Okay list time again;
1- Dante: Something Dante, Dark/Dark Defender
2- Nightmarer: Agent Magnum, Earth/Rad Controller
3- Knightly: Chatter-bug, Son/Dev Blaster
4- Cerulean: Unnamed, Ill/FF Controller
5- Louisoj: Travelling Crusader, Ice/Axe Tanker
6- Swindler: Another Unnamed one, MA/SR Scrapper
7- Cap.Darling: First Boy Scout, Katana/SR Scrapper
8- Waiting for last vacant spot.
Looks like a great team to me. Good for TFs too (If Cerulean get Recall Friend it will simply be the best one). I am still not certain about name/insect theme, so name can be change but as i find a team like that i will give that blaster a go. But first i need to post my build and get some critics about it (I am a blaster n00b).
-
I will help you get Isolater. It don't take that much long to be honest.
But one thing i have to admit; i can't wait for launching out that MA/Inv Scrapper. Maybe i will give it a go tonight. So in short don't be suprised if you see another toon instead of a scrapper in Monday evening, like a Sonic/Dev blaster. -
Okay here is a reminder for who wants to help Marvel Avenger. He has daltonizm (color-blind).
I don't have so much knowledge about tankers and sloting of powers but here is two tips from me.
First: Don't spend 6 Slots on Fly. 3 Single Origins is enough to reach its cap if i recall correctly.
Second: Instead of trying to buy Single or Dual origins, if you have influence buy Invention Origin recipes and slot your powers with them. With lvl 30 (as you are lvl 32 you can also use lvl 35 ones) Invention Origin enchanements you can get good results with traditional slotting. I heard from many people that IOs are expensive. But in my opinion, one will cost you 100.000 influence for lvl 30 IOs, which is more cheap than changing it with Single Origins every 3 level. And one more plus side for you Mr. Avenger they carry same symbols as Training origins you use. Only have hexagon border.
(Last one personal note: If you are short on Influence contact me in game and i can give you some recipes and rare salvages i don't use so you can earn some nice influence from them and slot your hero accordingly. Also i can spend sometime with you for helping you gathering salvages or recipes needed for them)
Cheers. -

Sonic - This doesnt seem to bad, not sure how good the cone power is, and the -res component wud be nice. Seems to have some nice utility in its aoe sleep as well I guess not sure how good dreadful wail is, i honestly dont see many sonic blasters around so I dunno how good they are (or if they are more of a blapper set)
[/ QUOTE ]
I guess this is my cue to rant about how much I like the Sonic/Energy combination?
To be honest, Sonic is a very safe set for Blasters. It has three soft control powers which mesh very nicely with the secondary. Mine is level 35 and so far doesn't have a debt badge (although I'm sure the debt fairies will target me now I've said it...) mainly due to the fact that I can sleep, stun or knockback my foes. The -res is very nice in providing a little extra boost to damage.
The damage is also both Smashing and Energy and IIRC, not many foes resist both at the same time so the damage output is very nice. Opinion on the cone power is mixed. Its damage output is very average but it can -res a whole spawn which is very nice as a team can take advantage of that. But on the whole, Sonic is a very single target oriented set.
Dreadful wail is a great nuke. It's fast and stuns pretty much anything that survives meaning that you can actually get out of there alive. Blapping is eminently possible. Not my cup of tea myself but you won't be gimped in melee. The stuns in the Energy secondary stack with the stun in the primary so it can be quite effective.
Hope that helps some.
[/ QUOTE ]
I teamed up with a high level (nearly 36 or 38) sonic blaster. Looks really great. But i don't know if its nuke is what you are looking for. In the heat of the battle i only noticed Sonic nuke because of the players bind. But effect is nice.
I have one blaster at lvl 5 which is Ice/Ice and i am pretty sure if i evet get into Blasters my next one will be a Sonic/*. Sonic has a big turn off for some; sound FX. I still don't like the sound of Shout. But luckily Scream has a lovely voice.
And maybe i am wrong but i think Sonic is more good than Ice in the terms of endurance usage. -

I have a Claws/Dark at lvl 23 and it is becoming awesome. Claws is so light both in recharge and in end that I am barely noticing the end drain of the DA toggles.
As you said, I don't think DM is what you are looking for a regen. Probably Spines/Regen will be a good combo for you to try if Regen is a must. If regen is not a must and you want to give a go to DM (which is awesome set IMO), try a DM/SR and be ready to have tons of fun combining the /SR defenses with the ToHitDebuffs of DM and see the foes being unable to hit you during the full streak.
Regarding the build, I have become lately reluctant to give opinions on builds since the most important thing on a build is to match the player playstile, however, on this build I'd at least advise you not to put more than the base slot on the passives unless you are looking for a set bonus and bear in mind that Unstoppable for a scrapper is numerically different than unstoppable for a tanker. Invulnerability is in my opinion the 2nd easiest set for a scrapper to handle after regen. It will breeze you through early lvls due to it's awesome rsistance to smashing/lethal which greatly improves with Tough. The downside is that against psionic damage you are dead meat (try the Clockwork King on an Inv) unless you are on a good team with buffers - debuffers and healers (or of course, enough set bonuses). Besides, MA/Inv is potentially the most accurate scrapper that can be created (or at least it was pre-I9)
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm I never had Unstopable on my tanker, left him on lvl 20. ^_^ So should i left Unstopable ouf of my build? I am sure i can find some usefull things to get (Like Focus Chi or Warriors Challenge or Tough Hide or Stealth).
And i think i can move some slots on health for getting +Recovery from sets. -
Okay here's what i love to do most. A list.
Current line up is as the following;
1- Dante: Dark/Dark Defender
2- Nightmarer: Rad/Son Defender
3- Knightly: MA/Inv Scrapper
4- Curelean: Ill/Rad Controller
5- louisoj: Ice/EM Tanker
6- Swindler: MA/SR Scrapper
We have two places open. I hope some Blasters will join us.
Oh god, Monday seems sooooo far away. -

as i don't like EM Pulse i will get it at lvl 49.
[/ QUOTE ]
EM Pulse is much much better than Choking Cloud.
And why Elec Mastery???
[/ QUOTE ]
Power of Zeus. He maybe looks like another Rad/Archery hero but his powers comes from Ancient Greek Gods. Mostly from Apollo, who's granted the powers to this young man. I also decided to change fly with Super Speed as it will reflect speed of Hermes. If you look this build in the manner of arcade game type, Thunder Strike is BoA's Mega Move.(I know there's also Total Focus for representing godly might but Zeus is God of Thunder and i can get Thunder Strike at lvl 41)
-
Heh i have my picture here. "Looks his avatar" You can add this cute thing there too.
Psy-knight is a Science Controller, but i prefer real aspect of him on the picture, Mind and Rad symbols. ^_^ -

I left leadership instead took Recall Friend and Choking Cloud (which i still have doubts about putting sets or not), as i don't like EM Pulse i will get it at lvl 49. Or maybe if i feel short of attacks i will get Fistful of Arrows instead of it. -
Wow they look cool.
Nice work and looking for more avatars from you. -
Really? I thought Vengeance will be good. But if you say i won't need it i will be more happy to drop that thing and get some nice things instead of them.
Okay running back to builder to kick out leadership. -
Heh my future builds are lined up in my head. Claws/DA, BS or Katana/Regen and DM/SR. I hope i can do them before new sets arise. I can never say no to Psychic Weaponary from that offerd sets tho, psi is my weak spot.
---------------------------------------------------------
On the side note i can say that; after getting into Tanker and Scrapper builds i understand that these two ATs really really need a new set or more. With blaster, defender and controller (i also think a new controller primary which is different than other immob/hold/pet ones will be good) plenty to do state no wonder Tanker and Scrapper lovers feel themselves left aside. -
Hmm okay no more worries for lefting Explosive Arrow behind.
If i fit it somewhere i can get hasten but i can't decide which power to push back.
Also personally i want to add recall friend into that build for Av fights. You know let one sacrifice himself. TP him to a safe spot buff team. Later TP him middle of the group than Fallout. And if that person is a Blaster, Mutation + Nova.
You know being a harbinger of a Divine Entity isn't easy. -
Thanks for good and fast replies mates.
Over all as i understand what you say, Dark isn't what i am looking for. But from Unthing's words i can see now my Claws/Dark idea is very good. But it will be my later project because of the many toggles and hard to use powers in DA like a scrapper n00b like me.
I always go for Regen in my Scrapper builds because it contains least toggles in it, so that means easy to use for a newbie.
As i's playing with builder i matched my two known sets and make a build. It has two good advantages on my count, knowing what to do and good animations. So here's my build.

Thanks again. -
I want to make a Magic Origin Scrapper which will be */Regen. I already made MA, BS and Katana Regen and played 'till mid 10s. As Magic in question i want to go for Dark Melee but i am afraid it isn't as damaging as others.
Can you give me some insight about Dark vs. other sets. As i will roll a scrapper my main focus is damage. With regen in my hand i don't worry about secondary effects of attacks. BS is the most damaging one i know but it is way too slow.
Thanks for your insight. (oh one thing tho, i will surely get Jump Kick, i love that power)
-
For leveling in the Hollows; it contains good XP but travelling and waiting for team members etc. makes leveling progress very slow.
Beloved of Apollo is few missions before the Frostie. If everyone wants to do that mission i can get Forstie and wait for Monday.
And one more thing about the team. I think it is better if this one will be a well balanced team. If you keep damage short (As far as i can see we have 3 def or 2 con/1 def (and probably most of the defenders will have 2 attacks at best because of rad and dark are early blooming sets and have so many must have powers)) your fast leveling plan will get a big blow. I can make one of my "so-long-wanted-to-make-but-didnt-find-time" builds which are a Son/Nrg blaster or Dark-MA-BS/Regen scrapper. As i said i am not into it for PL, just for support you and your idea. So just tell me what you need and i will roll it on Monday nite. -
Wow!
I reached lvl 8 with Beloved of Apollo. Aaaand i think i am in love with Rad/Archery. I must admit i have doubts about Rad/Archery but after getting my debuffs and saw that you don't drop your bow while debuffing, yeah Archery is better with Radiation than Sonic. Only downside is you have to drop your bow for healing.
So here's my current build. Not happy with it that much so many powers to take.

OMG! I totally forgot it.
Last nite i logged in with BoA and found a great team so i forgot everything else.
But I am really glad you could do it without me.
I am really really sorry for that. -
Count me in Dante. I will re-roll my Grav/Empath and probably change to my Rad/Archery on lvl 8. Just for showing that certain person how the PL is done.
And on the bonus side, teaming with you one more time will be a joy and honor for me.
Monday is fine for me. But keep in mind that traveling between missions in Kings without travel power very time consuming.
One good chance for xp is Frostfire if you ask me. -
Thanks for joining Chin. It is Sunday then. As usual time:
Sunday, 24th June 2007 13:00 - 13:30 BST.
If you need to lvl Osprey i will happy to help. Psy-Knight is lvl 39; 2 bars away from the 40. So i guess i can sk you and we can run my missions. Just send tell to me in game. -
more hugging on the way then.
I will set time due to others' replies. But meeting point is obivious. Eden gate in the Founders Falls. -
One more time and i suppose for a long time Psy-knight calling fellow heroes to help.
As Psy is in range of Eden Trial i want to make it this weekend. Any one wants to take part please leave the name and lvl of your hero.
Here's the details:
Eden Trial.
Trial NPC: Woodsman
Lvl Range: 39 - 41
Players Needed: 4
Starting Loc: Eden
Main Enemy: DE
If there ain't any problems with team mates, i want to start at 14:00 BST on Saturday, 23rd June 2007. But if everyone or majority want it on Sunday it suits me fine too.
Hope to see you in there.
PS: This will be the last V6 mission for a long time. I will leave Psy-knight for a while and focus on my other alts Beloved of Apollo and Psy-shield (count my word with this one TFs will be really easier (he has stealth/invisibility/recall friend and PFF) or will take a small break from the game as i feel tired (of both RL and in game troubles). So i will be very pleased if my former team mates from earlier events will take place in this one too. -
Not much. I only have unique one in Tempest (chace of end drain) but never see it work or didn't realized tbh.
As Okton said unique damage enhancement only give extra damage to the power you slotted.
As resistances by sets, sorry but I don't feel any difference due to sets i placed. (Placed sets are Hibernation 5, Nightmare 6, Malaise Ill 4, Ruin 3, Harm.Healing 4, Touch of Death 4, Preplex 2, Temp.Readiness 5, Tempest 4) Maybe it is because of the sets i choose. Anyway i still got sets to put in some powers. -
Thanks all the friends that take place in that TF.
I already did the Numina for second time on Sunday morning. That team was great too. A special thanks for that team for completing the TF in Rugged.(Yep on double xp each passing hour i became more careless)
Instead of opening another thread i am asking from here.
For coming weekend if you are up for another team up, please choose one of the following.
1- Dr.Quaterfield TF (SSTF1)
2- Sara Moore TF (SSTF2)
3- Eden Trial. -
