controller like sets and will make my last toon as Ice/Ice Blaster.

  3. Thanks again. Changed the levels of Tar patch Recall Friend and pushed Hasten to lvl 35.
  4. Okay but i have one question, will i be in dire need of hasten just like my Mind troller. Powers recharge rate seems reasonable for me. Maybe i should change it with TP enemy. But if i recall correctly TP Enemy also have aggro chance so that means i can cause aggro while trying to raise fallen heroes.

  6. It's me again with some weird build.

    This time i decided to make a mutant/magic heroine which is basicly focusing on curses (debuffs). I made a build in Hero Builder and it says you can put DefDeDuff enhancements in Radiation Blast set.

    Here's the sample build and waiting for your advices. I am total stranger to Dark Miasma and used once Radiation Blast and throw the hero away because x-ray beam was getting on my nerves.

    Thanks in advance. If this build will be okay too, my new little SG V6 will be completed.

    Fire/storm?

    Heh Okton is here to rescue my build again.

    I had a Storm/NRG defender, an ancient shaman but i decided to turn him into a controller. But still can't decide between Fire/Storm, Ice/Storm or Earth/Storm. Ice/Storm is not so appaeling for me as it is very common. Fire/Storm is fine and with a build it is ready to go after some tweak for my taste. Maybe i will research Earth/Storm a little bit. But thanks for the build Okton.
  12. Heh i think FF is a kind of curse, once it is in your blood you can't take it out.

    I retired Knightly Defender (lvl 30 FF/Psi) because of non-soloing abilitiy on my side. But roll another FF defender yesterday but the secondary is kinda unknown to me. And can't find any guide about it. I make a FF/Electric defender. Is there anyone tried that kinda build or any electric secondary user. Which attacks will go well with my primary. I will get basic bubbles (PFF and 3 team friendly ones) + Force Bolt and Force Bubble, maybe Detention Shield too.

    For making things easier here is my possible build.

    I prefer AS over Hover, because i don't think it looks good on my character. Also AS will be little show of her power-armor.

    Melee Defender

    Oh i think i have to point a thing. The real reason for making a melee bubbler is not making a melee bubbler, making a bubbler with no secondary, only melee attacks that will show his martial arts training. I know with one hit from a white you are faceplanted.

    I was thinking about more comic book like character, so i will get any travel power out of it too. But after some thinking i think this will not work, kinda boring. But anytime my friends start new characters i can change my mind.

    I chose kin and the synergy is quite good (like SBing the slowest pet around ), but out of the that 3 you mention, I would probably choose Storm for a good team support character which can also solo a bit. I haven't played TA high enough to judge, but the synergy is not that great with Sonic, unless you want a seriously team-based build, with little soloability. Earth (not Stone ) is probably the most "hard control" focused primary (with the consequent lack of damage). In addition to tons of control, Storm brings 2 powerful attacks (Tornado and Lightning Storm), even if they come a little late (35 and 38). In addition, you have the tools to use them properly solo because of the -kback of your immobs. Sonic is a good set, but needs team-mates to shine (+res shields), and team-mates which do damage (for the -res debuffs). Your pet doesn't really need the shields since he's quite resistant to begin with, and it will be hard to use Sonic Disruption on him effectively since you have to drag him to get in melee.

    So although my personal preference would be /kin or /rad, /storm would be my next choice.

    Kinetic also makes sense with Earth, you can think about it is controlling gravity, most powers prove that. Also Storm is fine from a RP view. I always keep that point in mind when creating heroes. I have rad/sonic and mind/rad characters. First i thought Mind/Rad, or anything with rad is kinda weird, then i came up with an idea. Both Bloody Wail (Rad/Sonic) and Psy-knight (Mind/Rad) are mutants. Also they are brothers. Their father afraid of their mutant genes and tried to cure them with radiation. Somehow during the "cure" brothers became able to control Radiation as well and they flee from their homeland to Paragon City, where they can find peace between heroes.

    I am not an expert on powers but this is my example to you.
  16. Nothings troubles me, 'coz i won't step into the PvP zones for picking up fights. But i am wondering how they look like so i can take a tour with Knightly in there. Maybe after i reach 50 i will get into there, i mean after i learn an AT good.

    Hmmm when you invisible there is no way to others detect you right?

  18. Hmm i can't attend to Sewers but if you need a hand for Citadel, give me a shout. Possibly i will be around. KD is retired but if you will need a lvl 25 Rad/Sonic defender, Bloody Wail will be happy to fight beside you.
  19. Yay! Thanks soo much Okton. With some order changes like SS and later taking flight (Flight is so slow if you get used to SS ). Maybe instead of Mutation getting Confuse or Mass Hypnosis is a better thing to do.

    You put 3 slots on fly but i think only one is enough for me, i will use it only for gettin top of high buildings and etc.
  20. Yep i drop it (I mean kick and tough) it doesn't worth it. And will get EF after stamina. Maybe i get Recall Friend or Flight instead of them. I actually covered all the powers i wanted some powers make into build just to fill spaces. (Like Mutation and Fall out).

    After reaching lvl 20 he will begin to attend a steady team so i think, Mass Hypnosis and Confuse can be skipable. As well as chocking cloud.

    If you point out something usefull instead of this powers i will happy to get them. Also should i slot mind attacks with EndRdx ? Even in level 8 i have serious end problems. AM helps a little but still so hard to keep up with team.

    Instead of Kick and Tough i will get AS and Flight. SS is fine but lack of vertical movement makes me mad sometimes.
    And one speed enhancement is enough for SS or should i make it two?
  21. Yes they helped too much to understand me that i need to learn soo much about controlling.

    But here is some points that was in my mind when i did this build.

    I get stealth because it would be good with SS but later i changed it to SJ. So Stealth is not soo much usefull for me i admit, i can find another ways to skip mobs.

    I didn't get Fort, Heal Other and AB but i get clear mind because it has a good concept with Telepathic powers. And i don't want to get so much into the Empathy, i can't be an empath. But name requires for me to get Empathy. o.O

    Healing Aura, both RAs will help me as well as others. Get Absorb Pain for dramatic effects. I put Rez in but possibly at that level will change it with TK or another power i like.

    Honestly if this wasn't a concept character i would prefer Rad maybe Kin to Empathy.

    And for Flurry, i want a melee power in my character, i always wanted it so it will be either Jump Kick or Flurry in this build so i picked Flurry (Actually i want to see Jump Kick in action)

    But i changed the concept in my mind and make it Mind/Rad this time. I think i can covered it better this time.

  22. Thanks Unthing, i will save it to my favorites asap.

    And i think soloing is more depends on personal preference. In teams everyone can do something and should be able to carry him/herself. But when you are all alone you must pick the one which suits your play style best. For me it is Mind controllers. Also there is some awesome defenders set like Dark/Dark or Rad/* - Kin/* but i like to slow down the game a little i guess. This is why i have a hard time to solo defenders, for mind when you hold enemy it is held nothing more you are no more threatened. You will take down mobs with defender faster but with controller safer.
  23. I have a mind/empathy controller at lvl 8, i was using him for soloing but as i gave up my main i try to focus on him more. But not sure about slottings as i never played fully with a mind troller at higher levels, past 20 for example. Here is my build.

    The powers you will see up to lvl 8 are already taken. I get stealth for scouting and flurry for extra damage (AS will be far more good choice but i want hasten and i picked Flurry instead of Jump Kick)

  24. You are right about Contorller and MM bubbles but if you wanna use bubbles and play solo, i think Contorller is a better option.

    For Sonic, Hero Builder says it has -15% acc on all attacks. Which i doubted 'cause my hero rearly miss with one +acc on each attack (i have only 3 on my rad defender; shriek, scream and shout)

    Also most of the psi set has long animations than other sets or did i know it wrong too? (I didn't include bow drawing animations of the Archery)
  25. Hmmm i can't see Force Bolt here, IMO for a bubbler it is my real panic button instead of PFF. You can beat any color up to red one on one by using Force Bolt. Quick recharge and good Knockback. Also you can use it to protect blasters or other defenders if they don't have any KB power, trollers usually have good holds for stoping them.
